I am not Ms. Neumann’s client. But I can say she did a great job for her own client. Because she fought for a guy to win in DVTRO and get the shared custody. This is a guy who touched his 9 year old daughter during/after the shower and videotaped her while she was changing her clothes, and who withheld medication and night-guard from his 8 year old son, who developed migraine/headache and grinding teeth after DVTRO was filed. This does not even include what he did to his ex-spouse.

When I came to Sara I had hired and consulted another lawyer to handle a paternity suit that was sprung on me while I was visiting the USA after residing in another country. This was very difficult, as I could not leave the country with my child and go home to my husband and my child's stepdad (whom she views as her dad). I was very scared because I had single-handedly raised my child and I knew no one else should have the right to keep me from traveling anywhere, as this person had not even contributed to my child's birth or upbringing in any significant way.
But, that being said, the reality was such that I was being advised by my first lawyer that I should respond to the paternity suit with a move-away trial as I had barely missed dismissing the case with a jurisdictional claim.
I felt something was off though, because this case was so clear and cut (my ex was not on the birth certificate, he had not emotionally or financially supported me/the child in any significant way).
**I saw the light when I spoke to Sara. She confirmed my intuition with her expertise, immediately confirming that I indeed could file for a termination of parental rights. She lay my fears to rest. We met and I presented her with the facts of my case. After assuring me she would not take my case if she did not believe she could help me, I released my other lawyer from duty and hired her.
What a great decision!! She lived up to her reassurances: it took perhaps longer than the move away trial, which was inconvenient only due to my particular case of being in a country we no longer reside in, away from my husband and our new life abroad, yet so worth it so that, a) my husband could adopt my son; and, b) to get the ex out of our hair so that he could no longer make our lives difficult.
I had faced a lot of disempowering conversations amongst not only people, acquaintances, etc. but also lawyers: people discouraging me from doing the termination of parental rights just because it sounded "mean" and so "final" to them. I knew inside of me, however, that the way my ex was handling this was unhealthy and selfish towards my child, with a paternity suit (after I had tried SO many times to civilly settle for some kind of visitation, yet he disappeared whenever he wanted, was inconsistent, and really only looked after his own interests and not my son's, who needs consistency in his life) and not being agreeable to reaching some kind of settlement (other than keeping my child after he had NEVER had custody, ever, or even seen him more than a handful of times/hours in his years of life).
The point is--Sara empowered me. She never once questioned me, she backed me up 100% and was a strong ally. She understand completely what I wanted, why I wanted it, has a child herself and understood my protective feelings toward my child, that I was 100% committed to her best interest.
She did her job diligently. I knew I could count on her to show up at the court appearances, and made an uncomfortable situation even pleasant. She wrote the briefs in such a way that made complete sense to me. She has ample expertise on the topic of stepparent adoption and termination of parental rights. She knew a lot of the staff in the courts/ offices we were in, and they knew her. She was personable, kind, compassionate, prepared, in communication, easy to get a hold of. Her offices made it easy and pleasant to pick up/drop off documents.
Also, when I told her that I was looking to get budget-oriented towards the middle of the whole legal situation, she was so cooperative and helpful with this.
We won our case and just got word the appeal was dismissed as well.
Cannot recommend her enough if you are in this sort of situation. She certainly seems like *THE* lawyer to hire in any kind of similar situation. I recommend her fully.

My husband and I called the law offices of David Chesney at his first court date they were super kind over the phone explained everything to us took our payment over the phone partial and let us make payments as the case was going forward any questions that we had we were answered promptly. They even called us and did a follow-up a few months later to see how we were doing. I hope I don't ever have to use them again, but if for some reason we do definitely will. will also recommend them to family and friends if needed

Hired and initially good. I believe he is a good person. However, as my case progressed, poor guidance was given and it cost me physical protection from my abusive ex. When the case got complex, he clearly preferred to believe another attorney and showed more concern about his reputation than fighting for a little girl who was strong enough to report her abuser. When he was released from his position, he neglected to produce documents in his care that cost me over thousands of dollars. Still fighting in court to get payment due to his negligence.

A year ago I found Christopher John on Avvo, and because of good reviews I decided to go to their office for consultation. In the office I got a free consultation from MR Hannosh who works in Sunnien Law as an attorney. He said that they work together with Christopher. He was very nice and helpful and I decided to hire them to work on my divorce case.
I worked with Sunnien Law and Mr Hannosh on my divorce case.
I paid them for my divorce 4000$ in advance. As soon as I realized that Sunnien law spent all this money, I wrote them a letter that I don't want to work with their agency anymore, because I don't have a job and money and I am actually an international student. In 2 month they sent me an invoice and said that I have to pay them almost 4000$ on top of what I already paid.
I feel like these people tricked me because my English is not very good. They did a very bad job with my divorce case. I finally went to the court alone. They did everything to charge me as much as possible and do a very little job.
They work very badly, don't pay attention to details and they don't care about the result. NEVER hire them.

I was being accused of absurd claims by the company and Attorney Ruyle helped me navigate through the issue and judge dismissed it within 15 minutes of the hearing.

The are basura I just recommended this service the case a year ago and it’s still waiting. Mi friend said I’m waiting and waiting and the said the lost the paper work I don’t know and it looks like this one is like a scam so him pay in full so they can make more faster service but still I don’t don’t get any results. They say the need more paperwork for him so don’t even send the applications to the usis . The have before other real lawyers have it before they take care quickly. The only thing they can not do more because that step 2 are frozen but with this services of Narciso just only take you money at time, maybe can be more faster I you hire real one .. still no answer no clue and I have a answer for different lawyers. They have in his network I never the only first time to talk to the original Narciso. It was the time I open the case I was by video conference since that time I don’t know nothing about it so check first before you use the service maybe help you but in this case is the first time it’s like frozen and no answers and I tried to cancel but you money never get back be aware no pay in full I don’t see any service done. Roy Doppelt was grossly unprepared during court hearings. So much so, I almost felt sorry for my ex-husband who he hired to represent him. My attorney ate him for lunch and it left my ex worse off than when he started. He immediately fired Roy to seek new counsel. Roy’s attempts to go for the jugular, play dirty and act like a big shot, ended up shooting my ex in the foot. Not to mention he has no problem fabricating horrific stories and situations in a scummy way to get a leg up in the case (ie, the Silver Bullet offense). In the end, the judge saw through his tactics and reversed all prior orders against me.
He has zero integrity and can’t effectively litigate, so he decides to just throw out untruths to muddy the waters. He’s why divorce attorneys have a bad name. He is inept, unorganized, and dubious.
Don’t fall for his “nice guy” demeanor or placating tone of voice. He is a snake.

In order for Roy Doppelt to decide whether he wanted to take my case, he had me provide him a copy of the six-volume court file. I organized everything into binders with hundreds of tabs marking the docs. After reading my file, he decided not to represent me in court but agreed to help me with an upcoming trial. He then decided to removed all the docs from binders, remove my hundreds of tabs and Post-It notes, and put the docs in a box, out of order, turned around, upside down -- when I have an upcoming trial and REALLY need those docs organized. When I expressed my disappointment, he told me I can have another attorney re-tab it. So basically, I paid Roy $8,226 to review my file, say no, and remove my many hours of file organization, AND I will need to pay another attorney to re-organize it.
Also, I had an ex parte matter where I needed someone in the office to verify with a judge that I incurred many legal fees regarding an issue. The task would have only taken 20 minutes to review an invoice and testify remotely. An attorney reviewed my pleadings but was supposedly told by Roy to not respond. I lost the $10K case simply because I did not have that witness. Not only that, I requested five times for their $295 attorney fee to be removed, but Roy refused. I paid $295 for zero response, which caused my loss of $10K.
So basically, Roy cost me $8,226, $295, $10,000 + another $8K for another attorney to make sense of my disorganized file. That's $26,226.

This review is long overdue. A dissolution is an extremely emotional and draining process period. The best thing you can do for yourself and for your child may not just be to get a divorce, but to work with a firm that genuinely cares about your circumstances and will fight tooth and nail for you. I get emotional just reflecting on how much more I got out of my dissolution than I could have ever imagined if it weren’t for Paul, Liz, and Linda. These 3 ARE the light at the end of the tunnel.
Who you work with MATTERS, especially if you’re involved in a high-conflict divorce with children involved. Do what’s best for yourself and your children and retain this firm. I am writing this with tears because of how grateful I am to have these 3 incredible attorneys by my side every step of the way.

I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

They sent the dealer I bought a car from a demand letter without my knowledge and I don’t even know how he got my information I don’t know how this is legal. I only found out from the dealership. Kasra Sadr was doing all of this behind my back trying to get money from the dealer I bought a car from. I never knew this lawyer before I got notification about a demand letter sent on MY BEHALF?? WITHOUT MY CONSENT. This is absolutely INSANE! What a low thing to do. There is nothing wrong with my car and I have NO IDEA how he got my information. Then he tried to convince me to sue the dealership and that I could “make a lot of money” since my car has been in an accident according to the auto check. But I already knew this when I bought the car and literally signed for it so there was NO POINT in trying to sue them for something I already knew about at the time of the purchase. He not only violated my privacy by getting my information, but also tried to get me to falsely sue the dealership when they did nothing wrong and disclosed everything to me. I DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!

Mr. Garland showed up disheveled and either drunk or hungover at my custody hearing. He was totally unprepared, and had not read or responded to my ex-wife's declaration to the court, which was full of lies. I saw her declaration for the first time at the hearing.
Because of his incompetence, I lost custody of my kids that day. After the hearing he said, "well, it's not all bad, you can see them during the summers." It is a miracle I didn't knock him out cold right then and there.
I should have sued him for malpractice. If you are even remotely considering hiring him --- DON'T.

When I first separated from my ex-wife 7 years ago, I made the mistake of retaining a novice attorney who succeeded in billing me over $5,000 in the first month simply for the pleasure of filing the divorce petition. It was clear that my faith had been misplaced. I quickly initiated a search for new counsel and found Mr. Garland quite by chance. That was probably the best find of my life. Mr. Garland is a top-notch attorney with almost as many years' experience as my former marriage had lasted. I found Mr. Garland to be very knowledgeable in family court matters. He billed fairly and accurately for his services. His countenance is the epitome of cool, calm, and collected both in front of a judge and in front of his client. I only wish that I had begun my divorce petition with Mr. Garland at the outset. Needless to say, he soon had things back on the right course. I firmly believe that his consultative approach and considered advice throughout were instrumental in resolving my case, including putting an end to all spousal support, in a much, much shorter time frame than could otherwise have been expected given that mine was a "marriage of long duration," not a phrase to be taken lightly in the state of California. I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

He never called back the first time I booked . The second time I booked he called back but his answers to my questions were vague or he would say "I don't know". His excuse was that he was in San Diego and I was in Los Angeles county and he didn't know what forms to file in family court because LA and San Diego superior courts use different forms but that's a lie in most cases. What a waste of time.

Beyond rude to people trying to do the right thing and pay off an debit. They refuse to send you anything via the mail such as receipts or agreements for payment contract but want your debit card info, imagine that. The employee Aaron i spoke with hung up on me when asking how we’d go about sending receipts and placed me on hold about 20 times in our hour long bs conversation. Hopefully I’ll be able to speak to someone perfessional to get this resolved as that’s what I was attempting to do.

Koryn Sheppard is a tough-nosed, no-nonsense attorney who does not mince her words, keeps the opposing counsel honest, and diligently and compassionately asserts her client's rights without any doubts. As far as issues in dispute, she will cut to the chase and save the client time and money. I hired Christine about 4 years back to help with my divorce and custody cases. She eventually helped me with getting a restraining order as well and has done a phenomenal job at every turn. It’s been an extremely difficult case but she has fought for me and my children like we’re her only client and that has made all the difference. I have to give rave reviews for Christine and thumbs down reviews for "Family Court". Christine is up front as much as possible in all ways and her experience & attention to details is exemplary. She also goes out of her way to try to keep expenses down. Bottom line is that you can trust her to do a good job. Sadly, in Family Court, history has proven time and time again that the woman in a divorce or separation case can get away with virtually anything with total impunity to include any and every type of abuse to include child abuse, elder abuse & violence, lying, falsification of records or documents filed with the court, false testimony, lying at depositions, grand theft robbery, embezzlement, immigration marriage fraud, marriage fraud, and other forms of abuse. The court could care less. When you present even criminal information in court during live testimony, and you hear the presiding judge say; "that's no big deal, lots of people do that", is greatly disappointing and destroys trust in the court system when the judge does not care.
