He’s worth a hire, and even worth a follow to another firm. ONDA is a better company for having him on the roster. 2 years of correspondence with him and my only regret is that I didn’t get to meet him and shake his hand. But even that is a testament to the convenience and ease ONDA provides.

First of all from the bottom of my heart I like to thank Matt tyson law firm the entire team for being with me the entire process of my case this has been a traumatic emotional roller coaster journey. Special mention to Josh who represents my case fought for everything that I wanted in my child custody case. It was a difficult battle in chambers county, the judge and amicus were against me having my children. They were more worried about the school system than in the safety of my children. Josh fought and never backed down, we won the case and now my children will be safe with me. She seemed very competent & compassionate at the consultation and we felt comfortable paying her large retainer for what promised to be a difficult divorce & custody case because she had us so convinced that she would work hard for positive outcomes. Well that didn’t last long and she dropped the ball on critical tasks, didn’t respond to communications, didn’t provide copies of arrangements she made with opposing counsel and left my niece and her children in a worse situation than when she was hired. We quickly vetted this attorney before hiring her and found positive reviews. However, after frustrated beyond belief and looking into her reputation further, we’ve found other clients who experienced the same unprofessionalism from her. Ms. Davalos is inept and lacks any professional courtesy. Unfortunately our family learned that the hard way.

Upon our initial meeting, he showed empathy and grit for me and my case. It was a grueling 3 years for the whole process and he always remained professional, helpful, knowledgable, and responsive. If it were possible, I would rate the Law Office of Lisa Richardson as 5-stars, times 10. I decided to change attorneys right when my divorce was entering mediation and final court date. Lisa's team was able to jump in quickly, correct course, grasp all the issues, negotiate on my behalf, prepare and file all the documents, and represent me properly. I was headed toward an 9-month-plus protracted divorce, for what was really a simple set of issues. After Lisa and Amanda took over, we were able to successfully mediate and complete the divorce within 2 months (5 months total). Furthermore, the difference maker for me was that Lisa and Amanda made time to stay in constant communication, answer my questions as we went along, and provide guidance on thorny topics (via remote meetings and email). Amanda and Lisa were very very responsive, and provided an exceptional level of service. Lastly, I will say that Lisa and Amanda were strong advocates for my interests and did not capitulate the slimy tactics of opposing counsel (stalling, short-circuiting the mediation, last-minute bombshells, all that crap). If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely THE problem when it comes to attorneys this day and age.(maybe it’s just with men). If you want a game where you're being strung along and billed forever playing the rollercoaster game with you and your children's life instead of evidence being presented in a costly/timely and empathetic manner THIS IS YOUR GUY. Mr. Bancroft, i just got off the phone with you where you hung up on me stating that I’m threatening you. Get over your ego and realize that your business as a practicing attourney needs realignment. I wrote you about a standing invoice you provided totaling to less than the amount that Ive paid to you months prior with no response. After speaking to your paralegal, then being transferred to your “billing dept.” and speaking to them I was provided with a newer invoice…..with newer charges, where whomever was working before had originally just simply “forgot to send me the invoice”….what a convenient coincidence. After speaking with her, I was transferred to you where I had a conversation with your ego. Well, from the little guy(s) down here Mr. Bancroft, do whats right and fabricating invoices to skip out on paying balances owed on any moneys paid to you for the services that you DID NOT PROVIDE are just not that. Client paid $1750 in retainer fees(half of your 3500 to get the case started) and had to chase said attourney down for enquiries with little to no communications outside of ones that were initiated by me/client, INCLUDING in person conversation with YOU where I unexpectedly paid a visit to your office in August after I could not successfully contact anyone and asked about a status of my case. You did not recall my case by name until we went to your office and you searched my name.(keep in mind, this is three months after contracting). Attourney invoicing per attourney-client portals all state work for balance of $753, with latest payment from client being $631 in October.(this never happened, only payment made was the initial one and didn't make another due to subpar and in my opinion MALPRACTICAL, I'm aware that isn't an official word, service). After a few months of calling and majorly being placed on hold, back and forth’s with promises of returned calls or motions with paralegals, multiples of them and finally being frustrated with the reality of paying an attourney and not being fought for……while fighting a vindictive situation with my children as a GREAT DAD I asked for an explanation stating that if I did not hear anything as ai had been I wanted to discontinue services and be refunded via message inside of the client portal, I THEN was given a response…..but not with accountability, not with a plan of action, not to communicate any valuable evidence or structured plan of action, but to speak downward of me on the “dismal” months of non-payment……….ultimately this attourney demanded I paid him his past due amount, in addition to totals for mediations that hadn't even been had yet to avoid him WITHDRAWING. Needless to say I attended the mediation PRO SE, paid the mediator directly. I’m now on maximum state mandated child support and standard visitation for the children I equally raised because the relationship did not work out with their mother…finally divorced none the less. All of the evidence in the world to fight that good fight never presented, never saw a represented court setting, money just wasted and thank GOD I demanded a standard or it could have been MUCH MUCH worse financially. Contracted with this attourney on 5/24/2024….attourney withdrew as of 11/5/2024, yet they have still attempted to withdraw payment from my bank as of latest, 12/19/2024…….this was my SECOND attourney over a course of what I recall as a 3 year nightmare……I can confidently say, this is whats wrong with the family law system! Will edit with photo documentation when I have time.

While I applaud Eric Willie's courageous call for a reform. We have been toggled between abusive, delayed processes without accountability or reasons by the Supreme Court of the United States when urgent signature has been reviewed and approved for by lower courts.
Let's hope the 5 is not a front-end rating but a sincere address to dangerous local threats in public at the border state. Organized assault and molestation called out. No one came close to scratching in my car. It remains a 4.5 until then, focusing on where crimes are lurking and stemming. There is no guarantee it will not happen at the same time.
Life is more than surface code compliance.
It is individual and civic responsibilities both in-office and in public to address systemic issues reasonably applying legal code passed, during and after a worldwide pandemic.

I recently went through a divorce after 14 years of marriage. Although it was painful, I initially let my ex-wife set the terms to expedite the process. However, we had disagreements on several key issues, leading to amendments after she filed.
One major point of contention was our house, which I was on track to pay off in 8 years. When I opposed selling it, I was offered a $50k buyout and given 10 days to move out. At this point, I sought legal counsel and found Newberry Law, PLLC through an internet search. I scheduled an appointment with Joe Newberry, who explained his strategy for my case. After two months of working with the opposing counsel, he recommended mediation as the most cost-effective option. Two months later, my divorce was finalized, and I was awarded the house with 90 days to buy out my ex-spouse at the agreed amount.
Unfortunately, the bank holding my mortgage denied my request for an equity loan twice. The original loan was for $180k in 2011, with an outstanding balance of $83k at the time of the divorce. I deal with lawyers across a fairly wide spectrum of practice areas and so far as I can tell, there are two types of lawyers: (1) good lawyers who aim to get to fair, peaceful resolutions as quickly as possible, and (2) a-holes.
Luckily I got to know Newberry Law pretty well over the 2+ years it took to settle my divorce, and I'll tell you Joe and his team are squarely entrenched as the first kind of lawyer.
It was by no means easy going through a particularly combative divorce but I always felt, though at times we had our disagreements, Joe's advice centered on my best interest - but more importantly - the best interest of my kids.
When the whole thing finally did come to a head, Joe and his team were ON POINT in the courtroom and, on more than one occasion, made the opposing counsel look amateurish and disheveled by comparison.
Newberry Law is a highly competent team who will help you navigate what is a particularly complex process and keep you pointed in the right direction while you reconcile this major life change. Joe and his team are the right people to align yourself with.

Jennifer Locke did the worst job representing me. There was very little communication with her during the process and when she did contact me she was yelling at me. She told me she couldn’t request items like split costs for extracurricular, life insurance, college funds, etc. She told me I couldn’t request to put in MSA yo have contact with grandparents after death. She pushed me to drop all 2 yrs of back pay and give in to extended visitation. And refused to fight for medical and psych custody, even though my ex hadn’t been in my kids lives for 2 years. It has been 2 years and I have learned from other attorneys what she did was so wrong. She just wanted the money with no work to represent me. She once put me on hold and didn’t realize I could hear her conversation with my ex’s lawyer and she was acting as if they were friends. I was told I would receive an official copy of my decree and I never received it. Only an email copy. Please please stay away.

I wish I could say nice and positive things about Ms.Locke and her paralegal Alisha. My whole experience was waiting for answers, direction and disappointment. Always conflicting and misleading information. I never felt secure in the information I was given and when meditation came it was more of a reunion and when time came to talk about my needs it was "standard" for mom and dad to have this and that rather than looking at the best interest of the child as they kept stating and his special needs. In the end I was not fully happy with what I got and felt as if I was more of a payment check for them and went to the next.
I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone to this law firm.
