Right before Thanksgiving 2020, I was charged with a DWI. Immediately, I sought out legal counsel and was told that John Haugen has a lot of experience with DWI cases. Not long after I got the process started, John gave the case over to his son, Conner Haugen. To be honest, I was uneasy when this happened just because I did not know Conner’s expertise level on handling these kinds of cases. Well to my surprise, working with him has been such a miracle. He has been extremely kind and patient with me in walking me through how the legal process works and I could not be more thankful to have him representing me. I was refrred to Ms. Bachman by my sister who used to work with her. I wasn't sure if I wanted to proceed with my divorce now but I wanted answers to many questions so that I could make an informed decision. I contacted Ms. Bachman and we made arrangements for a consulation. We spoke for quite a while. She was sympathetic and very kind during this trying time. She seemed very knowledgeable on the subject matter and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I have contacted Ms. Bachman several times since our initial meeting with addition questions. I hired Mr. Merritt to represent me in my divorce. As scary as a situation as divorce can be, Mr. Merritt was very knowledgeable and professional from the start. He patiently walked me through the process (multiple times) which can be very confusing to someone who isn't familiar with legal jargon. He fought tooth and nail for what I was entitled to and what was in the best interest of the child involved. Ironing out visitation rights was the scariest part of the process and Mr. Merritt made sure that his priority was the welfare of my child. I don’t know where to start!!! As a father, my dream is to raise my children and help them to be better than I am. After consulting with many other law firms Lisa was the ONLY attorney that gave me the piece of mind that she would go full throttle in my defense. After getting not possession at all, thinking of the worse outcome possible for my daughter and me I went from no possession at all to the unexpected; I got half the time and child support. This attorney is a wonderful human being, very professional, efficient, smart and fair. For my own experience I can tell you that this woman is so great at what she does that she can achieve the impossible. Thanks to Lisa Adams the life of my daughter and my own can be better than what I thought it was going to be and my child can have her mother in her life and have a much better life than what at times I feared she was going to have (perhaps not being able to see her mother or see her every other weekend). This attorney's rates are affordable and fair and she is definitely worth every penny. I had a very mind boggling to most lawyers case. I have special needs kids and he was able to walk me through this process with compassion and understanding! Not only did he save my children from more trauma by getting me as the 100% conservator, He did things that still have me in awe with his brilliance to educate the judge on the situation. I had fought that battle on my own and was losing to an man who had felony child abandonment charges on the kids this judge was ordering visitation to! I have hired Tess Dunn — associate attorney — at this law practice and she is truly a breath of fresh air. I’m going through a very high-conflict and complex divorce with a child, property and businesses. I have had mixed experiences with my previous attorney, and felt that we were merely being reactive, and that the majority of our interactions with the opposing party were contentious.

Mr. Levinson assisted with my divorce. Until it happens to you, you do not realize what an emotional and very hard process it is to go through a divorce. It's huge. I came to Debby with a mound of mistakes through my divorce. She had to undo so many of my mishaps and explained everything in plain English. She let me know all my options, both good and bad, and all she asked of me was to be prepared.
The preparation before trial made me feel confident (although horribly nervous and scared) and I was able to answer the cross examanitation without any surprises at all.

Absolutely, hands down, the best family lawyer in Austin. Jonathan is passionate yet level-headed, respectful yet brutally capable, and posesses honesty and virtue that demands no second guessing. Words cannot convey the appreciation I have for Travis, Christi and Ruth. Their hard work allowed me, a single father to win custody of my daughter. As any father in this position knows it's an uphill battle trying to gain custody of your child as you feel like you have no rights. Originally I started out with one of the well known, nationally advertised "Father Rights" law firms. Within a few months I began to feel like I was getting a cookie cutter service, as if they were handling my case according to a rule book. Once I was awarded a court date, I began to look for a new lawyer before the "Father Rights" firm became too involved in my case making it both expensive and difficult to start over with a new firm.
