Thankfully I have not needed the services of Millar Legal personally, but I know two others that have. The theme always seems to be that Aaron is a highly skilled attorney, without question, but the difference for them was how personable and compassionate Aaron was during an (obviously) stressful and emotional time. I personally know Aaron through other professional channels and can attest to the fact that he genuinely cares for people, beyond just the courtroom. The other great reviews and testimonials all ring true. Easy call to make.

I began the divorce process in October of 2021. At the time, I had different counsel. Nearly a year into the saga, I was referred to Aaron through another family law attorney. Once I hired Aaron, I knew I had the right attorney.
My case was very high conflict. Aaron would ask my thoughts and ideas on the best way to navigate all the roadblocks that were thrown our way. Aaron was always calm. He was a voice of reason. He would ask questions to ensure he understood what I needed. Aaron did not always agree with me. When we didn’t agree, he explained his position and the most likely outcome. He was quick to return emails or phone calls. I could count on a response within 24-48 hours.
My case ultimately ended up at trial. I appreciated Aaron’s honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. He was very thoughtful with all of the motions and exhibits he presented to the Court, as he understood the Court does not have a lot of time to spend on each case. At trial, Aaron was able to take hundreds of pages of information and display them on a spreadsheet that was easy for everyone, including the judge, to understand. During the first day of trial, the Judge held up Aaron’s spreadsheet specific to alimony. It detailed previous martial expenses, current expenses and predicted expenses. The Judge shook it above his head while exclaiming that is how it should be done! While making his ruling, the Judge once again commented how helpful Aaron’s presentation was in determining alimony. Aaron was always in control: control of himself, control of the room, control of the issues, control of the evidence.
Aaron was able to get me full physical and legal custody of my 16 year old, he successfully negotiated that she determine parent time and secured more alimony than I ever wanted or expected.
Aaron and I made a great team. Normally I would approach Aaron with a solution to the latest problem. Aaron was always open to my ideas; he wasn’t threatened by my involvement. I had some ideas that were unconventional but checked off all of the boxes when it came to the law. Aaron was willing to advocate for me even though he didn’t know what the outcome would be. Aaron was very methodical. He was not ego driven. Aaron did what was best for his client, not what was the easiest or most popular. Whether he agreed with me or not, Aaron would always hear me out. My prior counsel dismissed me even when I had what ultimately became the winning strategy.
I will always recommend Millar Legal to anyone that finds themself needing legal representation, specifically in a high conflict divorce case.

Mr. Millar was a wonderful attorney to work with. Throughout the entire process, from the date I first reached out for a consult, up until the end of mediation, he was honest with me about my options and helped guide me toward the best possible outcome based on my needs. Laura has been my attorney for a decade now. She is the reason I have faith in attorneys at all. She has always been great in court, very smart especially with confusing finances, and super kind even donating clothes to my children in the past. The staff is always great and feel like old friends at this point. I would recommend them 100%.

She's an amazing salesperson, but from what I can tell, an average lawyer. Charging $450/hr is obviously a supply and demand issue, which is a product of her salesperson-ship, and having more clientele than time available to help them. Even her paralegal, who handles most paperwork, makes more than 95% of all doctors. No lawyer can make everything happen, but I suspect most lawyers can accomplish the same outcomes for much less.

Divorce is always messy and emotional. My ex took me back to court only 6 months after it was final. I knew this was never going to end. I did my research in trying to find a true litigator that could fiercely represent me all the way to the end. Nonie has stellar experience litigating in front of a judge. An actual Family Law litigator is hard to find. After she looked at my files, when I had my consult with her she pointed out several things that could have been done differently. For the first time in months I felt at ease because Nonie clearly had a strategy that could end this. She’s personable, listens intently, and resolute in how things should go. My only regret is that I didn’t find her for my initial divorce. I would be in a completely different situation now.
After my initial consult with Nonie I was paired up with Sharnea, her paralegal, and Amber, another attorney with the firm. Sharnea is by far the most knowledgeable paralegal I’ve ever worked with. She was very clear in explanations of family law and how it pertained to me. Sharnae was always available when I needed her! I really appreciated working with her.
Not only did I feel I had the best team fighting for me they were also my biggest advocates in helping me through the entire rollercoaster. My case is resolved and I can finally move on with my life.
I honestly hope I don’t need an attorney again from this past marriage, but if I do I will contact Nonie without question! She is the only atty I would consider.

I highly recommend Tess Davis . When I went through my divorce I was completely lost and scared . I didn’t even know where to start or how protect myself through the process. Tess took my case and walked me through the entire process step by step . It wasn’t an easy divorce but Tess was amazing with her knowledge of the law and explained everything to me as we progressed.. I found Nicholas on a site while I was in a highly abusive relationship.
My writing to him was a reach out to someone that might listen and care. Nicholas reached out to me.
It took me several years to be brave enough to hire him as my attorney.

I was a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident. Although the driver was caught, Utah's no-fault law meant I had to cover all my medical bills. Hospitals will treat you, but they only bill your own medical insurance (if you have it) and won’t use the perpetrator’s insurance information, even if you obtain it later.
In my case, my bills exceeded $70,000, but the driver’s insurance only covered $50,000. Without legal representation, you’re responsible for any medical costs that surpass your own coverage and the perpetrator's insurance limits. This is why having an attorney is crucial. Will Andrews was key in negotiating my bills, reducing the excess I owed, and ensuring I received some compensation. It’s a challenging process, especially when the perpetrator has limited coverage, but Will did a fantastic job. He also took the time to clearly explain everything from the start, which I greatly appreciated.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, here’s my advice:
--Log into your patient portal as soon as possible, retrieve all billing and medical records, and send them to Will right away.
--It can take 1-2 months for all bills to appear, so keep checking and provide updates. Always send documents in PDF format and keep copies for your records.
The process is slow—it took over a year for my case to resolve—not because of Will but due to delays from insurance companies and their frequent staff turnover. Will, however, was consistently attentive, asking how I and my family were doing before providing updates.
For example, the Attorney General requested my medical records for the criminal case against the perpetrator. Despite my requesting them promptly, it took nine months for the hospital to send the records in a sealed envelope. By then, Will had already negotiated a settlement with my medical insurance using the information I’d sent him from my patient portal.
Thanks to Will’s diligence and expertise, I received more than I expected. I highly recommend him for his experience, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients.

I contacted Danielle after trying to navigate the divorce process on my own. My ex-wife and I were in agreement on most items through the divorce but I was still having trouble navigating the process through the state. Spencer and Liz (paralegal) are a fantastic team. I'm understating their importance to each other. I'm a firm believer they compliment each other very well.
Spencer was hired as a guardian ad litem. The recommendation came from the attorney of my son's mother to use him to represent my son. So I owe him a huge thank you. For those who may be unfamiliar, the purpose of a guardian ad litem is to represent the minor's best interest. Spencer was detailed and thorough. He met with my son on multiple occasions. He spoke with additional professionals who offered perspective. A recommendation wasn't rendered until Spencer felt he had as many answers to the questions as he needed before making a decision. I'm grateful and appreciative he choose to be thorough and exhaustive in the process.
Fast forward to the final result, my son is now in my custody.

Spencer came to us early in his career. Not only did he impress us with his straight-forward honesty as to the outcomes, he has a kind demeanor and you know he really cares about the law and what is right.
I do know him outside the courtroom, but that is the reason I had him by our side when our family needed a lawyer.
Unfortunately this is one service that excellence is something you never have to use again. This is our case.
Many years later and we are back in court with Mr. Ricks defending our side. No matter the outcome, we know he did his job more than any lawyer we've ever had; and we've had a few.

If I could give Matt 10 stars, I would. We have a Washington case that was transferred to Utah and after a lot of searching for a good attorney, stumbled upon Matt, who previously practiced in WA before moving to Utah. This man is worth every penny and then some. He is professional while also being realistic and keeping humor involved. He has never given us expectations of something that didn't happen. He has fought for us and gotten results in record time that we weren't able to get with previous attorneys. Matt has gotten more results in 1.5 years than we previously managed to get in almost 10 years. He is logical, efficient and has a keen eye for detail. I work in the legal field in WA, but once it was transferred we had to find a Utah attorney so I'm extremely picky and have pretty high standards. Honestly, if you don't hire him it's your loss, and if your ex hires him you're probably screwed. He's that good.

What a terrible experience. Lower retainer fee, but the hourly fee is $400. I got charged for verifying emails were received, for checking up on my slacker attorney, I got billed for time taken when I visited the office to pay in person. I got charged for more administrative garbage than actual case work. This is an absolute money grab while my attorney basically laid down and took a beating any time I needed her. When custody is at risk, a lazy dishonest attorney is the WORST team mate to have. I absolutely regret any and all involvement I had with KKG.
After getting the shaft for 6 months, getting charged at every turn, I fired my attorney and hired one from a different firm - that was the best decision I could have made.

What a terrible experience. Lower retainer fee, but the hourly fee is $400. I got charged for verifying emails were received, for checking up on my slacker attorney, I got billed for time taken when I visited the office to pay in person. I got charged for more administrative garbage than actual case work. This is an absolute money grab while my attorney basically laid down and took a beating any time I needed her. When custody is at risk, a lazy dishonest attorney is the WORST team mate to have. I absolutely regret any and all involvement I had with KKG.
After getting the shaft for 6 months, getting charged at every turn, I fired my attorney and hired one from a different firm - that was the best decision I could have made.

Mr. Voss is by fair an amazing attorney. He takes the time to a actually hear your concerns without interrupting you, which is very uncommon in these kind of situations. I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

Face it, no one “wins” in divorce; however my experience with Ms. Card is as close as it will come.
Ms. Card and Ron Wilkinson worked on my case as a team and their expertise introduced solutions for the long term emotional, financial and physical security of the children and I that I never would have thought of. I “lost” by the things I had on my agenda; however I was too emotionally raw and inexperienced to see the bigger picture.
Ms. Card invested numerous hours truly working to understand all the components of the case, pouring over emails and texts between the children, my ex and I. That devotion made all the difference as we faced opposing counsel. Accusations were quickly retracted as she had documentation and a working knowledge of each child's perspective. She also went "above and beyond" by even answering the smallest of concerns in my emailed questions with an almost immediate response.
Words of advice, gather all your documentation, communicate with your ex through email and text, document every interaction, be clear and concise with “just the facts” and send that to Ms. Card at least once a month. You clearly communicating with her will go a long way in how much she can help you.
My case was responding to a petition my ex filed to modify our divorce agreement. I wish I had Ms. Card and Mr. Wilkinson by my side during the original divorce, not only would my ex not have been able to do that (Mr. Wilkinson and Ms. Card added to the modification that all future disagreements must go through mediation before anything can be filed against the other party), I believe I would have had a much healthier arrangement then what I agreed to in the original divorce.
Though my ex filed the petition to modify, I came out of it with the modified divorce agreement being a better solution for ME. Marianne Card is worth every penny and I couldn’t recommend her more
