I found Melissa through several reviews online. I was in need of a prenup which was originally from my fiancé’s attorney and she was able to walk me through and make the much needed suggestions. She was always available to either speak on the phone and very quick to respond on email. I felt she was empathetic as well as knowledgeable and professional. We were able to come to an agreement for the prenup in a short time and she was reasonable and her rates. I also appreciated her patience concerning my lack of knowledge in this area. God for bid that I’d have to execute down the road, but if I do, I would hire Melissa to represent me.

Mellissa D. Strickland, not only protected me but got me twice as much money as I had hoped for. She was always calming and voice of reason for me.

Melissa is the most passionate, caring attorney I know and I come from a family full of them. In a situation that is stressful and upsetting she is such a bright light to guide you through it. She takes the time to know you and will go above and beyond to help you. Even after she was no longer my attorney she would still call to check on my daughter and I. His paralegal Emily that helps with the initial interview is the sweetest, compassionate person to talk with and allows you all the time you need to talk.
Attorney Church has a great knowledge of the law, he invest a lot of time in his cases, explains everything to your level, always responds to your questions/concerns. As a family member, I feel he went beyond what most lawyers would do. The family is very involved in the clients case and they have questions too that he always is willing to take time to answer. Attorney Church was very compassionate and encouraging when we felt at the bottom and always respond to us also. I divorced 13 years ago and made the mistake of not requiring my ex-husband to refinance our mortgages. For the last 6 years, my ex consistently missed mortgage payments which destroyed my credit. Every attorney I spoke to about my situation said that I didn't have a case. Then I met Thad. My ex was forced to sell his house. Thankfully he sold it when he did because he hadn't made a payment in over 6 months and the house was in pre-foreclosure. Now I'm finally off of the mortgages after 13 years. I'm in control of my credit and can finally move on.

I cannot begin to say enough great things about Margaret. I had a gut feeling about her and my gut did not steer me wrong. I am beyond thankful that she took on my case. No separation is easy, especially when it involves children. I was dealing with threats, verbal abuse, harassment, bullying, etc. I explained to Margaret what she would be in for and what we would be up against and she did not bat an eye. She was always very supportive and reassuring and all around a pleasure to work with. Emily (aka "Sandy") Bair is a woman of immense intellect, with the determination to do her best for her client. She is a woman of few words, but every word she speaks counts. She will never ramble on either in her office or in court. Judges respect that. Her preparation is meticulous. She will cut you off if you rattle on, to remind you that you are paying her to hear you vent, and that there are cheaper people to vent to.
My case had been going on for seven years when she took it over. I had just been through a hearing using another attorney. Having already been found in contempt, I hired Sandy Bair who appealed part of the court order and convinced the court to reduce my penalties as the action giving rise to the contempt had been performed by me immediately following and in accord with the specific and express legal advice of my former attorney.
Ms. Bair is now handling my QDRO/pension problems as my divorce was in 2004 and I still have not received the pension benefits I was awarded in the divorce. QDRO's are a very specific part of the law that is very complicated. She has done much legal research in that area and is very well-versed in the particulars of QDROs.
If you are looking for sweet and chatty, don't hire Sandy. If you are looking for an intelligent, experienced, straight-talking, hard-working, honest lawyer who can cut through legal BS- she is all that. I also think she is a female lawyer that men would be comfortable hiring.

Ms. Bair handled a very contentious divorce case and subsequent alimony modification action for me. My ex-wife tried hard to litigate numerous extraneous issues, engage in abusive discovery and take unnecessary depositions. I am an attorney myself, and she worked to avoid inflaming a hostile plaintiff and move the case to a settlement. She is known for those skills.

My lawyer was first rate. She help me put a stop to a lot of the little game my ex was playing. She fought hard and embarrassed my ex and her lawyer. Make my ex admit that i wasnt fighting for revenge but the right to see my daughter. Using they other lawyers claims and evdince against them. Needless to say i still had a field day not bc i watch my ex stuggle... Ok maybe a little bit; yet it was mostly the way my lawyer handle the case. She never let the ball drop while in court or helping me.

I consulted with Ms. Sadler regarding a commercial lease that I needed help negotiating. She went over the lease with me and pointed out areas that had I signed the lease would have been a very bad mistake for my company. She negotiated on my behalf and edited the lease to make the terms for fair. Ms. Sadler was available and her fees were very reasonable. She was willing to work within our budget.

Jill and her team are very good at what they do. I went through a divorce from multiple states away never stepping foot in GA. Everything was completed in a very timely fashion and Jill was there every step of the way. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process even though we only communicated via email and phone calls. I would recommend Jill and her team you anyone. Even after everything was completed Jill still answers the occasional question in a very timely manner even though she doesnt have to. Thank you so very much Jill as well as to your team. Barry was referenced to me for his legal knowledge and temperament. He was my second lawyer (make a change if it does not feel like your lawyer is on your team!) for divorce and was the perfect fit, as it is important for there to be a good level of understanding. This person is critical to your life and future lives of your children, post-divorce.
Barry listened to my endless jabbering, but at a point he educated me on what was critical and what was a complete waste of time. He was so right on many occasions, it was not even funny. In mediation, he even called what would be happening before it happened VERBATIM!!! Listen to this advisor - he is the real deal and he gives a sh-- about his clients. Don't waste time on crap he says is a waste of time (and often money). Relax a bit - I know it is hard to believe for some, like me.
Reasonably available during the paperwork process, but 100% available when it really matters (when the iron was hot).
Good man and lawyer. I recommend highly.

Richard Farnsworth is the sole reason I have my kids back in my life.
There are certain keywords a mother can utter in regards to a father in a separation that will make the legal system act in a manner that is "protective" to the child but only if the father is totally dismissed as the stereotypical caricature.
Richard was able to first expose the false accusations for what they were and get them dismissed. he worked in the best interest of my children and was able to get a fair custody split that ensures the children know the love of both parents and allows them to prosper as individuals instead of trophies in a financial dispute.

I’m Kai... This Review is about Michael Schlifka and Lisa Jackson, both who ended up being heaven sent angels in my life! Michael and Lisa are two of the most supportive, heart felt, hard working, determined, people I’ve ever met.. Im blessed Michael was my divorce attorney, and that Lisa was the paralegal over my divorce case.. They were an AWESOME team over my case, my divorce was everything BUT pretty. My ex wife and I have 2 kids together, my ex demanded the divorce but was being very difficult with the kids. It had even got to the point where I was set up by my ex, and my character was assassinated by my ex. To try to obtain full custody of the kids.
Through it ALL Michael stayed by my side, and fought for me and my kids diligently and affectively. Michaels sense of compassion but ability to be firm when need be is on point! Michael really knows his stuff, and fought for me tooth and nail! He did not give up on me or my case, he showed up to every court date, every hearing, and fought so hard for me. Sometimes I sit back, and thank god for bringing Michael and Lisa into my life. And putting Michael as my attorney over my divorce.. When I began my divorce, I knew nothing about divorce. Was highly hurt and emotional. Heartbroken is an understatement..
I googled divorce attorneys, not knowing where to start. I came across Meriwether and Tharpe, got put in touch with Michael Schlifka. And the rest is history.. Michael was kind and compassionate about my terrible situation. My divorce was very unpleasant. He worked with me (and my ex-husband) to get to a very specific parenting plan and next 8 or 9 years plan. We agreed to co-parent 50/50 and maintain the "homestead" 50/50 until the last child graduates but MAN it was hard to get to that point. All the anger - he worked with me and often times I took out my anger on he and his team of paralegals (who were all wonderful!). He never had any anger back, mostly just some humor. He understood me. He took time to understand the unreasonable situation I was in and worked hard to get a great settlement. We didn't even have to go to court! Thanks so much Michael Schlifka!

I have had the fortunate and unfortunate pleasure of working with SWTW, and more specifically Andrea Pawlak and Kevin Ward, both of which I can not speak highly enough about. I have been through the worst of life experiences and can honestly say that without their friendship and guidance I would be in a much different position. Andrea is by far the most prepared, educated, dedicated and passionate attorney that I have been exposed to. The single greatest attribute that stands above the rest is her ability to manage a client through what is seemingly their worst moments in life such as a child's death and/or a contentious divorce. Andrea brings a level of personal connection to the engagement and truly cares about the well being of her clients, not just the outcome! She knows the case inside and out and is so well prepared to provide her clients with the necessary information to make educated decisions. Tired of her unethical actions towards, a loved ones case in Cobb county, as a public defender. I have been dealing with this lawyer for over a year and she has visited my family member 1 time and knows nothing about his cases. I call for updates she has hung up on me or more than 2 occasions. Everyone deserves her to handle their cases for the best possible outcome per the state bar. This lawyer is also on social media making videos,when she could be studying my family members case. Less than 1 star and will be taking this review further until justice is served according to the codes of conduct as an attorney in the state of GA

This has been a road with this lawyer as I would give her less than 1 star if I could because of the way she has treated my family member in their court case in Cobb county. Instead of admitting she knows nothing about his cases (felony) & her YSL case is her priority she denies and lies as if she has visited when it is documented that she has not but once. Every case she takes or is assigned to, deserve a fair chance of representation & the oath states that she is supposed to “adhere to all articles of conduct while working tirelessly for the best possible outcome.” When I call to ask about updates she is rude. A life should be her concern paid or not! I will be complaining to state bar as this matter has been ongoing with her for over 1 year with her unprofessional manner.
