Balean and Kristy kept me sane during the hardest year of my life and I am forever grateful.
I was too nervous to reach out to a divorce lawyer even though it was well past time, so a friend of mine who is a lawyer in another area talked me into it and recommended these two personally. I can't say enough good things so I'll try and break it down into the things that are/were important to me in a divorce.
They are NOT pushy. I was so nervous the first call, I did not want to get a divorce. I even (politely) told them I hope we don't ever need to talk again. They were extremely supportive. Not one single time did either of them push me towards a divorce. They answered all my questions honestly and thoughtfully and I never felt rushed.
On the flip side of that, they are also very cognizant that their time is expensive. So for me, it is very hard to find a lawyer who is constantly aware of running up your tab, but personable enough to trust them and not feel like just another check in the spreadsheet. On top of that, I have ADHD so I can get off on a tangent with the best of them. Both Kristy and Balean we're very good at redirecting me into the areas that mattered and pushing me though the areas that didn't without letting me get hung up on them.
They are extremely prompt (during business hours, I cant speak to otherwise because I don't expect people to work 24/7), I don't think I ever waited a full day for a reply. You WILL feel like a priority. Which frankly with how being a lawyer works, is pretty remarkable.
They know their stuff. I don't know a better way to put that. And if they don't know, they make it a priority to find out. I had a few odd snafus with property issues and a few (lets say less than reasonable) demands from my now ex, and if I had a question they tracked it down if they weren't already sure.
They are generally fun and calming presences. Mediation went for a full day, so Balean was trapped in a room with me for probably 12 straight hours. And if you aren't aware (i certainly wasn't), mediation is very much hurry up and wait. When we had the mediator, it was 100% business. When she was in the other room, we walked through everything we needed to discuss, got advice, and then were able to relax and recharge a bit before the next turn. As you can imagine, its an emotional time. I went from needing to pace the hallways angry to bouncing off the walls bored to everything in between and not once did Balean get even slightly irritated with me. They are VERY aware that you're going though something and that while we need to be efficient there also needs to be room for you to be a person with feelings and needs.
So if you don't read all of that, the important bits are they are going to make you a priority and you'll feel like it, they will not run up your bill for no reason and will be honest when they think something may do so, they give you grace to be going though something hard, while also getting you though it in a prompt and efficient and competent manner. I absolutely would not even consider another legal team if these guys are available. I can't speak highly enough of this firm.

Family law is messy, emotional and the stakes are high. My divorce was fairly atypical. Steven and I were living in different time zones and there were many unique issues and difficulties to be addressed. I am relieved I found Steve Kirson to help me regarding a prenuptial agreement crafted with a clause that would have harmed me greatly in the long run. Steve represents hall of fame athletes, but he never treated my case as less important than those of his famous clients. He is knowledgeable and strategic -- right away, he assessed the facts of my case, he worked with me to develop a case strategy, and then he executed upon it with precision and efficiency. While not inexpensive, Steve's fees were reasonable for the high quality and meaningful work that was performed. In addition to legal skill, I really like Steve. He's tough, but also a good person. He truly listened to me, was sensitive to my concerns, I always felt comfortable discussing personal matters with him, and I never doubted for one minute that he wasn't fully committed to and capable of reaching the best possible outcome for me (which he did).

I called in about four to five weeks ago and spoke with a Cassandra in reference to the loss of function in my great toe due to a doctors negligence. Cassandra laughed at me when I explained to her my situation, Cassandra also explained to me that it’s “all about money” when it comes to the business. A few days after I posted my review on Google Mr.Malone reached out to me condemning her actions and explaining to me how it works, and essentially it is about the money because it can cost almost 500k to get your case started. After talking with him I removed my review from google because he seemed sincere. However I just want someone to understand for me it’s the principle and not about the money. I sent all my records over to Mr.Malone around 06/04/2024 and sent an email on 06/22/2024 for an update. Mr.Malone informed me that he would look over my files and get back with me in about a week and if he couldnt help he would refer me to someone who possibly would be able to. I have not heard back, and I’m done, basically if you didn’t lose a limb your case will not be taken seriously and the doctor can do anything to you with no consequences. It’s really sad that everytime I’ve needed a workplace enviorment lawyer or a negligence lawyer this is the energy I have gotten. If you only signed up for the more lucrative cases you’re already doing it wrong. I’m just going to leave this firm to itself. I am leaving my review up and cutting contact. Hopefully I can find someone who is willing to do it for the right reasons. This has been very traumatic for me and I just want someone that is doing it for the right reasons.

I hired Harmon subsequent to my father and half siblings handing me a blank unsigned piece of paper that was purportedly my mother's Will. Harmon failed to take any court action when I asked to in my favor and failed to tell me the proper actions etc. to initiate my deceased mother's intentions. I lost big because of Harmon and have zero respect for this man. All Harmon did was send me bills till I could not take it any further. I received no share of multiple properties my mother had promised me my entire life. My situation with Harmon could not have been any worse. I was being bullied by a lawyer who handled my divorce. He gave up on my case when my money ran out and I lost everything that was important to me (my children). He didn't want a payment plan, just money or nothing. Fast forward three years and I start receiving emails stating i still owe $3000. I kept asking for them to send me an invoice of my bill or something proving that I owed more money. I was harassed by these emails for months and they weighed heavily on me. I reached out on the next door app to get advice from any of my neighbors who had been through a similar situation. Mr. Halberg contacted me and gave me his contact info. After giving him all the details, he handled the situation in a very professional and cordial manner and I haven't heard from the bully lawyer since. Mr. Halberg charged me absolutely nothing to help me out and i am eternally grateful. He is a really good man and a really good human.

I recommend that everyone avoid this attorney at all costs as I believe his performance to be terrible. I initially hired Blake Halberg in 09/16 to modify my divorce decree with the primary goal of downward modification or elimination of alimony and several other modifications such as a more amicable split in transportation of my son between me and my ex-wife. During our initial consultation and Blake Halberg's review of my divorce decree I was assured this would be no problem and very easy to accomplish my stated goals. Upon filing the appropriate paperwork with the court and communicating with opposing counsel I was advised by Blake Halberg in 04/17 that the "lump sum" type of alimony awarded to my ex-wife is non-modifiable under Georgia law. This key fact was never communicated to me at any time by Blake Halberg and I now I have absolutely nothing to show for the $6,000.00 paid to attorney Blake Halberg for his services in addition to $2200.00 more I have been billed but am refusing to pay. Upon learning of his failure to achieve my stated goals I immediately terminated attorney Blake Halberg and have retained a different attorney which has only just now been resolved in April of 2018.

This attorney, took $4900 from me to do nothing but cost me my sons paternity time to be thwarted by not giving me notice that I had a child custody hearing. She was unprepared in a TPO order prior and would not assert herself to a lying & vindictive wife. Today I’m having to get another attorney to clean up her mess. She dismissed herself from my case without advising me of my child custody case court date. As a result I haven’t seen my son in almost 8 months. Now I have to fork out another $2500.00 for another attorney. Thanks Joyce for a splendid job that you managed to foul up. GREAT JOB!

Joy is amazing. She always listened to me to understand what my needs were and she did a superior job executing my request. Although I just met Joy, she managed my case like she was a close family friend who sincerely had my best interest at heart. During the trial she was not thrown off by the other party's spontaneous attempts to sneak in invalid information. She even fought for me all the way to the end when the Judge was giving the decision; she recommended an alternate proposal which would benefit me and the Judge accepted. I am so glad she knew what she was doing. From the first conversation with Joy I felt confident in her ability to handle my case and from the day I hired her I never worried again about my case. I would highly recommend Joy and she will handle all of my family matters.

Waste of money for an unprofessional attorney. She gets an attitude with you if she actually has to speak with you about anything and accomplishes nothing. She was nice at first, until she got the money and then she changed.
Don’t waste your money. Pick another attorney. Maybe one that will care about your case instead of simply getting paid.

I am compelled to preface this review, as it lends high credibility to Paige Jennings. I am definitely a senior citizen. Over the last 50 years I have been married 3 times, and divorced 3 times. I have had three different divorce attorneys, Paige being my most recent. My first divorce was highly emotionally charged and contested. That attorney thought it would be great for me to take the case before a jury ( lots more money for him). Obviously, I was not very happy with his perspective. My second divorce was not contested and I got a bargain basement fee on a rough draft insisting that I retain ownership of a 1989 Ford station wagon that belonged to neither me or my wife. Paige Jennings represented me with my most current divorce. My experiences in the past confirms that she is a saint and down to earth hero. This review is based on multiple divorce experiences with attorneys. Paige is at the top of the list!
Paige Norwood Jennings can be incredibly compassionate, she understands you, but will quickly boil a situation down to the sometimes hard to take honest truth. She will give you down to earth advice and support. You feel like you have gained a good friend. She is aggressive, when she asks you to make a decision, she wants it "NOW", does not favor " LET ME THINK ABOUT IT FOR A WHILE". Her approach has a definite advantage to it. Things happen fast.
Paige works for you behind the scenes. She knows that you are much more capable of gathering and analysing the background information regarding your case than she could ever be. Her job is to use what you give her to your best advantage. And she's very good at putting it all together for a great defense.
On the routine questions, she may appear to be hard to get ahold of. But rest assured, when you really need to talk, she's there 24/7. I believed in her, she never let me down.
Amazing! I took a highly contested divorce to her. She mediated an uncontested divorce beyond my most hopeful expectations. All in just 8 weeks!
Retain her services, you won't be sorry.

It became evident from the outset that this lawyer's primary concern was money, not the well-being of their clients. Throughout the entire process, I felt like I was just another source of income rather than a person in need of assistance.
Not only was the communication lacking, but it seemed that every decision made was based on what would bring in the most profit for the lawyer, rather than what was best for me as the client. There was a distinct lack of empathy and understanding of my situation, and it was clear that their only motivation was to maximize their fees. The young girl that runs the front desk is very sweet but extremely inexperienced. If you’re a firm representing high conflict cases , you need someone at the front just as knowledgeable and ORGANIZED.
In court, their lackluster performance was evident. It was apparent that they had not put in the effort to adequately represent me, and it felt like they were more interested in rushing through the proceedings to move on to the next paying client. Their lack of dedication and genuine interest in my case was truly disheartening.
I strongly advise anyone in need of legal assistance to steer clear of this firm. Their focus on financial gain over the well-being of their clients is unacceptable and reflects a severe lack of professional ethics.

She will take your money then have the audacity to come after you seven months later since her clientele is poor, making up fake deductions, requesting for you to pay her more. After she failed to represent you. I sat on my computer for two hours, uploading pictures of my child, and she didn’t use one. The other party provided pictures since she failed to provide all the documentation I provided I had the judge a Fulton in County viewing my Instagram story days after the hearing due to her negligence.
I honestly don’t see how she has not been sued for malpractice.
Her husband is a judge in cobb county and uses her husbands title to gain clientele. An attorney’s duty is to use such skill, prudence, and diligence as lawyers of ordinary skill and capacity commonly possess and exercise in the performance of tasks which they undertake…. An attorney is not bound to extraordinary diligence. He / She is bound to reasonable skill and diligence, and the skill has reference to the character of the business he undertakes to do.
She threw my case together the day before my hearing also told me I was gonna lose custody the day before aka “preparing me”
failed to have the knowledge of certain things she should have she willingly allow me to walk into court knowing I was going to lose custody of my child to gain some money: the loss was the result of this lawyer’s action or inaction.
I do not recommend using her as a lawyer ,if you go to search for Google reviews, nothing comes up except for this platform with only three reviews. This whole law firm is extremely narcissistic. Her assistant was extremely rude as well. They act like they’re sh*t doesn’t stink and don’t know what they’re doing.. but are quick to tell you what you want to hear to get your money. I’m convinced majority of these reviews are fake.
The binder documentation she had was a bunch of nonsense of repeat copies

Katie K Leonard represented me when my pilot- husband abandoned our family. She is exceptional on every level. She does not waste your money, is a straight shooter, and she will fight for your rights if you have been mistreated. I frequently say that her closing arguments on my case should have been recorded to use as teaching material in law schools. Compared to my ex-husband's attorney, she hit it out of the ballpark. She was prepared, detailed, specific, and extremely tough. She didn't waste time with irrelevant questions and she clearly "knew her stuff." After a social worker friend referred me, I retained Howard Gold for my divorce and custody dispute.
