On January 27, 2023, I was involved in a car accident with a semi-trailer truck on IH-35 Northbound between Austin and Pflugerville. I sustained multiple injuries, including neck, lower back, knee, and head injuries.
After consulting many law firms in the Austin area, I hired FVF Law to represent me throughout the process. Hope Guardia was assigned to my case, and from day one, she was excellent. I explained my side of the story to her, and she told me that she believed I had a case. She immediately started gathering all the evidence about the accident and started handling the negotiations and claim process with the insurance company.
I was informed every step of the way. Hope would email or call me every time she communicated with the opposing council, and she would also follow up with me after every doctor’s appointment to check on me. She was caring and valued my case.
Hope Guardia and Mark Farris were knowledgeable and had much experience in accident law and settlement procedures.
The case took over 21 months before the settlement was reached because the insurance company was dragging the case. The opposing council kept rejecting every demand that was made by my lawyer until Mark Farris came on board to assist Hope with the case. Mark pushed the insurance company to settle the case or go to court. The first time I spoke to Mark, he assured me that he was going to be very aggressive with the opposing council, and he kept his word. Because of my injuries and all my medical bills, he insisted that the insurance company pay the full policy. Moreover, we ended up going to mediation, and the final settlement amount was very close to our demand. I think the settlement was fair given the circumstances.
All my medical bills have been paid, and I have put some money aside for future medical bills as well.
I hope what happened to me that day will never happen again to me or any of my family members. However, if I ever need an injury lawyer, I will definitely hire FVF Law Firm, especially Hope Guardia and Mark Farris. These two lawyers made me feel like a family member. For that, I am grateful for what an excellent job they did. Thank you, Hope, Mark, and FVF Law, for everything you did to help me get the best settlement in my case. Y’all are forever my lawyers!

Very poor customer service and coordination I was threatened by Rupa Ramp that if we didn’t agree to meet at a location I wanted to pick which is close to my work in certain minutes time frame to respond that they won’t meet or change location although we had enough time to coordinate, zero coordinating or meeting half way!!

From getting information incorrect on court documents, to being late to my remediation, this firm has not only dropped the ball on numerous occasions, but they market themselves as "top tier" legal firm and charge higher rates than competitors.
They have billed me when I wasn't able to contact their billing person and had to ask her to contact me (unethical tactics), and yes they have corrected it when I brought it to their attention, but the fact that they thought it was fair to charge for it in the first place, is eye opening.
They (Hembree Firm) have failed to send me important court documents that were essential to my defense, and at times, the paralegal completely forgot to pass important notes to my main lawyer. When I brought this to the attention of my lawyer, she said that I should take notes and forward them to her after speaking with the paralegal. So, with this firm, you have to double check what they do and help them connect the dots?
After my divorce was "finalized", my ex sent Hembree Law a child support check for me, and in return, I received a bill from Hembree Law in excess of another $200.00 for filing the check and another employee (names of Hembree employees charging fees are not people I have met or have knowledge of), racked time on the clock "discussing" my child support check with another paralegal. They are taking unnecessary / unrequested actions only to create extra charges.
I have been documenting their mistakes, and inappropriate charges to create a public social media post. When you hire an attorney, especially when your kids, house, and financials are on the line, it is fair expectation to want a firm that will be organized, punctual, ethical, and bill appropriately. I would not recommend Hembree Law Firm.
Allyson Swanson seems to have a great reputation, but when you sign Hembree as your representative, you are then passed on to an assigned lawyer or paralegal, and the experience is not pleasant. The outstanding reviews for Allyson, if you take a close look, are only for her volunteer work at schools etc.
Imagine showing up for your expensive mediation meeting with your lawyer and mediator, the clock strikes 9am, the room TV is on and the mediator is about to go live , and on billable hours, and your lawyer is not even present. (I have photos of me sitting at Hembree Law conference room at my scheduled mediation time, and my lawyer, Kathleen Brown, was not present).

I initially chose JP Law Office for my divorce case based on their reputation and the promising start I experienced. Nicolette was approachable, proactive, and seemed genuinely committed to guiding me through this challenging time. In the beginning, I felt confident that I was in good hands. Their close attention to detail and prompt responses gave me hope that my case would be handled with the utmost professionalism.
However, as the case progressed, I began to notice a concerning shift. What started as a proactive and client-focused approach gradually turned into a frustrating experience. Communication became less frequent, and important aspects of my case seemed to be overlooked or delayed.Instead we were wasting hours in not so important details. It became increasingly clear that the level of care and diligence I initially received was no longer a priority. They were managing different cases but also mine and they had no incentives to spend the hours in the relevant and important details.
Unfortunately, this decline in service had significant consequences. Not only did it lead to unnecessary delays, but it also resulted in considerable financial strain and a disastrous sentence. I had expected a higher standard of service, especially considering the costs involved. Instead, I was left feeling that my resources were wasted, with little to show for the time and money invested.

Brad took over my case from another attorney during a difficult time. My daughter's father (my ex-husband) did not return her after her agreed upon visit the summer of 2014. He took away her means of communicating with me and others. Over a period of days, he would set a return date, then change it. My daughter was distressed and lost her trust in him. Because of previous attempts to get a resolution that supported my daughter, I did not have a lot of faith in the system. Brad is honest, has a serious level of attention to detail, great energy, and a strategic mind that works for the best interest of, in this case, my child. In the end, Brad and his pretty wonderful team of legal super heroes were able to provide me with a sense of relief and protection for my daughter. I could not ask for anything more.

In late December 2015, Bradley Coldwell stepped in when my then attorney could not continue with my case as he was running for public office and my common-law husband of 16+ years was pulling every dirty trick he could think of to make the divorce as difficult and expensive as possible. After agreeing in April 2015 to mediation within 60 days, he refused to turn over discovery forcing me to subpoena the requested documents, denied we were married, demanded a jury trial at the last minute before the final trial date, then firing his attorney and hiring a new one who he said was “the number one family law attorney in Williamson County”. My husband than announced that he had deliberately conflicted out every good attorney in town. Thank goodness, he skipped Brad in the conflicting process.
Brad got a second temporary orders hearing scheduled for early February 2016. Not only did he get the agreement that I regretting making in April 2015 reversed, he also got me temporary support, a large amount of attorney’s fees and the judge denied every one of my husband’s requests. Watching Brad and his paralegal, Ryan Dixon, in action at that hearing was more than I could have asked for. Calm, cool and always in control. Brad became my hero that day.
Through discovery updates and everything else that happened Brad and Ryan kept me up to date, never missed a deadline and were always there to answer my questions and calm my fears.
Our half-day mediation in June 2016 lasted 14 hours and turned out better than I could have dreamed of. By agreement, I received over half of the martial estate and other provisions that I don’t believe another attorney could have gotten for me.
I believe that my now ex-husband understands that he did not hire “the number one family law attorney in Williamson County”, I did …. and his name is Bradly Coldwell.
I highly recommend Bradley Coldwell of Coldwell Bowes. He will always be my HERO. Everyone at Coldwell Bowes are extremely professional and very nice.

While I applaud Eric Willie's courageous call for a reform. We have been toggled between abusive, delayed processes without accountability or reasons by the Supreme Court of the United States when urgent signature has been reviewed and approved for by lower courts.
Let's hope the 5 is not a front-end rating but a sincere address to dangerous local threats in public at the border state. Organized assault and molestation called out. No one came close to scratching in my car. It remains a 4.5 until then, focusing on where crimes are lurking and stemming. There is no guarantee it will not happen at the same time.
Life is more than surface code compliance.
It is individual and civic responsibilities both in-office and in public to address systemic issues reasonably applying legal code passed, during and after a worldwide pandemic.

Melissa received this rebound case from another firm and didn't take a minute to show her total disdain for my case. She did not respond in a timely manner to any questions that came from me and had no incentive to work on my case. Her attention to me was nil and she was always behind the opposing counsel.
He never defined a strategy and ruined my chances of getting a good settlement with his total lack of dedication and professionalism that still continues to this day.
Melissa cannot handle several cases at the same time because she is not qualified and what she will do is to send the basic diligences and wait for your case to be resolved like any other similar case, but without investigating anything related to your personal situation.
I never thought that my first experience with a lawyer in the US would be so bad and the worst thing is that they don't realize that their lack of professionalism has strong implications in your daily life.

I chose this law firm from my legal protection plan. I consulted with attorney Mario Flores on the phone for 8 minutes and sent him documents to review. His legal assistant put me on his calendar. Toward the end of that day, I called during business hours, but no one answered. I reached Mario on his cell phone, and he said his assistant "messed up" when scheduling. He said he had not reviewed my case and would not look at it until the following Monday. I reached out twice since then, but he did not return my calls or emails. It is apparent he is not interested in helping me further, but I would have preferred he told me that rather than ignoring me. My legal plan paid him a full consultation fee for an initial 8 minute converation, followed up by a one-minute call where he treated me rudely.
