Kevin is incredibly knowledgable and smart, and he is one of the very few lawyers who can handle high-conflict trial cases well. He is never afraid of litigation and will maximize your chance of winning. He won the restraining order against me in multiday trial. The opposing attorney is highly competitive, and I can see both him and the judge respect Kevin highly for his knowledge of law and litigation skills. He also got what I want for support and custody issues. Yes he is expensive, but he uses my money very efficiently. I highly recommend Kevin for any family cases.

Kevin was recommended to me by my uncle and was at first reluctant about changing my lawyer. You see, it is hard to find a lawyer that will stand for you since I felt that my previous lawyer do not care about me and I just met Kevin but I gave him a chance to show what he is capable of. First day in court and I was blown away with the way he work and defend my case. In fact, it was also obvious that the Judge was very impressed with him too. He is very organized, prepared and aggressive in court not to mention very knowledgeable in this aspect. He won my case and got more than I am expecting for. What has impressed me about Kevin is that he is honest and efficient in tackling the various roadblocks that have come up in my case. Whenever I would present a difficulty or question, he would clearly present to me my options. In addition, he has always had my financial situation and my personal wishes in mind. He has always been prompt in answering my questions. Also, I have appreciated that he has maintained a professional stance when others would choose to get emotional. Over the years I have been by my husband's side as he has fought a horrific custody battle using countless of Modesto's "best" lawyers with very small results until we hired Betty Julian. She was truly amazing! She worked tirelessly along with her staff on our case, helping to organize years of information and putting all of our anxiety and fears at ease, while being direct and honest with us about our case ever step of the way. I have hired a few lawyers over the years for my divorce and custody proceedings with lackluster results until I hired Betty Julian. I appreciated her straight forward, honest, hard-working domeanor, and utmost professionalism. Every time I go back to court with Betty by my side, I feel not only fully prepared, but I leave with more results than expected. My custodial time has increased instead of decreased and I was able to keep my daughter in her school and county of residence. There arent enough words to express how much of an AMAZING Attorney Michael is. He sets the bar on the level of communication he has with his clients. He takes so much pride in his ability to fight for his client, that he studies each and every word in your case. There were details he remembered that I had informed him of, and as I thought I was notifying him for the first time, he finished my update all on his own, remembering every little detail, as if it happened directly to him. I forgot I had already relayed the update, but I cant even begin to describe the overwhelming feeling of comfort to know Michael was not just my attorney, he was someone who genuinely cared about me and my kids. We went to our hearing, Michael all prepared and excited to represent me, evidence and notes in one hand and confidence in the other. Michael is not a very tall man by any means, but the fight he had inside of him, the fight he used defending and representing me, was one of an army from Sparta!! As a mom, going through court against my kids father, who instigated constant chaos, is that last and the hardest situation you ever want to face in general, however, just to know that Michael was in my corner fighting with and for me and my kids, made this situation a bit easier to handle. Wow!! Mr. Carbone and his team has helped put my family back in order with his unbelievable talents in the court room. I was paying out the wazoo to my ex and barely seeing my child and Mr.Carbone assured me at the consultation that he could fix it for me. We went to court and after he started i thought to myself "This guy is out of his league, he needs to be in a big city with big shot attorneys". So I hired the lawyer Karen Suri this year for a modification of a restraining order/ visitation for my son. In this case I was the respondent for the case. Honestly, she was great, she answered all my questions in a timely manner and assisted me with those tough and private questions I had. Since this isn't my scope of practice I had a lot of questions :). She arrived promptly the day of the hearing and has kept me up to date with what is still left pending on my case. Amazing results!! I am so thankful for the team of Shelly Jean John and Stephen John and their excellent partnership as they managed my case to end the alimony payments to the ex-spouse. Stephen’s paralegal writing was excellent as he created the Request for Order for my case and took the time to ask me the detailed questions needed to present the facts needed by the courts. Like most, I never expected that I would find myself going through a divorce. This, however, was not the worst part of it. I was served with a temporary DVRO from my ex-wife that was full of the most slanderous statements that I ever could have imagined and an expressed desire to move out-of-state with our 6-year old daughter. I was feeling scared, desperate, and nearly without hope.
I was referred to Mr. Burton by a dear friend of mine and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, within a short period of time, he and I found our way to craft what we believed to be a winning strategy.
We were outspent 5 to 1 and went through a grueling six day trial. But, at the end, we kept my daughter with me and I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude to the work and dedication to the truth that Mr. Burton demonstrated during our shared ordeal.
With my divorce final and my daughter near me, I can, without hesitation, state that if I had any other attorney, I doubt my life would be the same.

We hired Jamra and Jamra for a volatile divorce and were super happy to have Michael Hanasab handle our case. There were lots of scary issues to contend with regarding child custody and allegations about unfairness in the divorce proceedings. Michael gave the best advice, although I wasn’t the best at following it, I did end up getting full custody of my children. I wish that all of this never happened but am very grateful to Michael for being the voice of reason. He was able to defend a lot of the unjust accusations and kept a calm demeanor throughout all of the drama. I will always be appreciative of Michael’s knowledge of the law and his ability to apply it with such precision. He is honest, reliable and professional. I was in a very stressful and critical phase of my divorce where I was being accused of some pretty untrue, but lethal things that could have caused me to not get the custody of my children I wanted and deserved. I hired Mike and he came in there and made the "clutch free-throws" when it counted. He responded perfectly to the opposing council. We ended up going to court and he walked in their looking highly polished and confident, not arrogant and made the opposing council so nervous, they had no choice but to back down and give me what was fair and reasonable.

I hired Michael (along with Grace Jamra) in 2011. I came over from another big firm as I had been disappointed with the direction of my ongoing custody case. At the time I hired Michael I was facing more litigation and hearings and an evaluation. Michael was able to talk to opposing counsel and made every attempt to calm the situation. He knew my case inside and out, was reachable when I needed him and guided me through some very tough times. When it came to the evaluation Michael was instrumental in helping to pick the right evaluator (something that took quite a while) and met with me on several occasions to answer any and all questions I had about the process. Needless to say, my case turned around and in the end Michael was able to get opposing party to settle (even though opposing party was adamant about fighting and going to trial).
As for cost, I had to laugh at the negative review here. I was charged triple that amount at my previous firm in a matter of months. The billing with Michael @ Jamra & Jamra was incredibly fair and hugely different billing practices than some of the bigger firms. I never once felt I was being over billed or double/triple billed like I did at my previous big firm. Anyone who is going into custody litigation needs to do research and realize that it is an expensive area of law and the more litigation involved the higher the costs. I wouldn't think twice before recommending Michael to others if they needed a good and competent custody/divorce lawyer.

I can’t say enough positive things about Chelsea. I was the party of a nasty divorce with a narcissist; which is the worst divorce to encounter. After having two previous attorneys that wanted to play games, I hired Chelsea to complete remaining items. She was thorough and direct on completing the issues and knows the law better than any other. I also compliment her on her integrity and class, both in and out of the courtroom. She has a positive reputation with judges. The most vicious and evil people in the world are not just those who commit blatantly overt crimes, but also those who masquerade as do-gooders, for the purpose of deceiving and robbing others of their time, money, and peace of mind. On the outside they appear to say and do all the right things, as they pursue cover-up careers, and titles that make them look altruistic and charitable to those that don’t really know them. Sometimes they even pretend to be advocates for the bullied and less fortunate. These sorts of people are highly skilled in the deception game, and are extremely convincing actors because they live inside their own heads, and believe their own lies. They lack integrity and ruin lives. Our opponent was such a person; however, she was not able to fool Iris Finsilver, nor was she able to browbeat, or outwit her.
Iris immediately saw our opponent, for the con artist she was, and developed a strategy that exposed her falsified statements and web of lies. Iris uncovered and provided irrefutable evidence that verified that our antagonist committed perjury.
Truth won out because, Iris not only uncovered the lies, she substantiated the truth. We won our case and we were able to move forward with our lives, quite happily, and successfully, and unencumbered, despite the attempts of the most shrewd and crafty con artist we ever encountered.

I was going through an 'amicable' divorce with my husband and we agreed on how to split our assets. Being a paralegal, I was able to complete and file most of my own paperwork with the court. However, I needed the assistance of an attorney to draft a marital settlement agreement that would be acceptable to the courts and be in accordance with the law. I was referred to Nate by an attorney friend of mine. Nate and I met and I laid out the facts of my agreement with my husband. Nate accepted to work with me on the settlement agreement aspect of my divorce without asking to take over my entire divorce matter. Nate quickly grasped the issues at hand, and drafted a marital settlement agreement accordingly. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of family law, including the laws governing retirement accounts and retirement funds which often become an issue in divorce matters. There were only minor changes to Nate's initial draft of the agreement and we were able to complete the process in a reasonable and timely manner. During the process, Nate was on vacation for some time, but despite being out of state, he would respond to my questions immediately and address any issues that came up during that time. Nate was also very mindful of keeping his legal fees within reason and he never wasted any time in meetings, phone calls or e-mails. I greatly value Nate's legal services, his professionalism, and his knowledge of the law and highly recommend Nate to anyone.
