I honestly don't even know where to begin! I came to this firm with a unique, ongoing situation. I could not have asked for better assistance or direction than from what I received from Anne Jorgensen, specifically. I have worked with a few lawyers from this firm and had an incredibly positive experience with each. Ms. Jorgensen is my main gal, however, if she wasn't able to assist me with a specific area of law, she would refer me to another attorney at the practice who could. I hired Spencer Kotnik to represent me in a disability lawsuit. Unfortunately, my experience with him was extremely negative. He seemed uninterested in my case and spent significant time rambling during our meetings. Despite multiple requests, he failed to improve his communication skills, which was particularly frustrating given my own disability. I no longer trusted Spencer or his firm, so I consulted with another Denver lawyer who took the time to review everything exchanged during the process. She encouraged me to ask Spencer specific questions, which he ignored until two days before my deadline. She agreed that he missed a few key points, was all over the place, and " his communication is not his strong point". Working with Spencer and his team left me stranded, frustrated, and unheard. I would not recommend their services to anyone, especially anyone with a disability.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a divorce attorney, I highly recommend this team. My divorce was complete in about 6 months from start to finish and I’m actually receiving a refund from my initial retainer.

Laurie is an excellent attorney! She effectively communicated and facilitated the completion and court approval of a 50/50 parenting plan between myself and my child's mother during a very hostile period of time. She recommended details for the plan I would have never even thought of. As a first time father dealing with a rough break up Laurie was a great voice of reason and was very helpful. I did a great deal of research weighing who/what kind of attorney I hoped to work with on my divorce/modification case. I can honestly and emphatically say that I *cannot say enough wonderful things about Laurie Joe*. She (and her team) worked tirelessly on my case even in instances that she had other cases to attend to. There were even a few times where she was out of the office around the Holiday season and she still replied/called me in response to any emails during that time out. She answered all questions completely and if I still needed more information beyond the detail she provided, she willingly consulted others in order to get that information. She was an excellent sounding board for anything I needed and was very patient with me throughout the entire process. Laurie also kindly and honestly answered the dreaded "what would you do if in my situation" question, even if I did not like the answer. She also worked with my ex in a fashion that kept our situation as de-escalated as possible while maintaining the nature of what I wanted to accomplish. If you're on the fence about an attorney, working with Laurie will make you so happy you had her in your corner.

So recently, I had an unfortunate situation arise where I needed a lawyer regarding a family dispute involving young children. Unfortunately we couldn’t come to a resolution and I was forced to find a lawyer to represent me. The team at Kohn law, specifically Erica Bertini and Debbie are beyond amazing and represented me with stellar results! On the initial consultation, I knew they were who I wanted representing me! I was treated with the utmost respect and spoken with, not at or down to. When things were getting tight on time, they worked with me and helped me get through everything being stern but still considerate and respectful treating me as a person not just another client. We won the initial part of our battle with ease because I retained an amazing law firm with stellar lawyers who have amazing knowledge, expertise and experience! The paralegal, Debbie, was always professional, staying on the phone with me sometimes late to make sure she had all the information, documentation and details that they needed to proceed with my case. She was instrumental in making sure we had all our ducks in a row and worked with me every step of the way. Erica, my lawyer, worked feverishly ensuring a win for us. She made sure that I knew what was expected from me, always asking if I had any questions or concerns about anything. When I was frazzled and unsure what to do she helped calm me down and always reassured me. She was definitely a rock in my corner that always had an open ear and kind words of support. I’m not sure what they offer for legal counsel, advice or defense other than what they helped me with but I’m telling you right now that you’d be doing yourself a serious disservice by not contacting them and getting a consultation. My son had an issue where he needed a lawyer. he was fortunate enough to find the Kohn law firm. Erica, his lawyer, is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgeable and worked very hard to help my son with his case. Debbie, his paralegal, was great! She would sit on the phone with my son sometimes late into the evening making sure he had everything needed and understood everything being asked! I really hope I never need a lawyer but if I do, I'll be calling the Kohn law firm. We are so thankful for them. Michael was a lifesaver for us - I called him early one morning and he immediately jumped into action and went to the jail. He met us at the courthouse that afternoon for a hearing. On May 11th I wrote a complaint letter to Peter Fabish at Conscious Family Law and Mediation LLC regarding Mediation services with him on February 26, 2024. The least that I expected was a refund check for $750. There has been no response. Without going into the details, I will say that Peter's actions led to one member of a group of three seeking Mediation for an APR, Allocation for Parental Responsibilities, to make a radical move on March 1st, 2024 that led to the false arrest of another person in the group of three, serious criminal charges, and the removal of a young child from two people he loves and a home he feels safe in. Subsequently, my entire humble savings is gone to legal fees and my next step is to take out a loan. I am 76 and live on Social Security. The consequences because of Peter's incompetence has thrown us into a crisis that may never be fully resolved. We gave a clear picture of what we expected from Mediation in our intake session and we requested the non-attorney for Mediation to save money. Peter showing up as an attorney was their first mistake. The trauma from this incident has been highly stressful and harmful though abruptly losing the child in our lives is the deepest grief that I have ever experienced. It was a life-changing mistake to use this company and Peter Fabish.
