I found Melissa through several reviews online. I was in need of a prenup which was originally from my fiancé’s attorney and she was able to walk me through and make the much needed suggestions. She was always available to either speak on the phone and very quick to respond on email. I felt she was empathetic as well as knowledgeable and professional. We were able to come to an agreement for the prenup in a short time and she was reasonable and her rates. I also appreciated her patience concerning my lack of knowledge in this area. God for bid that I’d have to execute down the road, but if I do, I would hire Melissa to represent me.

She is so thorough with the client and she has a great relationship with many of the “important players” in Walton County CourtHouse! I was updated on a regular basis. However since this case was delayed and extended due to the pandemic it was a bit more expensive than I expected but I wasn’t ever overcharged for anything at all I think it’s a big deal for you too have someone like Mrs. Stewart working for you and your family!! She’s knows the law especially Family Law and she’s just great, honest, and a engaging lawyer for her clients! I am forever indebted to Saralyn who fought to keep my daughter in Georgia. She fought for us as if we were family. Watching her work in the courtroom and in depositions was incredible. Lauren Taylor was great! She's professional and, using her years of experience, was realistic on how to handle certain issues we ran into along the way. She's not your typical lawyer, she actually listens, cares about you & your family and isn't trying to charge a lot of money.. for us to ultimately get nowhere. (Some lawyers are just looking to nickel & dime you to death, she didn't).
She provided excellent guidance when I needed it the most and was very affordable. I would use her again and would/have recommended her to others!

Two and a half years ago our very happy and peaceful life in retirement came to a very sudden halt. We were asked to drive 4-5 hour from our home in order to ensure the safety and welfare of our baby grandson. Honestly, I wouldnt use anyone else. My experience was as great as a terrible time in my life could have been. Ms. Marum gave brilliant guidance and offered solutions that I wouldnt have thought of otherwise. She was able to get to the bottom of what I truly wanted and needed for my young son and I. There were very delicate issues dealing with addiction, but Ms. Marum was able to navigate those issues well and provided support for the fact that I wanted to give my ex every opportunity to see our son, but wanted the security of making sure that relationship was a safe and healthy one. As dramatic as the title is, Mr. Davis did just that. I was in the divorce of hell! Not to mention a custody battle that included IVF. The question was if the baby that I carried via RIVF( carried wife’s egg) was legally mine. As the state of Georgia does not legitimate children born of IVF, I was told that I was a biological stranger to my children. Like the child that was cut out of my uterus could be taken away from me as well as our son that was born a month before marriage. My life was literally being ripped apart! Mr. Davis did not offer any promises but assured me that we would take this thing head on. He did just that I was granted 50/50 custody to both of my children and child support. He’s a godsend! I’m forever grateful. Not to mention he always answered all of my frantic calls, emails, and text messages. Thank you again!

These last few years in have been dealing with hostage situation in the form of my Ex wife who choose to leave our marital home with our child. My previous representation IS a wreck and I had to find someone that actually could do the job.
Gina not only provided patience, logical standpoints and understanding but she also treated me like a person and not just a case or an income. Given the trash heap I brought to her in the form of my case, she did the best that she could to help clean up. She is not afraid to stand up and represent you and deflect wrong doing or poor decisions that could damage your life worse than it currently could be. Gina Grady of this lawy firm recently represented me for a case involving a divorce with children. She helped me settle this divorce, get a contempt against the children’s other parent for refusing visitation and in the end I got custody of my children because of their previously unstable living environment.
Both the firm and Mrs Grady were very professional and very responsive. They allowed me to do as much leg work as I could to help with the case and Mrs Grady would use all resources available, including conferring with other attorneys at the firm, to ensure that everything was handled and accurately and proficiently as possible.
If I have any more legal matters requiring an attorney with this case, I will be coming back to this law firm to assist me in getting it handled.

I divorced 13 years ago and made the mistake of not requiring my ex-husband to refinance our mortgages. For the last 6 years, my ex consistently missed mortgage payments which destroyed my credit. Every attorney I spoke to about my situation said that I didn't have a case. Then I met Thad. My ex was forced to sell his house. Thankfully he sold it when he did because he hadn't made a payment in over 6 months and the house was in pre-foreclosure. Now I'm finally off of the mortgages after 13 years. I'm in control of my credit and can finally move on.

Mr. Pettersson just helped me with a divorce case. I called a lot of attorneys before I contacted Mr. Pettersson. I was really happy I hired him and please with the outcome of the case. He was very clear about what he could do for me, what results to expect and what he needed from me. He was personable and compassionate about my concerns and always contacted me back with responses to my questions. His paralegal, Michelle, was fantastic! Mr. Pettersson was persistent and firm without being obnoxious and he was very thorough in covering each part of my case. There was nothing cheap about hiring an attorney, however, I feel that he did everything he could to keep the expenses reasonable on my side of the case. The other side paid three times as much (and some of my fees too :). I had the confidence knowing Mr. Pettersson, as my attorney, did everything he could to help me in an efficient and ethical manner. I cannot begin to say enough great things about Margaret. I had a gut feeling about her and my gut did not steer me wrong. I am beyond thankful that she took on my case. No separation is easy, especially when it involves children. David took my jurisdiction case and knocked it out of the park. Divorce isn’t easy. At the time, I was on active duty Air Force stationed in Biloxi. Divorce was simultaneously filed in Georgia and Mississippi, although I’ve never been a GA resident. Military divorces have key differences in residence vs domicile vs home of record. David found some keen strategies within case law precedent about residency and turned them against my opponent ultimately working in my favor. Judge dismissed allowing us to move the case back to MS. I trust David’s judgement. He gets to work, he believes in the father’s rights to equality, and he holds his professional image throughout. Unlike my opponent’s attorney who used some sketchy, unethical tactics. I called David recently for advice on an unrelated matter....we chatted about Football, family, and life in general. An attorney and a freind.

As I have recently found out, divorce is not easy.
Please consider your defense in your own personal divorce. Every marriage is different, every divorce is different, every lawyer is different. I really feel like I picked the best lawyer for my case.
I was referred to DMQ by another lawyer. I already knew the firm had an excellent reputation. What I did not know is that David Marple is an excellent strategist!
He orchestrated a very complicated situation in my case and it couldn't have had a better result.
My divorce took about 3 months. If I didn't have David's creative mind, it could have taken years.
I have to say at some points it looked hopeless and I was scared. However, the whole team at DMQ knew what they were doing when I didn't. They were compassionate as well as assertive. This whole firm operates with "class" and I felt good about every decision we had to make.
I would highly recommend David Marple to anyone needing legal counsel. He is excellent!

Emily (aka "Sandy") Bair is a woman of immense intellect, with the determination to do her best for her client. She is a woman of few words, but every word she speaks counts. She will never ramble on either in her office or in court. Judges respect that. Her preparation is meticulous. She will cut you off if you rattle on, to remind you that you are paying her to hear you vent, and that there are cheaper people to vent to.
My case had been going on for seven years when she took it over. I had just been through a hearing using another attorney. Having already been found in contempt, I hired Sandy Bair who appealed part of the court order and convinced the court to reduce my penalties as the action giving rise to the contempt had been performed by me immediately following and in accord with the specific and express legal advice of my former attorney.
Ms. Bair is now handling my QDRO/pension problems as my divorce was in 2004 and I still have not received the pension benefits I was awarded in the divorce. QDRO's are a very specific part of the law that is very complicated. She has done much legal research in that area and is very well-versed in the particulars of QDROs.
If you are looking for sweet and chatty, don't hire Sandy. If you are looking for an intelligent, experienced, straight-talking, hard-working, honest lawyer who can cut through legal BS- she is all that. I also think she is a female lawyer that men would be comfortable hiring.

Ms. Bair handled a very contentious divorce case and subsequent alimony modification action for me. My ex-wife tried hard to litigate numerous extraneous issues, engage in abusive discovery and take unnecessary depositions. I am an attorney myself, and she worked to avoid inflaming a hostile plaintiff and move the case to a settlement. She is known for those skills.

I retained Sana as my attorney in my child custody case for my three kids. My divorce lawyer (in another state) did nothing but rack up my bill and cost me at every turn, while doing very little for me. Sana however did an absolutely fantastic job of keeping me informed and on track, helping me to make the right decisions when I wasn’t clear. She was able to not only help me navigate around an ex wife who is less than agreeable, but ultimately won me full custody of my kids as well.
To say she helped me is an understatement. She didn’t just help me, and she wasn’t just an attorney. She was able to see through a lot of the fog that was thrown our way, and helped me achieve something I never thought possible.
From my experience not all attorneys are equal, and from what I’ve seen Sana is by far better than any attorney I’ve ever dealt with.

Francis did an excellent job on my case. The outcome was great but more important than the outcome is that she really cared about my children’s well being and not a dollar . Although my divorce is what I consider the worst experience of my life, I have to give my attorney, Ms Debra Bryan a lot of credit,, for keeping me on track. The entire process was such a emotional roller coaster, and i whined entirely to much, but at the end of this process, my attorney (who I nickname mom) was able to secure me, a very nice and fair settlement. Bill was kind and understanding of my limitations, and worked within my limitations to get things done.
He does not put on airs or arrogance. He is an ex-Veteran (Army)...and down to earth.
He was gracious to my family especially my daughter as he believed he was fighting for her.
His is a small firm and you are not paying for a lot of the extra frivolties of large firms. Because of this, he was able to arrange a payment plan when I had little to nothing to give at the beginning.
He is just a no nonsense man who knows the law backwards and forewards.
He is not a typical suit and tie shark lawyer only wanting money. He works for the money you pay him and he works with you on payment.
His fees and payment arrangements were reasonable and fair and flexible.
He made sure I understood the law as well as he did. He explained things thoroughly so I was never wasting my time with misunderstandings and confusions.
He negotiated intelligently for me with the other lawyer throughout a complex divorce involving financial and emotional abuse, mental problems, trauma, a personality disorder, disability, and molestation.
He was honest, and put his foot down when I was not following through on my side...making sure I was not wasting money or opportunities...But he did so with tact.
He mediated me a good financial lump sum from my divorce.
My daughter and I are in a good financial situation due to him.
He plans to help me to negotiate down some of my debt with creditors.
He has told me his favorite cases are injury cases...I know he can handle any case with any complexities seeing what he was able to do with my case.
I had to drive an hour and a half each way to see him each time we met....and I have to say that.

Bill kept me informed throughout my entire case. When I couldn't meet during the day he stayed late, when I couldn't take a call during the day he'd set up time to call me on the weekend. My lawyer was first rate. She help me put a stop to a lot of the little game my ex was playing. She fought hard and embarrassed my ex and her lawyer. Make my ex admit that i wasnt fighting for revenge but the right to see my daughter. Using they other lawyers claims and evdince against them. I had some serious and complicated residual issues from my divorce several years ago, and had previously been burned and set back by a few 'very seasoned' (and very terrible/burnt-out) attorneys, before Kelly. Based on my situation and prior experiences in court, I was fully expecting (and dreading) that my only option would be to return there, and fight for something with little chances of prevailing. I met with Kelly, gave her a pile of paperwork and notes to review, with the agreement that we would conference call soon to discuss her recommendations. During that initial meeting, Kelly impressed me with her both professional and caring review of my situation. She was quick to dismiss/filter things that weren't relevant, asked very direct questions, and outlined how we would progress. A few weeks later, when we conference called to review, she recommended three options, with the dreaded court date as #3 (last). Although I didn't believe that my ex-wife would accept anything, I agreed to start with Option #1, expecting it to lead to #2 and then #3. Kelly prepared what we needed for Option #1, sent it to me for approval, and then presented it to my ex-wife. To my surprise and relief, my ex accepted our requests. I firmly believe that what Kelly presented and how she presented it (tone) nudged my ex into agreement. I think that Kelly means business, and she was able to convey this to my ex in a non-threatening, yet motivating way. She has saved me a lot, because I believe most attorneys would have signed me up for court dates and lots of expense, more concerned for their billable hours than my welfare.

I hired Kelly specifically on a recommendation from a family member. I knew I needed someone who really knew what they were doing for my case, and knew I needed to be prepared for a potentially ugly fight. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted to be fair, but not taken advantage of in resolving my case.
Kelly was purely professional in her handling. She made sure I was prepared each step of the way, and worked with me to provide a fair and equitable settlement of my case.
While Kelly is not the cheapest attorney out there, I knew going in that you get what you pay for. And I knew I better be prepared for a fight and not need to, rather than need to fight and be unprepared. Kelly's fees were reasonable for a top flight attorney, and quite frankly one of the best investments I think I have ever made.

After going through two other attorneys in a divorce/custody case that started over a year and a half ago, Sally took over and put an end to the madness. She immediately took action and got the ball moving.
