I can’t tell you how many lawyers I have contacted and how many consultations I paid. I went from big firms to lawyers here on Avvo with a lot of reviews, contacted some that were recommended. and in the end I landed on Kirstyn Palmisano.
Let me tell you, she was very responsive, attentive and answered all of my questions in such a caring and observant manner that I knew I wanted her and her team to represent me.
I have a high conflict divorce, but Kirstyn and her team walked me through all of the steps and helped me feel safe and taken care of. I feel very confident and reassured having Kirstyn and her team representing me, guiding me through the legal process and stayed focus on protecting the best interest for me and my child. Kirstyn is not afraid to stand by her clients and fight for you and for what is right. She is very sharp, and knows her stuff very well.
She also has a very skilled paralegal and I had the pleasure to also work with her other legal partner, and they are an amazing team!

Amanda is a godsend. I had a tough time not only dealing with my child's father, but finding someone willing to take on a parenting plan not tied to a divorce. She was able to deftly navigate antagonistic emails in a timely fashion, made sure she was available at critical events and only billed for time spent, and protected my daughter and myself by making sure I didn't sign anything without her review. Working with Heritage Law has been so comforting. I did a consultation and then I was assigned to Amanda Holder and Alicia Olney for my custody case. Going through a custody battle is hard as it is, it’s stressful and emotional. Working with Alicia on the day to day and being represented by Amanda took almost all of the stress away. Alicia is quick to respond and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or bothering her when I didn’t quite understand something. Amanda is fantastic in the court room, well spoken and quick witted. This team showed me so much compassion and care while navigating the court system for me. October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. On very short notice, Julie and her team were able to frame and present my case which secured a positive outcome at the temporary orders hearing-- for me to be awarded primary custodian of my children and to be able to temporarily remain in the family home. From the moment Rose answered my call in May 2018 to when we settled in the Fall of 2022 they treated us like family and made my daughter and I feel as though we could always trust them. I retained Kalka for assistance in fighting a protection order filed against me during a divorce case. Kalka was extremely thorough in gathering only the facts in the case. Though frustrated that I was having to spend time supplying information to defend myself against false allegations, Kalka was adamant in supplying her with all the information she would need to be successful in her defense. During our court appearance, Kalka arrived confident and prepared. She did an outstanding job of presenting the situation, stating the facts and providing all documentation to back up the facts, resulting in the case being dismissed. I was already well into the process when I was referred to NW Injury Law Center. My feeling is had Jesse been holding my hand from the beginning things would have gone much smoother. If you've not been in an auto accident lately, there are many hoops to jump through and nobody is volunteering any information to help you. These are two things you are looking for in a lawyer when you are going through emotionally and financially exhausting processes like divorce, dvpo, custody and other family law matters. Court systems are hard to navigate when you have enough to take care as a single parent and while you are adjusting to your new reality. Brian helps take this burden off of you. He is highly knowledgeable and knows how to navigate these issues and address them appropriately. He is mindful of your finances and does a great job representing you, which is all you can ask for and expect. He listens, unlike a lot of other lawyers out there, he takes your input and advises on what the law dictates and advises accordingly. He is not brash but rather the kindest lawyer I've worked with, and I have worked with for almost 4 years. I must add that his para legal Jeff Welling has also been present to answer when Brian is attending to other clients; they are both highly responsive. Brian helped through a very tough divorce with custody at stake. Throughout the difficult process Brian was always upfront and honest about what he thought in terms of key decisions and what I wanted. If he did not think it was a sound path, he would say so and explain why.
Brian was always professional in dealing with myself, the court, and opposing counsel. In dealing with opposing counsel he was balanced in advocating for me within the law with a difficult spouse that caused many problems.
I would not hesitate a second in hiring Brian.

Mark is my first lawyer who accept my divorce case and I was involved in a terrible divorce while my ex husband uses every way including the legal system as a way to abuse me and I personally am very depressed.
Mark took over and really helped me greatly. I was very confused about which route my life is going and he was patient along the way and fighted my rights with my abusing ex-husband.
Due to my own uncertainty of my life and unwillingness to continue the path, Mark and I part way and then I find another lawyer who is not very professional and eventually lost my case.

I came to Mark after wasting time with another attorney for the beginning of my case. Mark made me feel secure that he would fight for the things that were important to me. I had the privilege of working with Dan Cook and his team during an unwanted, very stress-filled, unreasonably delayed divorce. Dan was able to keep things simple, equitable, and given the circumstances, extremely reasonably priced. Kind, compassionate, understanding, supportive, all the good thingsthat you would hope to find in someone who is defending you and fighting fiercely on your behalf.
