After being blindsided with a request for a divorce I searched everywhere for lawyers that could help me immediately. My head began to spin with all the horror stories I heard about men's representation in divorce/parental proceedings, especially being a man of color. I was blessed to find Genevieve Davis. She immediately took my case and helped with every step of reacting to my divorce. Mrs. Davis took care of everything, and was always extremely prompt returning my calls and took her time explaining anything I did not understand (which was alot). I am aware that this is not a guarantee, but for my specific case, Mrs Davis was able to get me everything I requested specifically the time I requested with my children. She is extremely kind, excellent at her job, and most importantly empathetic. In this worst situation she got me the best results. I am forever grateful for her services.

I was blessed to find Ms. Davis and have her assistance in my Family Law case. After my ex-wife contracted a dirty and unscrupulous lawyer to “destroy my life”, as she said herself, I went through almost 2 years of fear and depression due to the threats and unimageable lies they made up about me in the process. Taking advantage of my ex-wife ignorance, her perverse lawyer kept throwing her against me, making false affirmations about myself and pushing us to go into court trials just to fill up her pockets, not caring at any moment about our mental health or even about our 5 years old daughter who was in the middle of all that. Trapped in this legal imbroglio they stuck me in, and after talking to many many family attorneys - that only seemed to care if I had enough money to pay their fees - I was extremely hopeless until Ms. Davis called me and said she was going to handle my case. That was a life changer for me. Like an angel sent from the heavens she calmed down, made feel protected and drove me through the most difficult situation of my life.
Very knowledgeable, caring and fair, she won our final trial and I was still rewarded attorneys fees from my evil ex-wife.

There aren't enough words to say how amazing Ms. Davis as an attorney. My case was fraught with high level conflict regarding custody of my 1 1/2 year old daughter, we were in a very unsafe living situation at the time and Genevieve took no stops to be present in her legal advice to get us out safely, she took my frantic calls on the weekends and guided my daughter and I both out of the situation (legally speaking).
After our temporary parenting plan was put into place, she worked tirelessly to prepare us for our Permanent Parenting Plan. She guided me through multiple protection orders and gracefully handled harassing calls from my ex. At all times Ms. Davis remains with a level head and exceptionally thorough in navigating the intricacies of both combative relationships and the legal system itself. My daughter's father struggled with following the rules in our Temp PP and her council successfully lead us through CR2A agreements, contempt orders and even a criminal case.
By the time we reached the Permanent Parenting Plan trial, we received every last thing we asked for, including the requirement of my daughter's father going to DV Dad's and Anger Management counseling. While my ex and I will never be "friends" through this process and counseling we are slowly learning to be civil.

During 2011-2013 John helped me with the process to change my Visa Status. The school I was enrolled in committed several mistakes leading the change of visa from a J1 to an F1 that eventually the Visa was denied and the case was cancelled in two different occasions. John finally took care of the process and later on had to intervened with the school to avoid having me paying the fees that the USCIS required in order to re-open my case. After waiting for a long time I did get my Visa. John charged me a fee that took in consideration my financial situation.

I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. Talking to her always made me feel better. She went above and beyond for me from beginning to end like no others, and for that I'm forever grateful for everything she has done for me.

I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. If you have ever dealt with a truly pathological person you know how crazy they can make a legal case. There is almost nobody who understands the abuse dynamics in family law. The mother of my child came after my family and I hard. She made accusations against my family, my friends and myself, claiming whatever she could to get full custody of our son and have a ton of restrictions put on me. I must have called at least a dozen lawyers, many of whom were either not accepting new clients or were charging insane retainer fees. I had my consultation with Kiley shortly after contacting her firm. She was extremely professional and seemed more knowledgeable than most people I'd talked to. Since hiring Kiley, she has helped me get an order of protection against me denied, a very favorable family plan ruling and is currently helping me deal with a child support issue as DCS has the wrong information about my income. I would absolutely recommend Kiley Anderson to anyone who's in need of a family law attorney. She prepared an eloquently written and factually accurate argument. She pointed out every little inconsistency in the other parties claims, and there were a lot of them. She completely outclassed the opposing attorney and by the time she had finished talking to the judge I was simply ecstatic that I'd chosen to hire her.
Her paralegal Liz is extremely responsive and friendly. During an emergency incident on a weekend, she took my call and worked me through what the situation was and what steps I should take next. Honest, Reliable, and Efficient
I hired Kris to help me get full custody of my children. I was just about 1-year into a divorce which included a parenting plan requiring 50/50 custody with my ex and a child support order that had me paying each month. My ex had essentially abandoned the children and her obligation but I was stuck with the court orders, thus stuck with paying child support and not having any closure for the children. It was an incredibly stressful situation and Kris was on top of things from day 1. I could write a 10-page review about all that went on but I’ll summarize by saying he achieved the outcome I was looking for. Furthermore, he secured temporary orders, almost immediately after taking my case, which provided my family with a tremendous amount of relief during the rest of the court proceedings.
Prior to meeting with Kris I had talked with several other attorneys. I had a lot of legal experience having handled my own divorce pro se. I felt like most were just telling me what I wanted to hear and didn’t seem to care much about me. In a few cases I thought I would be better off representing myself. Kris was different. I hired him on the spot.
He listened, he understood, and he explained things very clearly. He does not provide false hope. He explains strategies clearly and allows you to control the level of risk/reward you are comfortable taking. In my case he delivered exactly what we had talked about in our very first meeting. I felt confident in Kris’s representation. That’s huge when you’re going through any type of stressful case. I never worried that “the other team” would somehow get one over on him. They never did.
There’s an office behind Kris and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention some of the other things that made my experience less stressful. Kris utilizes a paralegal to handle legal filings, documentation updates, and other activities around a legal case. Melody was assigned to my case and she was outstanding. Our filings were always on time or early, our responses were timely, and I never worried about missing a deadline or having anything fall through the cracks. Shay in the billing department was also very pleasant. Bills were clear and easy to understand. Bills arrive via email and so do receipts for payment. This made it simple to review, pay, and track my activity from my phone. The office itself is pleasant and peaceful and it feels very successful. I wouldn’t know if they have a voice mail system as my calls were always answered by a human and returned same day if Kris wasn’t available. Emails were also returned same day or early the next day if I sent one off in the late evening.
Kris will definitely be my attorney should I ever require legal assistance in the future. I’m certain he could “duke it out in court” but his demeanor and professionalism secured my outcome without having to go there. He’s always focused on securing the outcome and he works very well with opposing council to achieve it.

Kristofer Leavitt is the absolute best attorney. I'm so incredibly thankful and grateful that I found Kris and that he's my attorney. I'm a small business owner and was served with a civil litigation lawsuit from an ex client. The lawsuit was not justified whatsoever. I had never been sued before and didn't know where to begin. Needless to say, I was petrified. I was completely inexperienced in legal protocol. I knew I had to get an attorney ASAP. I had consultations with several Las Vegas attorneys. Kris was the first one that I spoke with and the best one. In my initial consultation, Kris already had the complaint against me in front of him and began advising me. This is actually a tough review to write because truly I have appreciated so many things about Emily and her team. Some things that come to mind are that she would always encourage me kindly and professionally not to waste my time, effort, and money on a battle that I would not win. That being said, when there arose a time that she knew there was something I was passionate about she was always ready to go to bat for me. Another thing I loved about her was her and her office teams attention to detail, my documents always ended up looking very professional and free of typos and although I am a strong writer, Emily is also a strong writer which really helped get the story that needed to be told out there. Emily is truly a unique individual; she is personable and friendly and honest and kind; qualities that can be tough to find in an attorney. I suggest that you learn to trust her implicitly as getting through family litigation issues is stressful enough as it is. I am a licensed mental health counselor, a therapist in private practice for over 30 years, and recently retained Jonathan on the advice of another attorney that I regard quite highly but was unavailable. His high praise for Jonathan proved true, as he was both very professional and personable in his representation of my case, which was basically a delusional ex-client claiming that I and members of my family were stalking her. She was able to use the state to get a domestic violence restraining order against me and my son, who did not know her, and the assistance of a "victim's" advocate at taxpayer expense as the state has written these laws to "protect" the "victim" even if everything they say is utterly fallacious. Jonathan put together an excellent defense (you have to basically prove you are innocent as the state is quite willing to assume otherwise) demonstrating that dates and times she said she was being "stalked" were times when I was out of state, along with other impossible scenarios she contrived. This has made a deep impression up me that there are a lot of very deeply disturbed individuals out there who are even worse off than you might detect or imagine in a counseling session. And should you come across one who wants to mess with your life for their own insanely self-indulgent motives, it is good to know an effective, kind, skillful and reasonably-priced lawyer to protect and vindicate you. Jonathan is one such attorney and I will be referring all of my clients who need legal consultation to him from now on, knowing they will be well served. I found Emily Tsai after seeing my wife’s lawyer out class my first 3 lawyers. He was able to take the documented truth and twist it into lies. The first 3 fell prey to sleazy tactics and threats of sanctions. Maybe they were afraid of a lawyer who had a Commissioner working in his law firm. Emily took him on and save me from losing potentially $2 million to the lies and tricks of the other side. She did this by not responding to lies and sleaze with lies and sleaze. She did it using the high road with good legal reasoning, good legal research, and outstanding expert witnesses.
Emily is hard working. To my objection she had me in her office late into the night to prepare for the arbitration hearing. Her husband was very patient and waited hours for her to complete the preparations.
If you have high value assets at risk in your divorce, you need to see Emily. She is well worth her fee.

I went through an extremely contentious divorce with Rene by my side and thank goodness. I could trust him always to be honest, ethical and to go after our priorities. He is a kind and empathetic human being and also never wavers in his professionalism. My case involved domestic violence which meant added complications and also meant I was even more all over the place emotionally. Rene was always, always a calm, steadying force bringing me back to center, back to integrity and refocusing me on our priorities. Which made it possible for me to advocate as well as I could for myself and my son - if I had not been able to do that it would have been a big regret for me. I imagine that is an accomplishment in most divorces. But when your ex drags you back into court over and over for years it is a major feat - he has the patience of Job. I should also mention we won almost every point, and ultimately accomplished all of our priorities. Not through snarky fighting or misleading arguments or playing on technicalities (which are a horror to experience in court). In court or mediation, Rene is not theatrical or super aggressive, he is confident, reasonable and matter of fact - from what I have witnessed this is very much appreciated by the legal professionals involved. I probably did not have the presence of mind to acknowledge it at the time - but now I feel as good about how we won as I do about winning.
The other thing people always want to know about is cost. It was not cheap, of course, it took a long time and my ex is really good at creating situations I need Rene to handle for me. But Rene has always been more than fair in his charges, accounting for every penny, and never ‘rounding up’ when he could have easily justified it. He is just as ethical in his billing as he is in his practice of law.
Clearly, I recommend him highly. I am trying to remember what I wanted to know before I started this journey. I went to Rene because my cousin (also an attorney) had seen him practice years before and was so impressed she never forgot his name. When I sat down with him he did not say everything was going to go exactly as I wanted nor did he seem resigned to it happening. I don’t like it when people ‘sell’ me by painting a best case scenario only - and there was none of that. He listened very closely and cut straight to the issues that mattered to me and presented options - which is pretty much the definition of a competent attorney. And I remember looking around his office and seeing multiple awards for ethical practice; which in conjunction with my cousin’s recommendation tells me he is well respected in the legal community. Nothing I have experienced in the intervening years has altered that first impression; it has only grown better.

Recently, I needed to revisit an extremely difficult family law issue. My previous experience with the case was terrible - including both my former representation and the opposing counsel. Additionally, the opposing party (my X-wife) has been and remains uncooperative. For these reasons, it was a difficult decision to revisit an already extraordinarily painful legal conflict.

Jillian is wonderful! She represented me for over three years; first for a dissolution of marriage, and then for a petition for modification of custody/parenting plan.
