After my disabled son’s wife filed for divorce and exploited his impairments by tricking him into signing all community property to herself - as his Power of Attorney I retained counsel. After six months of her deceptive/deterrent tactics - despite being sanctioned $1500 for them - we switched lawyers in December 2021. We retained Krista based on all of the 5-star reviews about her successfully fighting for other clients; but after ten months of giving her the benefit of the doubt, and wanting to avoid starting over with a third attorney, we ended up having a zero-star experience.
She did disclose that a few upcoming medical procedures might slow progress, but they caused major delays and seriously compromised her performance.
Due to COVID, she was working from home with no staff. Lacking support, her communications with us and the petitioner were mostly via informal emails which were often delayed. There were also significant enough errors in emails to the petitioner, that I began drafting them for accuracy myself so she could copy/paste and send them.
Due to the thousands resulting from the petitioner’s non-compliance, I told Krista that I wanted to ask for legal fees in the settlement - but she said we shouldn’t since the petitioner didn’t have an attorney, and a judge would see it as bullying.
When it came to making timely repairs to the neglected marital home to maximize profit and list it during a sellers-market bubble, Krista kept making allowances for the petitioner’s ongoing deterrent tactics, which postponed our ability to list it until the market was on the decline - diminishing potential proceeds.
Once there was an offer and a closing date set for the end of September 2022, a critical document requiring my son’s signature was emailed to her at the end of August 2022; but with only a few days til closing, our panicked real estate broker was asking where it was. When I called her about it, Krista found and forwarded it to us [with no apology for the oversight or stress/inconvenience], and we had to scramble to get it to the buyer’s broker in time.
After the sale of the house, she rescheduled a phone appointment last minute - only to no-show us at the re-scheduled time! When she missed calling by 15 minutes, I texted but got no reply. At the half-hour point, I called and left a voicemail, but she didn't call back until a few hours later. With no apology, she said that the appointment didn’t show up on her calendar, that she had been at the Verizon store all morning, so could we reschedule again! At this point, I terminated her services.
Since the majority of her 5-star reviews included her then assistant and go back to 2014 - I am posting this to save others from the frustration, stress, expense, and lost time that we experienced.

My husband and I had some problems and we had a fight. I called the police on him and they took him to jail. He was on probation at the time and I didn’t really realize that by me calling the cops on him that he would get thrown back in jail. The cops said he was resisting arrest and he wasn’t. He was just shocked and mad that I called the cops. Mr. Terrell was the best Attorney we have ever had and we’ve had several. He got the results we needed and my husband is now back home. Mr. Terrell wrote a letter to my husband’s boss and he could have lost his job. The video I took of the cops beating up my husband for no reason helped.

Although Gerardo Camacho Attorney at Law is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. In 2005, represented by Mr. Camacho, the SB County Superior Court granted Restraining Order and Protective Orders that are still standing today. I'm grateful for his compassionate and professional representation 17 years later. His distinguished dedication to survivors of domestic violence and their children was remarkable. This attorney Lisa is so unprofessional…. she emailed me telling me the other party on my case retained her and even though I gave her my attorneys information she continued to email me when I told her to stop emailing me and contact my attorney. I also had a phone conversation with her, and she told me that I was not being truthful about the things I was saying about my case which was very unethical. She does not know me from a hole in the wall, but was very judgmental. I’m in the process of filing a complaint with the board.

I just want to say James Latimer and the whole Ladimir law. Firm was great awesome from start to finish except for Sergio Monteon, who was very rude condescending and answered questions in tone not very customer service oriented, but I’d have to say Mr. Latimer and the rest of the team is awesome not only did he achieve in winning my case with Workmen’s Comp., but also went above and beyond with applying me for subsequent injuries, benefits trust fund, and also won my case at 100% disabled. I have been a client for a few years since the onset of my wc injury. Throughout my entire time being a client I have experienced good customer service from both staff and attorneys. However, their Office Manager Monroe, is very rude and unprofessional. I find this to be so disappointing that he interacts with clients is this tone. It is also unfortunate because he is a representative of the firm.

We were referred to this office by Disability Rights CA to review our case concerning termination of a lease agreement under the laws of the state of CA. While her father may have been a highly respected attorney in Humboldt County, it's clear that she does not follow in his footSteps. As someone who has witnessed this attorney's performance in court, I am appalled by her lack of professionalism and integrity. While representing the mother and grandmother of my two sons in a custody battle, she consistently relied on lies, hearsay, and irrelevant information to gain an advantage. This is especially egregious considering the serious allegations of abuse against my children, which she seemed to have no qualms about ignoring or glossing over. Her spoiled, bratty demeanor only added insult to injury. I strongly advise anyone seeking a trustworthy and ethical attorney to look elsewhere.

I had to defend myself against Rory and my child’s Mother who was arrested multiple times under the influence of drugs and alcohol, endangering my child, resisting arrest among many other charges. Rory is incredibly unethical, manipulative, will spew out dishonest statements, he will stoop to the lowest in an attempt to win. Him and Judge Elvine Kriess have no integrity whatsoever. They put their feelings and egos before protecting children, they are so pathetic, blinded by greed and starving for power. Oh yea, and it turned out she was arrested for child endangerment, DUI, violence charges...etc. once again while Rory and Judge Elvine Kreiss were pointing the finger at me the whole time while ignoring my pleas about her ongoing behavior. Rory Hanson and Gregory Elvine Kreiss are the scum of the earth.
Manipulation is when they blame you for your reaction to their toxic behavior but refuse to discuss their actions and behavior that triggered you.

Mr. Bracamontes handled a tenant - landlord law suite on my behalf back in 2011. I knew what my landlord was doing was wrong; what I didn't know was whether he actions violated California law. Michael was very upfront with the retainer costs and made no promises regarding outcome. He did feel we had a good case. So we proceeded. The process took around 6 months. Michael and his team did a very good job in keeping me informed and making sure we did not miss any steps. Eventually, we made it to court and won a significant settlement. I will not hesitate to call on Mr. Bracamontes again.

After years of feeling like a deposit that should have been returned, and was not, I feel that I was taken advantage of.
I never saw a bill only had conversations with him and he never put anything in writing.
All was well until I asked for the deposit back for my son's case, since there WAS NOT TRIAL.
He bent and stretched words and did not even have the decency to return calls or emails. Did not make complaints that he said he would regarding the conduct of the DA.
Short dude with and ego lots to prove I suppose.

Due to Mr. Perry's arrogance and incompetence, I spent three years in prison. How would I know this? I was a lawyer myself! He made several references to my race and religion and didn't want to do a lick of work. So far, he has gotten away with it; but once the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rules on this issue, he won't. In all fairness, he might be worth hiriing now, as long as it isn't a complex, white collar matter. and you can mortgage your house tro make him happy.

This man was specially appointed to represent me at my request. He turned around and got all chummy with the opposite side, sold me out and now works for them in several cases . at the end I prevailed in the litigation except the litigation he sold me out in.
