Found Todd with a little web searching while looking for an estate planning attorney. Was impressed by the Socius website, so I scheduled a consultation. After we filled out the pre-planning questionaire, Todd explained our options for moving forward. I appreciated how up-front he was with the cost of the different estate plan options. Once we made our choice, Todd put together a comprehensive set of documents, meeting with us regularly to review drafts. Once we finalized and signed everything, he gave us helpful instructions for moving forward. I retained Brian during a time of extreme duress. My son ( who has a mental illness)was charged with some outrageously over inflated and serious crimes. I spent days researching legal resources and read up on legal statutesI had no idea if my son's rights were being violated. He was locked up without bail and his court appointed attorney was just shrugging his shoulders and asking for continuances. Brian took over and immediately began to change the course of disaster. He was amazing and continues to help us clean up the legal entanglements that we have been in because of my sons mental illness. Brian met with him, explained what was happening in terms he could understand. I completely TRUST him to pay attention and continue to fight for Jared's legal rights to live a decent life, free from criminal charges caused by my calls for help for a section 12 Police to the Hospital. Every charge is a result of Law Enforcement's mishandling of him while was is in crisis. I would definitely recommend him.

In the law enforcement profession, we hope to never have to need an attorney, but one night at 11pm when I arrived at work, I found an envelope in my mailbox indicating that my agency was investigating me. The first phone call I made was to the Legal Defense Fund, and as luck would have it, Attorney Gambaccini was the lawyer handling the emergency calls to the law firm at that time.
From that night on, Attorney Gambaccini was extremely helpful in offering a different perspective on the situation I was being investigated for. I believe that with his input and guidance at each step of the way, he helped me navigate through waters that proved to be extremely challenging at the time.
It turned out that the first investigation that Attorney Gambaccini helped navigate me through was just the beginning. Over the course of the next few months, I would come to depend upon Attorney Gambaccini's feedback and knowledge many, many more times.
Through the numerous (and I mean numerous) phone calls that the two of us had, Attorney Gambaccini listened like a friend and offered help as I needed an attorney to do. A year has passed since having to utilize Attorney Gambaccini's expertise, and since successfully helping me with with my ordeal, I can say that I still keep in contact with Andy. Many qualities set Mr. Shaw apart. He has incredible attention to detail, time management, great communication, he is humble, and easy to approach. We do not need to call his office, we call his personal cellphone and email him, we like that we feel this connection with the attorney. I had been a member of the Legal Defense Fund for a number of years without ever needing to use it. That all changed earlier this year. I was involved in an internal matter in which I was accused of a crime.
I made a call the the fund and was referred to Mr. Akerson. I called his office and spoke to Michael immediately. He walked me through the initial process and calmed my fears. I can't sing the praises of Mr Berardi enough. He always made himself available, and responded to emails and phone calls almost immediately. He kept me in the loop every step of the way and I never felt that I wasn't his top priority.
He was responsible, respectful, and trustworthy. I couldn't have chosen a better attorney.

Atty Matt Karr is excellent. He spent the time to understand our need for a credit bypass trust. He explained the process in clear declarative English rather than legalese. I feel that his fee was very reasonable. He supported his documents with a video explaining everything so that I could replay it if I had questions. We spoke to other lawyers that charged more and some that charged less. It is very hard to compare prices like buying a car. I recommend that you meet with Matt before selecting an attorney. BTW trusts are his specialty not just another work product.

Dan was extremely successful in helping us in mediation with our school district. We have a son with special needs that was not being serviced appropriately in district. We initially exhausted all our own resources in attempting to get our son the most appropriate educational setting to meet his complex special needs. Unfortunately we had to hire an attorney. I don’t know what we would have done without Jason. My husband and I hired Jason to help us obtain guardianship for our disabled daughter who turned 18 years old this past December. From our initial meeting to help us understand what the guardianship process entailed, to our last meeting in court, Jason was an amazing resource and always so patient and understanding…no matter how many questions I had. My husband and I thought the final court appearance would be a simple formality, but unfortunately, we had a rather cold judge who made it a very unpleasant experience. I am the representative payee for my adult disabled son. After five years of my son being disabled and collecting disability, his Doctor and I received a form to fill out for a medical review to see if he was "still disabled." I filled this out perfectly describing my son's day to day life and impairments. Although I am a medical professional, obviously I did not do this as well as I perceived as just before Christmas 2014, we received a notice stating my son was no longer disabled and his disability payments would stop in two months. Social Security was not at all helpful and gave me the run around re: the appeal process. Sometimes Social Security employees were not nice or helpful. I knew we needed help. I researched disability attorneys and found Jason. All I can say is "Thank God." He met with both of us and asked questions about my son's disability and symptoms. My son and I provided all the answers to the review to him however Jason worded it in the manner that SSDI requires, unlike what I had done in the previous summer. He was kind, patient, and understanding. There were a few times when my emotions got the better of me, "How can they do this to us?" These were the times when Jason stood behind us and helped us stand on our own two feet. He directed us in following the instructions on the appeal as they are not easy to understand, Jason understood exactly what they were and explained them in a manner that was both understandable and helpful, never degrading. On May 6th of this year, I received the notice from disability stating that after reviewing all the information, they found my son to continue to be disabled, therefore there was no need for a hearing. Of course I would prefer my son to not be disabled. However it is what it is and I do not even want to think of how awful this denial could have been without Jason. I wish I had known him and used him to initially get disability for my son back in 2009 as that process was not pleasant and took three denials/appeals. I definitely could not have done this without his help! My husband and I are now going to be using Jason for estate planning and our wills.
