I had a great experience with Barbara Cowen during a dark time in my life. Divorce for a man is a scary time, but Mrs Cowen made me feel very comfortable and confident throughout the process. I was involved in an accident on November 9, 2024 in Paterson, NJ. My car was parked and friend in the back opened the rear driver side door. A Tesla unfortunately hit part of my door. The Tesla owner and I, exchanged information, took photographs and decided not to call the police since the damages were not warranted. The day before Thanksgiving I was received a letter from Paterson Municipal Courts that I evaded the police following the accident aka a hit and run. That was not the case at all. So I called the Torrey Law Firm for a consultation. Within two hours I received a call from Louis Keleher and immediately I knew he would help me out. He explain the process on how my case will go. Looked into my clean driving record and requested photographs proving I did not leave the scene of the accident. He was able to get my original charge that involved a 6 month suspension to a minor fine with no points!! Louis helped relieved any stress I was dealing with for the final two months of 2024. I cannot thank him enough. If you are involved in any traffic related cases. The Tormey Law Firm is the place to GO!

I am incredibly thankful for Travis and Alyssa at The Tormey Law Firm. They were able to turn a nightmare of a situation into complete and utter relief. My fiancé got arrested at EWR with a firearm in his carry-on that he completely forgot was in there. He ended up at Essex County for a week before he was released back home. The Friday morning after his arrest, and while still in custody, I decided we needed to find a lawyer and quickly. Immediately The Tormey Law Firm popped up. I was hesitant at first but within one minute of submitting an inquiry, Travis himself called me to discuss. He took time out of his day, even at home with his children, to give me a call and let me know he could help. A few minutes later I heard from Alyssa and from then on I had some hope that things would get resolved.
Following his release we were waiting on his court date to find out next steps. To our surprise, Travis had spoken with the Prosecutor and we were now heading to a full dismissal of all of the charges. The RELIEF we felt. The initial situation happened in early August and by January we had the court date and all charges were dismissed and his record completely clean. For what we thought was going to be an uphill battle, Travis and his Law Firm truly went above and beyond to correct a mistake that should have never occurred in the first place. I couldn't recommend utilizing The Tormey Law Firm enough. They're professional, incredibly informative, and without a doubt know what they are doing. Do not hesitate to call them. I am now able to get married and know my fiancé can watch our daughter grow up.

I hired a law firm prior to working with Mr. Cige and they misrepresented my case, costing me thousands. Within a short period of time working with Mr. Cige, I already began to see great progress. He is a true professional and a has a wealth of knowledge. I especially like the way he gave me a solid idea of what I could expect without candy coating anything. And his assessment was right on. He was extremely impressive in mediation. I knew that I did not have to worry about a thing. All I needed to do was follow his lead and I am so impressed with the results. Submitted a question to Mr Nappen's web site about what I felt were excessive documentation requirements requested by my local police department for a concealed carry permit renewal I applied for. I thought maybe I'll get an email response in a couple of days. To my amazement, not 5 minutes after pressing submit, I received a phone call from Mr. Nappen himself with legal advice about how best to handle my situation. Amazingly fast, personal response from the guy who knows what he's talking about when it comes to NJ firearms laws. As a firearms owner and/or concealed carrier, this is the guy you want in your corner if ever you have legal issues in this state. Highly recommend.

Gary is my attorney and was my counsel during my divorce which entailed both a custody battle and one sided demands from the other side. Throughout the entire process (my divorce was finalized two weeks ago and it began in the winter of 2023) Gary was honest, knowledgeable, comforting but at the same time he did not sugar coat anything and lastly, he is a fighter for his clients. Look, no one wants to find a lawyer. It is not awesome, and doing it, well, is daunting for those of us who aren't really accustomed to "legal" stuff.
That said, I found myself in that spot. I connected with Greg Kirschenbaum, and he really changed my mind about lawyers (on most things). He was personable, as he took the time to listen and understand the annoying details of the situation and the nuances and things that I cared about. He represented my interests well and kept me informed and comfortable with the process and events. I don't have anything bad to say about my time as a client with Greg; it was quite the opposite. If, and I doubt it, but if I find myself in that situation again, or something akin, I would call Greg before anyone I know or could look up.

My son got himself into some trouble in college a couple years ago when he was 18. We initially hired an attorney that was a friend of a family member. After viewing the discovery he told us our best option was a plea deal for 3 years in state prison! He explained that due to the way the law is written, and my son's immediate confession when questioned by police, there was nothing anyone could do to reduce that sentence. We didn't want to accept that deal so we sought different representation, but in the back of our minds we believed that attorney and were devastated. My son had never been in trouble before or since, and was extremely remorseful. I worried how 3 years in state prison would change him.
We were introduced to Mike from a police officer friend who told us that Attorney's Hartman was so good he and his fellow officers dreaded having to face them in court. Mike was empathetic from the start. He reviewed our case, listened to our concerns and got right to work. Despite the snail's pace of the courts during the pandemic, and multiple changes in the prosecutor assigned to our case, Mike was relentless in his attempts to negotiate for a better deal and kept us abreast of the situation as it evolved. He was able to have the charge reduced from a 2nd degree to a 3rd degree, and the 3 year state prison sentence reduced to 180 days in county jail. Many lawyers would be very satisfied with that achievement, but Mike didn't rest. Mike argued at sentencing for an even further reduction to no jail component, so well, in fact, that the prosecutor stated in open court that they would not appeal if the judge decided on a reduced sentence with no jail component. The judge ultimately sentenced him to 90 days in county jail followed by probation. Mike still didn't rest. Ten days later my son was released from jail upon admission into a program that Mike facilitated after sentencing. He is the reason my son will be home for the Holidays this year with a newfound gratitude for his second chance. Mike is genuine, capable, kind, diligent, compassionate, skilled, and relentless. He achieved what many other attorneys couldn't, or wouldn't, and my family is eternally grateful.

I got Eric lee as my lawyer for one of my court cases pro bono. I retained Eric as my lawyer for several court cases that I had. Which included obstruction of justice, a violation of restraining order and a burglary charge. For the obstruction of justice I just had to pay a small fine. Eric was able to get the violation of restraining order dropped down to a disorder persons contempt. Which I had to plead guilty to and received a years probation and minimal fines. For the burglary charge Eric was able to enter me into pti, pre trial intervention and I plead not guilty to the burglary accusations. So as long as I didn't get into anymore trouble it was as if the charge never happened. Which was good because I was looking at 2-5 years of jail time. I was entered into pti and received another year of concurrent probation and $125 of fines. I would highly recommend Eric lee for any criminal cases you might have. He was very helpful in my court cases and kept me out of prison.
