If you have stumbled upon this review because you have received that letter from the Alabama Board of Nursing go ahead and stop here and submit your name and number for a consultation. If you have ever been exhausted and frustrated feeling like being a nurse could be a thankless existence, I’m sure it’s no comparison to the weight of receiving that letter. This was how I felt. I wanted to walk. I didn’t care to fight because I had already been defeated. I found Mr. Kreps on YouTube in the middle of the night while I was hopelessly scrolling for outcomes and judgements when nurses face the Board. It gets dark reading those stories. His story wasn’t. You learn his mother went back to school later in life to become a nurse and he has seen what we do for that license.
Peggy called me a few hours later when they opened and immediately took action. I got step by step instructions and a general idea of what to expect. If I had questions or calls from the board, Peggy immediately responded and guided me on what to do. I don’t intend for this to sound gimmicky but if you think you can’t afford representation you can’t afford NOT to. You may think that the what you can offer them on a payment plan is laughable but I promise you that you’ll be surprised. We have all heard the horror stories and I was filled with debilitating dread knowing that the allegations on this grand scale was unlike any fight I’ve ever had to face. When it involves DEA and accusations of fraud you tend to replay this nightmare and your uncertain future over and over in your head. I got the call today that Mr. Kreps reached full settlement with the board and I do not have to appear or carry this another day of my life. STOP googling. STOP looking for statistics. STOP considering bargaining with the investigators that are calling. Get on the phone and under the guidance of this law office. They’re making such a difference in the nursing world.
Thank you so much for everything your office done for me and facing the giants for us.

On February 21st, 2019, a large pickup truck speeding through a parking lot in Huntsville, AL broadsided my car, totaling it and causing serious, multiple injuries to me. The initial court case was scheduled in September, 2019. Four continuances by the defense delayed due process until late 2023. A settlement offer concerning my uninsured motorist insurance was negotiated by my initial attorney. I refused the low-ball offer and the attorney withdrew from the case telling me, “it would be crazy not to accept that offer” among other disparaging comments.
After calling several firms which rejected my case, I was referred to Drake Law Firm by an attorney friend. Attorneys Mr. Whitt Drake and Mrs. Mary Amari Bruce reviewed my case files and decided to represent me if they could get a continuance. It was granted and Mary Amari Bruce, attorney took the lead. I had a few telephone conversations with her over the next year concerning all the documented facts of the accident, depositions, and my medical records. She asked me what amount I would settle the case for and to write a short summary of how I was affected by the accident.
In summary, Mary Amari Bruce, Attorney presented the case to the lawyer for my insurance company in an intelligent manner that persuaded him to accept our demand to settle prior to the upcoming court hearing. The settlement amount increased from the previous lawyer’s low ball of 19% to Mary Amari Bruce’s settlement of 86.5% of my UIM insurance coverage. The facts were always there, it just took one year and getting away from the good ole boy network to a smart female Birmingham lawyer!

Mr. Bell was so greatly appreciated for his work that he did for my husband & I. He was very prompt in completing the job in hand and when it came time to sign papers, he made himself available for our convenience. My family hired Attorney Maxwell to represent my son that was accused of murder in a case, in which, he was one of the victims. My son had been incarcerated 19 months and the previous attorney we had hired before Atty. Maxwell did not appear to be diligently working for my son’s release. After havingAtty. Leroy Maxwell charge me $15,000 and never showed up to court. I’m assuming after looking through his Reviews he has a very good team that monitors his social media.
In fact after he took my $15,000 I could get a hold of him in no way it was only after hiring a new lawyer I found out I had a court case the next day. I was facing Over 30 years in the man did not bother to tell me I had a court date coming up. I was in jail for six months. I only met him once and that was the day I hired him. I could never get him on the phone nor could my wife. He refused to answer any questions at anytime. We tried to contact him. He act as if we were a nuisance. My we only tried to call Five or six times after we hired him.
As I said, I said in In jail for six months five of which he was my lawyer, and I was unable to get a hold of him. Thankfully, I was introduced to another lawyer who got me out of jail three days after hiring him.
Chad Barnett was his name Not recommend him enough. I was facing 30 years he Stayed in constant contact. If I could not reach him directly on the phone, he would always call me back within an hour or two the same day.
Again Maxwell was unreachable. I sat in jail for 5 1/2 months and talked to him twice. Again, one being the day I hired him and the next time I Heard from him was four months later when he sent an assistant to the county jail for me to sign some paperwork. After I heard Barnett, I was out of jail in two weeks during those two weeks he came to visit me in jail Twice and made sure I was aware of all my court appointments.
Also, every time I went to court, I heard someone looking for Maxwell their lawyer who had not showed up. The judge at that time even told the client that if he were her, he would hire a new lawyer because he gets this constantly with Maxwell. I’ve heard from other lawyers that he is a good lawyer. If it’s a case, he believes he can win and he can get a lot of money out of. But he will not be there for you. The way he should. Again, he charged me $15,000 never once went to court with me and never offered me a fraction of my money back. He took the whole $15,000. I would search the Internet for anybody but him I promise you he is not the lawyer his social media pages make him out to be. I will get my money back

In rereading the posts on here. I personally had many similarities to the challenges people spoke to on these reviews. I never met the attorney in person. Like others have mentioned they take your money and you have to chase them down then they leave you. In my opinion my experience with this firm is the epitome of the negative stigma on the Industry. Would not recommend.

Mr. Sears cared about my child’s need. Deafness with a child using listening and spoken language is a low-incidence disability that school systems are often unfamiliar with. He was willing to learn about the needs specific to my child and backed our family to ensure my child’s needs were met. Shane was able to reach a solution with our school system which provided my daughter with the necessary supports, including a listening and spoken language specialist, in her school. He knows special ed law and guided me through each step. I’m a well-versed parent who works in special education, as well, but Shane accomplished what I, our advocate, and numerous professionals couldn’t in making the school system realize the unique needs in LSL communication. Absolutely wonderful to work with… personable, but fierce when fighting for the rights of his clients.

After consulting with several well known attorneys in the area I decided to put my trust in Mr. Ketcham. He laid the facts out straight with me and explained in detail what obstacles we had in front of us. He did not make outlandish promises which is what I saw in other attorneys.
