Jennifer Spyker recently and successfully represented me in an important case. Ms. Spyker was clearly knowledgeable with highly relevant experience in the law relevant to my case and she worked efficiently and professionally on my behalf. She presented options to me, with a very frank and honest discussion of the pros and cons of each to allow make the best choice possible. She kept me informed every step of the way, was responsive to all of my questions and always accessible to me. I never felt that she was too busy for me.

They will treat you like mushrooms. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM, THEY WILL SCREW YOU. They are con artists. They will make claims of what they can do and will not fulfill. Made claims of “we can” re-litigate previous trials, record being expunged, rights being restored, resigned from the case before doing so and did not argue anything at a review hearing due to who the judge was, which was a recent ADA during my case. That is a conflict . They will side with the prosecution to where it makes no sense and mind screws you. I offered to write down events prior of trial date for evidence and he denied it, “it’ll be okay” he claimed. They will inform you of a plea bargain they’ve been working on last minute of offering you a bargain so you can not find counsel elsewhere. Claimed the victim’s untruthfulness was irrelevant, but yet I was prosecuted to her untruthful claims. The State knew of her criminal acts and they did not report it to the Court, nor did my attorney inform the Court of the State’s misconduct, negligence and criminal accessory. Claimed he did his job by keeping me out of jail while completely sacrificing my criminal record with something I’m not even guilty of and is not eligible for an expungement.

Mr. Thompson got my daughters simple assault DV case dismissed first day in court!!! And her record will be expunged! He is a very professional, caring, matter of fact, no nonsense attorney! About 10 years ago, I hired Gregory Plumide as my attorney. I thought he did a great job representing me. I was never in trouble with the law and always followed the rules. I was petrified the first time I went to court because I was never in trouble before. I wasn't happy with the child support that I was receiving because I compared it to others and felt that it wasn't the same as others but it did help me get by since my husband left the state and he made about 3 times as much as I did. When my husband initially left, I wasn't receiving any child support until I followed up with court. My ex made an excuse and delayed coming to court which the court honored so it delayed me getting child support due to his job. My attorney, Gregory Plumide at the time did not tell me to file a motion for child support so I did not get paid from my ex for all of the previous months that I was on my own. I did not know that I could do this until my ex-husband did this to me years later. I did not get paid child support for 7 months while I had both kids and he did not have any kids, 10 years ago. I was struggling finding a full time job since I was only a substitute teacher and did not have connections. Gregory Plumide did not support me with his at all. He handed me off to Michael Romano which I was also disappointed with Michael down the road. The judge at the time also did not catch this. I was on food stamps and not making ends meet with 2 kids at the time. Years later, my son moved to live with his father, this is when I found out about the motion to file for child support. My ex-husband filed before my son even moved in with him trying to take an extra month of child support away from me. He stopped paying me child support years ago and Michael did help me with this so the money was garnished out of my ex husband's paycheck so I continued to get extra money from my ex until we were seen by the judge. I bought a house in a safe place for my kids so I have expenses that has not changed since my son moved in with his father. I thought since I didn't get any child support for months in the beginning of our divorce, that I would not have to pay my ex back. The same judge that never granted me backpay of child support while I was on food stamps and not making ends meet, granted my ex the back pay and I now have to pay him back. I was told that he had my son so I shouldn't be getting all that money. I understand that but what about when I suffered for the first year of our separation and he didn't pay me what he was supposed to. Her response was that it was along time ago. I would have understood this if I had help in the beginning so now I am suffering then and now. I would have know the law and prepared myself, if Mr. Plumide helped me the correct way, in the beginning and I received the child support that I was entitled to from the start, this divorce would have been easier on me. Please make sure that you know the law, if you have never been to court before or in trouble with the law. In addition, hopefully Mr. Plumide is providing you with all of the information since he is now a criminal defense attorney! I learned the hard way that at the end of the day, you need to protect yourself and look over all documents!

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with this law firm. Despite multiple attempts, Matt Malone has not responded to my emails or phone calls. They made an error on a deed, and now they are refusing to correct their mistake. The lack of communication and accountability is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend their services—save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Every 5 star here in from 2017 and before! I hired David Lange to handle a financial settlement in 2020 to prevent the suspension of my license. Before paying him he told me what services the payment would include and I agreed and payed him that day. He told me for months that he was working on it and these things take awhile. I was naïve at the time and said okay. 7 months later i called him to request an update and he told me that i needed to stop bombarding him and that he would let me know an update. fast forward over 2 years later and i try and order a drivers license for myself and i cant due to my license being suspended since Sep 2020. David Lange took my money and did not do one thing to help or "work on my case". The company that he was supposed to call to settle the case has no record of any lawyer calling them. I had to do his job for him 2 years later! He has now blocked my calls and promises to set up meetings (because i requested multiple meeting to resolve this. because he did not provide me with one service he said he would do) and never follows through. He is always "in court". NEVER HIRE HIM. HE IS A THEIF AND INCONSIDERATE HUMAN.

I hired the firm in December 2023, I was really excited at first but as the months went by I started to feel as if they were incompetent to handle my auto accident case. I would be told one thing and then 1-2 days later I would be told something else. Noone seems to be on the same page. I was given a date that the case would be settled only for that day to come and be told something completely different. It was always "we're waiting on this paperwork, once it was received it was well we have to wait for this paperwork " very unprofessional and indecisive. Going on 5 months and I'm still waiting for case to settle. I was told it would possibly be another week to 2 months. At this point just drop me and my claim. For a fee of 33⅓%, I had higher expectations! truly disappointed 😞 and stressed at this point. I feel like I did more work than they did.

Complete waste of time and money.
We hired Mr. Jarvis for a child support case that he said would be cut and dry. We should have known better when we pulled up to the strip mall his office is in and especially when his conference room door would not close all the way. Almost 12 months later and he has produced no results. We are literally still at the starting line. He takes days to respond to emails or phone calls.
Finally in November we had our court date, we take the day off of work, sit there in court, come to find out our court date was cancelled. HE HAD NO CLUE.... Fast forward to February, still no court date, turns out he had never requested a new court date after the last one got cancelled. We sent an email (because he is never available to talk on the phone) to inquire how he has dropped the ball so badly in our case. His response was that he is resigning from the case and will refund the remaining balance from our account. We were refunded 1/3 of what we paid up front. All of our money spent on one court appearance, emails and returning phone calls. We asked for an itemized receipt on how he wasted our money and of course he cannot produce one. Now we have to hire a real lawyer to clean up after him.

Mr. Jarvis was my court appointed lawyer, and I don't think I could had hired a better one myself. My family and I was almost ripped apart by the state of NC for no reason at all... only based on what they "thought" happened. The states social services department has way too much power for their own good. My lawyer Mr. Jarvis... went above and beyond in the court room and got our family reunited. I couldn't be more appreciative of him!

I sought out Attorney Shapack after requiring legal assistance for a claim against a negligent housing entity. Especially given the case was my first experience with the legal process, I was very concerned about making the right choice. My first meeting with Attorney Shapack quelled those fears: She took copious notes, asked several questions, and was notably very patient and detail-oriented with regards to understanding my case and how to best approach it.
Attorney Shapack was very professional, accessible when I had questions, and provided constant updates as the case developed. My daughter used Brown & Associates, PLLC after I had my stroke. It was not easy for her to find an attorney to put together estate planning documents for her to handle my affairs after I was laid up in a hospital for quite awhile. They also handled my Social Security claim and I was able to have that completed in about 8 months which I hear is pretty quick for having a claim approved through the SSA. Worked with this attorney in a divorce situation. Average investment in time on his part. A good attorney should get you more...not cost you more. Not overly impressed. I’ve witnessed attorneys that are hungrier and more motivated. This attorney is worn out and should probably retire. I would suggest anyone with a child custody case and alimony riding on high stakes go elsewhere.
