Manny Penton is THE attorney to choose if youre in Tampa, Pasco, or Pinellas. He has a great professional relationship with everyone in the court room because he is very respected in the community and that makes a huge difference in a case. I was charged with DUI. Although the case against me was weak and circumstantial all other attorneys I consulted were talking about entering a plea. Roger said straight away that I have a case. Having been through a trial I knew I had no worries. Result was a no lo pros.

I had an attorney already who was telling me there was nothing she could do but get me county time. I went to Roger the day before court and hired him to keep me from being incarcerated. He did exactly as he said he would do and kept me out of jail. Truly a blessing and if I am ever in need again he will be the first stop I make. He will do what he says and will not lead you on. Jeremy Simon is a class act. What a true gentleman and amazing attorney! I was referred to Mr. Simon by a colleague of his and mutual friend of ours. I was in a state of fear, worry & doubt when I initially called Jeremy's office. His assistant answered, super friendly and professional, and we played phone tag for a day or two due to conflicting schedules. I felt so comfortable after speaking to Jeremy on the phone for less than 5 minutes. I could feel the passion in his voice that he truly enjoys what he does and is AMAZING at his job! We spoke for about 18 minutes and he gave me the best advice money could buy - except he didn't even charge me!! He explained his fees and told me if I needed him, he would be there for me, but his honesty really blew me away! He instructed me what to do and sure enough when I went to court, representing myself for a misdemeanor, the DA looked at me and asked where my lawyer was or if I wanted a public defender. I smiled and confidently said, "I'm innocent. I would like to take care of this matter today and not waste any of the court's time." Fast forward 5 minutes later - charge dropped! Maybe I got lucky...but we create our own luck. Jeremy helped me gain confidence and reassured me he was in my corner if my first court date didn't go as planned. Well, my first court date was also my last, and it went better than planned! I truly cannot thank Mr. Simon enough - I even offered him money after court when I followed up with him, and he told me verbatim, "It is my pleasure to be of service to others, it's not always about the money. I am so glad everything worked out favorable." If I ever need a lawyer, I know who I am calling.

I consulted Rex Blake on behalf of a family member. He met with my cousin and my cousin decided he wanted Rex Blake to be his attorney. I then employed Mr. Blake on behalf of my cousin. We felt Mr. Blake was truthful, very clear with respect to possible consequences, and proactive in forming s defense. Attorney Rex Blake currently represents me and has done so for a little over a year. Rex is an elite Attorney who is highly respected by his colleagues.
I was looking at spending time in prison when I retained him. The Prosecution was not budging and things were not looking good, so I began to get my affairs in order to prepare for the looming fact that I would be gone for several years.
However, Rex managed to negotiate an alternative sentence that enabled me the chance to serve my sentence without having to leave my family for several years. He also had two separate warrants (for the same case) for my arrest withdrawn after taking the time to speak with the Judge and Prosecutor. Both warrants were technical violations while on Probation. I didn't spend one minute in jail, with the exception of the original arrest, and I was able to walk out of the court without being arrested again.
As a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, there is a term called "command presence". The term defines it as "The ability to project your position as one of authority in a professional sense, to others in your environment. How you are perceived by those around you." That hits the nail right on the head.
With that being said, Rex is a skilled negotiator, exercises precise attention to detail, and knows the law like the back of his hand. I know that sounds funny to say since he's an Attorney, but you'd be surprised how little some Attorneys know.
Rex has had my best interest in mind since the day that I hired him. Whether it's good, bad, or ugly, Rex is honest.

Mr. Sandefer was hired to help our daughter in a drug trafficking case. As you can imagine this was a very stressful and frightening situation. He spoke with me via phone (free consultation) listening to the details, he felt he would be able to help with this case. We hired him, he was very easy to talk to, he keeps you informed every step of the way as to details of the case, he is easy to reach and returns calls promptly. In the end he was able to reduce a mandatory prison sentence to probation. (of course there is mitigating factors) but he did not only help us, our daughter now has a second chance to fix the company she keeps! This was our first time needing an attorney, we could not of gotten anyone better than Mr. Sandefer. If you are facing a similar situation, make the call. You will not be disappointed. He is honest, caring and very direct. We are very grateful to have been able to retain Mr. Sandefer in this situation. If you read this review then you are probably in the same boat I was - charged with a felony and bombarded by referral. I chose Mr. Sandefer over all other friends and family referrals due to the fact that Larry knows the Pinellas County Court system inside and out. His experience speaks for itself!
Larry took me on and cut through the court system like a surgeon. He filed motions with blazing speed, trickled the Prosecution testimony and evidence when case timing dictated it, and finally won the day for me by getting my felony case dismissed!
Larry is a master at Criminal Defense! Not only are his tactics brilliant but he also talked me back from the ledge a few times when I felt things weren't going my way.
The only thing I feel bad about with Larry as my attorney is that he didn't charge me more. I feel like I stole his services from him for the price I paid.

A number of years ago, when the sheriff's department in Pinellas Co. was arresting people for things like having overdue library books, I fell afoul of "the law." (My son had a life threatening injury and, as I had no insurance -- I'm the pay as you go type -- Mease Dunedin attempted to "dump" him. I raised hell and got arrested for "disorderly conduct." Two days later I was arrested for "obstructing a criminal child abuse investigation" because I wouldn't leave my kids alone with some strange woman from the "state."
Mr. Howie advised me on this, competently, of course, but most importantly, it was a time of great stress and he demonstrated himself to be a good human being. Not too many lawyers like that.

I hired Mr. Lykes to handle a personal injury case that was a result of a car accident. I was fairly young when it happened so I was pretty over my head when it came to legal matters. The whole process took about two years and throughout the entire process, I was informed about what was going on. Whenever I had questions I called his office and if he wasn't available at the moment, his secretary would relay the message and he would quickly get back to me. If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy Attorney that has your back no matter what the charge, stop looking and hire Mr. Wise to represent you. I've never been in trouble in my past but due to a situation I had officers decided to come to my home and arrest me. This was a scary time of my life and I had no idea what to do. When I was booked in at the local county jail, I made my one phone call to my father asking him to find me representation while I'm in jail. My father did his research and immediately started looking for the best representation. He called quite a few 10 rated criminal attorneys and all were nice but wanted to discuss fees immediately. When my father got in touch with Mr. Wise, their was no discussion of the fees, instead Mr. Wise offered to go see me while in jail. Mr. Murtha helped me with my DUI case. I got a DUI in August 2015 and he just settled it in January 2017.
