I was in a pinch. I mean I was in a lot of trouble. I went to talk to the DA without a lawyer and it was horrible. I hired Chris and he worked miracles, but what makes him so good is, that I thought I had a great deal and was happy as could be. It wasn’t good enough for him though. He definitely fights for his clients, and gets the best possible outcome.

Rachel Oliver is the best attorney I've ever had. She was working for the Jefferson County Public Defender's Office at the time. This was my fourth DUI in a lifetime , My last DUI was 20 years ago. I went to AA and treatment and I have been sober for over 2 and 1/2 years. She believed I took responsibility for my actions and I was ready to take the punishment I deserved. I was also looking at a extensive jail sentence, but I ended up with a much shorter sentence. I have had other attorneys over the years that I actually hired and paid. I have never seen or heard of a public defender attorney fighting so hard for their client. I know they are so overwhelmed with clients.. but despite that she spent a lot of time meeting with me and treated me with respect and courtesy. Rachel really cares about all her clients . I feel I owe her so much. I would hire her for anything at any time. I have recommended her to anyone I know that needs an attorney. I would never hire any other attorney except for her! She goes to bat for you, and fight as hard as she can for you. She really, really listens to what you have to say. I could go on and on how great she is , but I would run out of room. A year and a half ago, my 19-year-old daughter was arrested and initially charged with 18 charges, one of which carried a mandatory sentence of life without parole. I am so glad we hired Rachel. Her and her team worked so hard for her, overturning every stone, peeling back every layer. She fought for my daughter to the very end and we were so fortunate that through her dedication, my daughter was sentenced to probation. Rachel is truly passionate about what she does, and her work and results are a direct reflection of that. She is kind, straightforward, honest, has great people skills, great communication skills and she does not fear or avoid hard work. Bill is an excellent attorney who helped me through a high-conflict divorce with his strategic and calm approach. He is very patient and thinks before he reacts. He never leaves you guessing and openly shares information he receives from the other attorney's involved. One thing that I really liked about Bill is that throughout my entire case I always understood what the worst case scenario could be. He never once mislead me to believe we would win the case or any given dispute would be in my favor. I valued his transparency. He knows what he is doing when it comes to family law. Bill was a great help and resource after my divorce as my ex-wife wanted to fight me on everything for our son. He takes his time to make sure he has every resource available for him to review and makes sure he helps make the right choice in your case.
This case was a long one and Bill kept me update on any communications that came from the other attorney. We always worked through what I was requesting and making sure every detail was covered before it was filed with the court. My ex-wife used two attorney's to help fight against what I was wanting for our son. Bill is very reasonable when he has open communication with other attorneys.
In the end... Bill being very calm and patient helped grant what I was trying to get for my son
I would recommend Bill any time and would use him again in the future if I ever need it. At least sit down with him so he understands what your direction is.

I first contacted Thomas Ridgely in 2018 as I was going through a very uncomfortable divorce. My ex-wife's family had a lot of money and power behind and it was just me I felt defeated already. So at my mother's insistence I lookup up an attorney to consult with I was lucky enough to get Thomas Ridgely, it completely changed my outlook. It was very honest my first consultation didn't cost me a cent he told me what my options were after I hired him he got to work immediately he was easily accessible always return my phone calls. I'm disabled and he often made arrangements to be able to meet me at my convenience it was a long drawn-out process a division of property. Long story short is he checked them at every turn and soon my ex was willing to settle without even having to go to court anymore. I hired Mr. Ridgely to handle an insurance claim for me after a car accident. He took care of it quickly and got more for me than the insurance company initially offered.

I am an activist for the poorest, least represented people in society and I have known Nancy since she was a public defender. She is a brilliant tactical attorney at trial and she is very well received when it comes to negotiating positive outcomes with district Attorneys. Nancy has a compassion and empathy that really tunes her in to the clients personality and she very quickly grasps the critical dynamics of relationships and circumstances of a case and she sorts out the truth and presents it to the court in persuasive terms. not everyone is innocent, and Nancy is very compassionate and she negotiates outcomes that are fair and positive for the client and the court. Nancy keeps people out of jail and minimizes their time in the system and the system can be very unfair without Nancy to guide you through it. She has also gone to bat for people on probation to be allowed to use medical marijuana with a prescription, particularly people with HIV who only get relief from marijuana use and nothing else. It took a lot of guts for her to advocate for changes to probation in Boulder County to allow people with medical conditions to use medical marijuana, it was a very edgy subject at the time. Nancy has worked on important cases and important issues without regard for her personal compensation many many times. I recently learned when I sent her a new client that she is finally a partner in a firm and I want to say it is about time Nancy got PAID! I have extensive experience with very tough people in the justice system in Colorado, I know the group of top attorneys in Colorado very well, and Nancy is absolutely the best. If you are in trouble, she is your savior, I've seen her work her magic for everyone I have ever sent to her and there have been many. Thanks for everything you do Nancy. Peace

I interviewed 4 attorneys to handle my case. The first 3 attorneys spent 15-20 minutes with me on the phone explaining what I was facing and how they would defend me; each then invited me to their office for a 30 minute meeting, presumably at which point they would ask for my signature for their representation.
Nancy spent an hour with me on the phone without any charge or expectation that she would represent me. She explained every detail of what I was facing and what was the most likely successful outcome. She was far more detailed than the others. She allowed me to ask a lot of questions. And when we were done with the phone consultation, she said, "I know you're talking with other attorneys. If you want to proceed with me, let me know." Choosing Nancy was easy because she gave me her best without expecting anything in return.
As Nancy represented me throughout the process, I got the same treatment. She communicates in a very timely manner. She understands how to navigate the system to her clients' benefit. Knowing that a court-ordered treatment program would be part of the judge's decision, she got me going in that early. She took a personal interest in my family situation. Everything played out as she said it would, and I received the best outcome that was possible given the situation.
I am very thankful that I found Nancy to represent me in this unwanted situation. I would recommend her to anyone facing similar.

Mitch Geller defended me in an agreement dispute with a real estate company in the early 90's. He was so much better than the other attorney it was embarrassing. He won the case for me, and always advised me to keep the case in perspective. The second case he won for me was a complaint that was filed by my HOA. He was, once again, amazing in court. To watch him perform on my behalf was seriously an honor. He didn't bother me with minutiae, as I am a "micro manager". He told me to trust him, and leave the details to him. He brought up issues that I would never have thought of. He was brilliant. We won the case, hands down. No contest.
I work with attorneys in my business, for my personal requirements (wills, etc) for my clients, but Mitch is who I chose to defend me the two times I had to go to court as a defendant. I would recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you for allowing me to offer my opinion.

Doug Jewell represented me in a complex criminal case in which false charges were filed against me, a police officer. In 31 years of law enforcement experience, I have never seen a better trial attorney. Doug was extremely detail oriented and missed nothing. In the court room, he was able to articulately make reasonable arguments and examine witnesses thoroughly. His trial preparation was excellent and he was responsive to all of my needs and ideas. I had an extremely high conflict divorce. During the nearly year long nightmare, Barre went above and beyond in handling my case. While my ex was largely able to isolate my young children from me for the entire divorce, in the end my young children got a better parenting plan than was recommended by the PRE and it will ramp up to 50/50. I only wish my ex had hired a competent lawyer, as her lawyer made things far worse than just the malicious behavior of my ex did.

I have a very high-conflict post-divorce situation involving my vulnerable children. My family and I call Barre, "our Super hero." Barre is a human being first with a heart of gold for children and families. As I was a wreck, Barre "cut to the chase" and helped me navigate a very emotionally difficult situation. I have worked with several different attorneys over the last 10 years dealing with parenting and post-divorce issues. Barre has been the best by far. I never had a need for an attorney before, but David Greenberg came highly recommended so I put my life in his hands. He was very forthcoming with information and what to expect. I found myself in a situation where I needed an attorney and actually called David Greenberg for a recommendation because I thought my litigation was a different field than I knew he practiced. He informed me of all of his qualifications and I choose to work with him. I highly recommend David Greenberg and the quality people in his office. He (and his partner) went through REAMS of documentation keeping clear the detailed information that was useful to my case. Mr Levy represented me in a Federal misdemeanor charge. He was very knowledgeable about Colorado and Federal law pertaining to my case. I was well informed through e-mail, phone calls and face to face throughout all of it. During court appearances Mr Levy was very professional, curtious, ambitious and ready to fight for me. This was a very stressful time as I could have lost my career license if I was charged, not to mention all the additional costs and classes I would have had to take. Pretty impressive considering my.record and how hard the da had worked to put me away. Very charismatic. Charles was referred to me by a mutual friend. He has represented me in two cases[DUI and criminal tampering]. For the first one, we got the deal that we were hoping for and the second one was dismissed.
One thing that I liked about having Charles represent me was the fact that he puts aside enough time to listen to your case and any doubts/questions/opinions that you may have about the case. He is always available via email or office visit or even over the phone. He also gets to the point and the best possible ways to tackle the case rather than diverging from the issue. He doesn't beat around the bush.
He charges very reasonably as well. I would highly recommend him.

Its hard to find a good lawyer, I have wasted thousands over the years. Let me tell you why I believe Mr Gentry is the best in town. I had a warrant filed against me for renting a piece of equipment they said i never returned. I called 9 lawyers and they all told me the same thing. That my ONLY OPTION was to go turn myself in at the jail and pay bail($600) and then they could help me once it goes to court. I had a perfectly clean record and couldn't believe it so I kept calling. Mr. Gentry took care of the problem over the phone with minimal effort. Not to mention all the taxpayers dollars he saved by not sending me to court.

If you're involved in a high conflict situation, Courtney will sort out the drama and calmly present a case that a judge will be able to follow. Given the flak often present in divorce cases locally thanks to incompetent "advocates" and such, a lawyer who can filter the BS and present reality to the court, enabling our often easily confused local judges to see through the smoke is worth the fee. Courtney helped me get through a not-so-fun divorce. As tough and stressful as a divorce can be, she took the lead and handled everything. I was able to sit by the pool and drink Margaritas and live relatively stress-free knowing Courtney was on my side. Mark Johnson is not only an excellent attorney he is also a good man. He educated me thru the entire process from receiving a federal grand jury subpoena all the way to trial. We dug in and fought the government all the way and let me tell you it was not easy. When faced with a situation like this you and your attorney need to be able to focus and stay focused. Mark got to know our case inside and out. When we finally got to trial he was well prepared and had me as prepared as possible to sit as a defendant in the federal court system. He not only allowed but encouraged me to participate in the defense of my case. When I had a thought or suggestion he listened as though I was a 30 year veteran in criminal defense. I hired Susan Halloran to represent me concerning a difficult divorce case, and was more than pleased with the results, and Susan made sure that I was treated fairly. Then when I was accused of criminal mischief by my wife, during my divorce process, Susan handled that issue as well. She kept me from needing 2 attorneys. And when I was arrested as a result, Susan dropped what she was doing and immediately, got me out of jail. If that wasn’t enough, she also represented me on a separate case where crossing timelines/court dates of both cases could have caused me to violate a probationary period.
This whole event was going on in conjunction with my having a life changing medical issues. Susan made me focus on the help she needed from me. Susan should be charging much more than she does, however she cares about her clients, and I can tell you that she did much more work than she charged me for. And also let me do some footwork, that saved her time and lessened my fees. I felt cared about…
My retainer was spent quickly, because it was used to fulfill court requirements in setting up my case. I imagine that’s why they refer to it as a retainer. I got expert help, but wasn’t charged as such. The way Susan streamlined all these issues within several court cases, simultaneously, saved me thousands of dollars. And she kept an innocent man out of jail, and put his life back into the most manageable financial condition possible.
That being said, I can tell you from my perspective that I was impressed by Susan’s level of organization, professionalism, as well as her attention to detail. (I am Retired IT/IBM). Ms Halloran represented our family during a difficult time when options were serious and confusing. Ms Halloran's expertise brought us the best possible results. I cannot think more highly of a human being than I do of Erica Anderson.
She was never my actual legal representation so I can't speak to that. But what I can speak to is that Erica is a genuine, quality human being that cares about people. And she would be my first choice as a defense attorney in a heartbeat.
I called almost every single law office in Denver, scared, trying to get through to anyone, leaving messages asking for legal advice. Not even for defense advice, but as to what I should do about a really scary boyfriend situation. I paid a hundred bucks just to talk to someone at a different firm for 10 minutes who said there was nothing I could do. And I kept getting back receptionist emails like "Sorry. We don't handle those types of cases, just call the police."
Erica Anderson is the only person that called me back. At 6pm on a Friday. Just to help walk me through the next steps I should take. Kind of embarrassing but she probably listened to me cry for at least an hour.
