I was arrested and taken to jail with a DWI . I’ve never had any convictions or been in that situation before so everything was new to me. Not only to mention I’m a DACA holder, so everything and anything could hurt my status.As a young adult is hard to be taken serious due to our age.We still want this matter taken care off the best way possible because our future is on the line. Efrain was very professional and what I like to call “ The Goat” he took care of business. After going to court for almost 1.5 yrs he always made sure I knew everything was going to be handle in the best way possible. And finally it did, my DWI was dropped to a lesser charge and I was able to keep my DACA. My case was quite difficult due to my immigration status. Although I am in the process of fixing through my wife, probation was a risky option. Going to report to probation would risk me getting deported. Mr. Sain handled my case better than anyone else could have. He negotiated with the DA's and got me time served for one night that I spent in jail. Awesome attorney!

Mr Bogen was assigned my son's case as a public defender in Kaufman county back in July of 2022. My son faced serious charges that sadly he was guilty of. However the focus of Mr Bogen from day one was to get my son the help he needed to get over his addictions and live a successful life without this mistake being held over my son's life forever. When Kaufman county refused to help my son, Mr Bogen fought them hard and got them to dismiss the charges in a short 2 months. He also gave a dose of reality to my son's mom and made her realize that she had to step up or see her first born in prison for up to 40 years.
He went above and beyond and got the best possible outcome for my son. He fought hard for a client that the county was paying for, at no point did I feel like he was not fighting 100% with all of his tools to win.
My only regret is he does not handle Family Law cases.

Going into my sons case I was praying for the best but prepared for the worse. No matter what day or time if we called Mr. Bogen and he couldn’t answer us right away he would text right away that he was in the middle of something and he kept his word by always calling back. I want to recognize the best attorney on this planet, Joseph is definitely God Sent . He worked so hard on my brothers case in Kaufman County, not only did he bring everything to light and laid it all out for the jury to see he used facts and told the story of what happened that night. I was so amazed how sharp and very attentive he was during witness testimonies and punched holes in every story that was told by the prosecution. I’ve always heard that court appointed lawyers work for the system to try to get the defendant lesser time, but not Jospeh he fights for his clients until the end spending countless hrs getting prepared. There were many instances where the service was above and beyond, ex: I had issues with my interlock device for a short time and she cared enough to help by letting her IID contact know about the issue. Also, at the end, she got my interlock device removal granted, but I did not got the removal papers on the court date by mistake. She and her team followed up personally and got the papers to me from the court the very next day!!
She cares about her clients enough and I felt no different and I am really very pleased with her service. I had attorneys for other things in my past such as immigration matters and others, and from my own little experience I can say that she is definitely in her own league, at the very top. I wish my other attorneys could at least be half good as her.

Ms sallye was extremely fast and straight forward. When I told her everything I was hearing from other lawyers, she called bs and told me she could help me. Russ, Michelle and their office staff assisted me in resolving a complicated felony DWI case. Let me just say, this was the most stressful time of my entire life; when you have a pending legal charge, you spend every day in limbo- feeling scared and uneasy about what the future may or may not hold. I am unsure if I could have made it through those months without the help of their office. As a local business owner and single parent, my life was completely chaotic, even before this added stressor. Russ and Michelle were incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, reassuring and FAST; if I had any question, I could always just shoot over an email and expect a response within hours, sometimes minutes. I highly recommend Winocour law if you are ever in an auto accident. I was first introduced to Jonathon Winocour about 20 years ago when my sister was hit by a drunk driver. He handled her case against him. Jonathon Winocour won my sister the full settlement. A couple years later I was in an auto accident which lead to serious spinal injury. All thanks to Mr. Pete Schulte! Never having been in a predicament with the law, I was incredibly sacred and nervous when I walked into Mr. Schulte's office for my initial meeting. However, I walked out feeling relieved. He assured me of his goal to have my case dismissed, all while making it clear what to expect in any event. And thereafter all communication was very prompt and direct. Due to Covid my case was pending for a long period, but Mr. Schulte never failed to personally provide a quick response or update. Either way, know this: if Sheridan is your advocate, you will get the best advice and support possible. She can’t make magic happen, but she knows how to navigate rapids and help people feel comfort through the stress.
Here are some qualities everyone should know about Sheridan:
Sheridan can work in Dallas or Collin County, and she KNOWS HOW TO REACH OUT AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS with people (including prosecutors). Apparently, so much of this criminal justice process is about making connections with people and trying to work within the system. That makes sense, but knowing when to contact, what to ask of prosecutors, and how to be nice but insistent in a way that builds credibility makes Sheridan feel like Gandalf (that’s a super smart wizard to you non-Lord of the Rings people). She just knows what to do, who to contact, and what is realistic.
Sheridan is REALISTIC and HOPEFUL. She also “takes every bite at the apple” to help exonerate clients (meaning SHE TRIES EVERYTHING). We talked to a number of attorneys one of which was horrible and still has a five star review. Most of them told us that the most we could hope for was to settle something we could accept. I was not about that, especially because we are innocent. Sheridan had a different approach - she said we will ALWAYS try to appeal to good judgement at every stage. She was right. Our case was dismissed because of her positive outlook, her detailed work, her encouragement, and her advice.
Sheridan PRIORITIZES PEOPLE and cares about her clients as humans. Our first lawyer never called us back. I know that they get busy, but never? Sheridan is responsive and communicates well. Just be up front with when you want to chat, and she and her associates will schedule Zoom calls or meetings.
Sheridan THINKS STRATEGICALLY and EXPLAINS PROCESSES. With each step, Sheridan laid our game plan and then explained the what ands why. I know more about all this CJ process because of her careful insights.

Consult with Sheridan Lewis before you hire an attorney.
I was falsely accused of an unspeakable crime and had no clue how to defend against such an awful allegation. How does one prove that something never happened, after all? Being referred to Sheridan was by far the best thing that happened!
When I sat down to take a polygraph, the examiner told me he didn't know if I had done anything wrong YET (implying he would after the exam). He quickly added that what I had done right was to hire Sheridan Lewis. Truer words were never spoken.
Sheridan's expertise is unmatched. She truly is brilliant. Her intelligence, years of experience, excellent communication style, and fighting spirit are just what you need no matter how serious the allegation against you. Sheridan offered excellent advice and helped us remain both positive and realistic in our outlook. Moreover, Sheridan treated us like we were her only client – taking time to talk with us, hear our concerns, reassure us concerning the process, etc. She treated us with dignity and kindness despite the seriousness and awful nature of the false allegation.
Sheridan stands out from the other attorneys with whom we had consultations. You want and need someone willing to fight for you. Sheridan fights for her clients and for the truth! Here are two specific examples.
First, bond conditions required me to wear a monitoring device. Other attorneys told me it would be approximately nine months before it might be removed. For several reasons, Sheridan thought we could at least ask the court to remove it. Thanks to her tenacity, the court ordered it removed after only two months – long before any other attorney said they would even try.
Another example was the stellar defense package she and her team assembled. Several other attorneys said the odds of success were too low and they did not spend time putting a package together. Fortunately, Sheridan said we should take every opportunity to demonstrate my innocence. We knew nothing was guaranteed but felt comfortable that we were in as strong a position as possible going into the grand jury because of Sheridan and her outstanding team.
The grand jury found no probable cause to indict the case and I was never charged with a crime. Before hiring Sheridan, other attorneys said the best outcome we could hope for was a plea deal.
The moral of the story is this: do not hire another attorney until you've met with Sheridan. She literally saved my future because she was willing to do what was right and mounted a robust defense against false allegations. There are not words to adequately thank Sheridan Lewis for all she did on our behalf. We are eternally grateful!

Being accused of a criminal case is something that marks your life forever. Not only does it affect you in the legal way, but it can also have an impact on various aspects of you life like your employment, immigration status (like in my case) and it can be emotionally and financially stressful. I was falsely accused of egregious professional misconduct under the Army’s SHARP program. Due to the notoriety of SHARP in the current command climate of the Armed Forces, that false allegation resulted in me facing not only an other-than-honorable involuntary termination of my military service but also irreparable and irrevocable harm to my professional career. Dimitri Dube, the most professional and comforting attorney I have ever worked with. My husband had two cases at the same time. He was out on bail but then was detained by ICE for three months because of an old charge which he satisfied by deferred adjudication but wasn't properly documented. Dimitri checked in frequently to gauge where we were with the case. I had to hire an immigration attorney then a criminal attorney and fortunately God sent us Dimitri through a friend. A couple of years ago I was in search of a lawyer and contacted Mr. Holmes. He was very informative and professional. After several phone calls and Ian answering much of my questions...I was stuck deciding between Mr. Holmes and another lawyer. Regretfully I chose the other lawyer.
