Hi, I was in an unusual situation with finding out who my biological father was in 2015, he passed away in March 2024, an probate was open up in dc court for my dad by one of his other children which is my sister, she did not include me in anything. When I first meet MVF ( Mathew Von Fricken ) to discuss my case he was very clear about the process & the time frame that it would take to get everything filed . He asked a lot of questions so that he could get insight to my personal situation. At no time did I feel he was giving me Cookie Cutter answers or Solutions. MVF was very easy to talk to & made me feel comfortable & involved in the process. You can tell when u are speaking to him that he actually cares & is passionate about the law as well as his client's well being. He was very clear about the reality of my situation. I am profoundly disgusted and disappointed with the deceitful conduct of Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough. Particularly, attorneys Sol Wisenberg, Michael Ruggio (now with another firm), and Lester Perling now with another firm) in handling my case. The dishonesty and lack of transparency in billing, along with inflated costs, are reprehensible and indicative of a scam. Their incompetence and negligence resulted in numerous failures, reflecting a severe lack of professional integrity and ethical practice.

Mr. Koehler represented me as the petitioner in a DC CPO case, a horrific affair, 9 months of stalking, harassment, threats of violence and extortion. If I could give 10 stars I would. Mr. Koehler is that unique combination of highly knowledgeable and competent, while being incredibly personable. He handled the horrendous twists and turns of my case with such humanity, care and genuine concern for me (and the law), all the while navigating the DC legal system and the process for me with the utmost professionalism.
After winning my case yesterday, I had the best night's sleep I've had in months. I slept so peacefully and soundly -- like I haven't in a very long time. And, I feel safe and secure, and intensely happy that I don't have to face the prospect of another day wondering what awful thing the stalker might do to attempt some form of contact/show his "affection"....It's been the most horrendous nightmare. As many people often do, I realized (too late) that I may have made a mistake in handling a situation and could have potentially opened myself up to liability. I recently had one of the worst things imaginable happen to me. I had a shady person from my past file a protection order against me, for the simple reason of hurting my career. They knew that this would have a drastic and negative impact on my career so I decided to fight it. There are lawyers in DC who have mastered the Google algorithm so they kept coming up over and over and over again with every search for a DC criminal attorney and when I called to talk to them, I was referred to a different lower level attorney at their firm. I found Jon from his reviews after interviewing 3 other attorneys. His fees weren't the lowest or the highest but in the middle and he was flexible with a payment strategy. He spent time with me to understand the case and understood the outcome I was seeking. These charges were pure fiction and to this day am still in shock at how our legal system caters first to scammers, and only modestly to actual scam victims. Anyway, long story short, less than a week after meeting him we had our court date and he facilitated exactly what he said.
If you've been fraudulently accused of something criminal, you need an attorney that will get in and fight for you. They shouldn't stress you out in order to prepare you for rate hikes or fees outside of what was originally agreed on. Jon gave me a flat fee solution and he did everything he said he would. If I ever had a close friend or family member that needed an attorney, I'd immediately refer them to Jon Norris without hesitation.

I first came to Jon a year ago with my very first legal issue. I was honestly floored by how unpretentious, and non-judgmental he was and immediately wanted to hire him. He made me feel at ease, and didn't make empty promises, yet he delivered everything he said and then some. This was a very emotional experience for me, and my future was uncertain in the beginning. At sentencing, Jon fought for me and made me feel much better about my future. Now 3 days later, I feel lighter, happier and free. I hired Jon to represent me in a misdemeanor sex abuse case related to an incident at a bar. I was initially represented by a public defender that told me the DA would not move off of the charge or offer any sort of diversion. The victim was so upset that she had requested jail time.
I hired Jon, who after many court appearances and negotiation with the prosecutor's office got the case dismissed! No diversion, no plea deal - dismissal. It is my understanding that by using a more technical legal approach pertaining to the charges, as well as obtaining some evidence from the bar that worked in my favor, Jon was able to poke enough holes in the DA's case to convince them to drop it.
In addition, Jon is responsive to client needs and questions throughout the process. He has a very professional demeanor in court and had a great rapport with the judge in my case.
I would absolutely recommend Jon Norris. I would be sitting here with an ugly charge on my record if I had stayed with the public defender assigned to my case.

I am one of the lucky people who has called Mark my friend since 2001. He and I lost touch for a number of years, but I always felt like if I ever got in personal legal trouble, Mark would be the first person I would call. And, he was. Last year Mark swiftly stepped in to defend me against a TRO filed by my (now former) upstairs neighbor to gain advantage against my husband in a longstanding condo dispute. It was a dark period in my life, but Mark was able to resolve the TRO matter and the longstanding condo dispute. Any client that Mark takes on is a lucky client indeed. So I was facing Charges for driving while drunk in DC and they found my concealed carry (pistol) under my seat and my Virginia License to conceal carry wasn’t recognized by the District of Columbia. But Thankfully Mr. Shawn Sukumar’s amazing Knowledge and experience in his field was able to get the gun charges dropped and I was able to avoid any jail time (aside from the initial arrest) and in the end had 6 months unsupervised Probation with 90 hours of community service, 12 hours of an alcohol class, online driving safety course, Online MADD course and a 100 fee I believe was it. And after all that the judge signed a Youth act order meaning my conviction was removed from my record. All in all I was very satisfied with the end result of my case. Highly recommend this gentleman, he is very professional and makes sure his clients understand everything and is very good about staying in contact with his clients and keeping them updated. You would Definitely want him representing you if you needed an attorney.

My lawyer, Andrellos Mitchell, is an outstanding litigation attorney. He represented me in a real estate case involving my condominium where the Condo Association and its Management Company breached their contractual obligations after a fire damaged my unit. The defendants hired very large law firms. They tried to get the case dismissed, but were unsuccessful. Mr. Mitchell is ethical, knowledgeable, and aggressive in the litigation process. He fights hard for his clients, but he isn't cheap. In the legal profession, you get what you pay for. While Mr. Mitchell does not make any guarantees of success, he does promise to give you his best efforts and seek a positive outcome for you. All he asks in return is that you cooperate with him, assist him with your case, and pay your bill.

Mr. Mitchell is an excellent employment lawyer. Ignore the fake negative reviews. Mr. Mitchell was hired for my employment case in state government. He responded quickly. We met for a business lunch. He is very articulate and thorough in his interview and review of your documents. He quickly contacted my employer in writing and is handling the matter. I have not had any more harassment at my job to date. In fact, my employer has tried to offer me a promotion.
For Your Information (FYI): The negative reviews are from fake clients.
1. Real clients don’t make “inquiries” when they contact a lawyer. That’s not how the legal business works.
2. Real clients pay money for a consultation fee to meet with the lawyer.
3. Real clients sign a retainer agreement and pay a retainer fee for representation.
4. Fake/Broke clients don’t want to pay for legal services.
5. Google and some other sites allow anyone to make reviews without proof that the person actually hired the lawyer. So the sites can’t be trusted.
6. Fake reviewers are trying to blackmail my lawyer for money. Not going to happen.
7. Don’t believe the fake reviews, Mr. Mitchell is a great lawyer!

He literally saved the case.
I found myself in a bind: headed to a notorious Circuit Court and the senior attorney I had hired had pawned my case off to a junior associate who had botched it all. In fact, we were weeks from submitting the brief and they were totally unprepared.
I was given the name of Ben Vernia from successful attorneys in that circuit and called. Most folks aren’t interested in federal whistleblowers who did the right thing but aren’t likely to yield lots and lots of cash, but Mr. Vernia cared more about saving my dignity and preserving my case. Mr. Vernia got right to work on my case and impressed me in several important ways.
He was transparent about his fees. He estimated hours in advance so I could plan approximate costs. This kept my anxiety and budget within control.
Mr. Vernia was calm and compassionate. He listened to me. He was respectful. He helped me understand the process we would be engaging in so I could know what to expect.
Mr. Vernia was skilled. He developed careful arguments and delivered them expertly. I was so impressed.
