I met Doug at an event at a friends home. He introduced himself to me and we began a conversation immediately. I asked him what he did for a living and when he said lawyer, I took advantage of the situation and asked him about the business trouble I was in with my business. I ran a multi million dollar company and it was in trouble. I had seen lawyers before Doug and in fact was using one at that time. Doug offered unique ideas and thoughts on how to get out of the trouble and, excuse me "destroy" those who were trying to destroy me. I was sold, I jumped ship and retained him. It took about 9 months, a lot of meetings and court motions, but I WON. I am now riding high again. Saved my marriage and all is good. OK, the bad news (not so bad)... Doug is not cheap, but worth every sent. And, he is difficult to reach, well, until he gave me his phone number. Then you can catch him best after hours, you see, THE MAN DOES NOT SLEEP... EVER. So you can call him at 4:00am and he is like "Hey Bobby, whats up?" Its great. I could not recommend him highly enough. If you are in trouble and you want out, quickly and strongly, VERY STRONGLY, making the people who "F'ed" with you RUN and HIDE, with their attorney, then Doug is your guy. Others just cannot keep up with this Vampire... Vampire in a good way.

Just not the type of attorney who should have handled my case in this lifetime, hopefully he'll think twice before stepping into other sectors of law that he has no place being in next time the opportunity comes his way and stick to what he knows best, defending criminals. Which there's nothing wrong with that, just victim advocate attorneys are very different from criminal defense attorneys and the two should not cross paths. There's a reason you have different lawyers, because cases are meant to be handled differently and a victim's case should be handled completely differently from a retaliation TRO case. There's people who use TROs and there's people who need TROs and FROs, that's why they have special attorneys that work with the population I am a part of, survivors of DV and SA.

Brent is a very calm grounded individual. When I first sat down with him, he listened, and after asking questions, he positioned a direction on how to proceed. We went to court several times and each time he was relaxed and advised me prior to the proceedings.
I feel he was fair and just, and he always let me know there were alternatives and advised me well.

I hired Brent DiMarco, Esq. after I was charged with four (4) misdemeanor charges. From the very beginning, the only thing Mr. DiMarco promised me was that he would do his absolute best to try and help me. And he did. He answered my phone calls and emails promptly. A few years ago I was young & dumb got 2 dui’s after that I got my stuff together to do better & be better but you know in NJ you need a car , so I kept driving after all my punishments bc I didn’t have anyone really represent me for those 2 dui s from 9 yrs ago .. that was a big mistake on Valentine’s Day I parked my car in maywoof by the way I have diabetes, so I parked to get a candy bc my sugar was low & I wasn’t feeling good .. the next thing I see is one offer car in front & one on back .. they automatically stereotyped me as a person who was drunk or high bc of my past .. they towed my car & brought Into station as I cried & said to myself this cannot be happening again I’ve been doing everything right , in my urine they found medicated that were proscribed to me , the charged me with dui & a lot of other things .. the officer didn’t even fill out anything while I was there .. he mailed & I went to court , I tried a Public defendant who told me I have no chance just go to jail il for 6 mos & 10 yrs suspended license./. He told just sign you have no chance .. & I said no I will get a lawyer that’s when I met Mrr. Scott Gorman , , he had such a relaxed way about him & pleasant .. he told me since they mailed me my summons I didn’t have to show bc who is to know if I received those summons sent by mail but by them I had already screwed that had went into court .. but scott still said don’t worry I think we still have a good chance , he gave me faith , hope , strength when I had none.. we went to court for 2 yrs straight through zoom in person mostly , he was always there a call , a text away through the 2 yrs he was always honest he told me what was right & wrong .. what was going good , what was not .. Mr. Scott Gorman literally went into the Lions den & he wasn’t going looe . He brought my case to the Supreme Court , shortly after I had to give Mr.Gorman some documents emailed , so mr. Gorman called & said forget the document we’re getting your dui dropped, I didn’t know what to say I broke down in tears & said thank you , I could of never got this done it was a miracle .. he is amazing .. if you have any charges or dui Mr . Scott Gorman is your man . He’s not about money , He’s about really fighting for his client .. Even the judge said you would’ve never got this dismissed if you didn’t have the great lawyer you have .. I’ve never seen anyone fight so hard ,,, this my lawyer for life I recommend him to everyone who needs a lawyer .. he’s the best !!!! I owe my life to him , my life would’ve changed in a bad direction I f he didn’t save me , Thank you Mr.Scott Gorman… a true guardian angel !!!

I left a very long review on another popular site already so I'll make this quick. The time he spent engaging with me and speaking to me honestly, guiding me on the best proper steps that should be taken and overall helpfulness speaks volumes to his character. I'm not one to go out of my way and act like a Karen unless something is so horrible they deserve a negative review or they are so helpful they deserve praise. I am on avvo, a site I never heard of until recently, going out of my way to leave a review because he went way out of his way and that is something no other Attorney has ever done. He truly deserves more than 5 stars as a Thank You for restoring my faith in the legal community (well, maybe that is a bit much because I question lots of legal professionals ethics after the one I dealt with before. I would never recommend either Francesca or Carlye, as my experience with them was that of ineffectiveness, procrastination and extreme inefficiency resulting in high bills and no accomplishments on my behalf, accompanied by poor attitude. I contacted Francesca in late Sep 2023 to help me and my son gain control of my son’s college fund and get my ex to pay child support. Francesca was optimistic, stated that they will get to work on it “right away”, and suggested that she bring on Carlye as it would be “more efficient”. What I was not told is that I will be billed thousands of dollars for Francesca and Carlye talking to each other (conferences they called it, and that is very lucrative for the two of them, but definitely not efficient). I was also not told that it meant that Francesca will dump my case on an inexperienced junior attorney –something I would have never agreed to. Not knowing any better I took her advice. By the end of November, still with no court date or even a motion in sight, my ex hired a lawyer, who, according to Francesca, was going to give us a counter-offer. Francesca suggested we wait to see it, before going to court. I waited for somebody to reach out to me until mid-January, for nearly 2 months, when my ex sent my son’s tuition payment to himself instead of to college. When I texted her, Francesca finally called my ex’s lawyer and discovered that he fired her. I am not sure when Francesca or Carlye were planning to follow-up on the situation if I didn’t text them. At that point, Francesca reassured me that we will be doing to court “very soon” (previously suggesting that in such a situation we can have an emergency court hearing within days). However, neither she nor Carlye pursued an emergency hearing, and did nothing to remediate the situation, leaving myself and my son to fight my ex for the tuition money, but I was billed thousands of dollars for communicating with them about the situation. It took until March to get a motion produced, with the court date eventually scheduled for mid-April. At that point my ex lawyered up again, asking to postpone the court date so they can file counter-motion. While it only took his lawyer a total of only 11 days from when he was hired until he completed the motion and submitted it to court, my lawyers missed court communications, and with all the other delays on part of Francesca and Carlye we did not get to court until early June, more than 8 months from when I hired them, and at the cost of 4-5 times what my ex paid his lawyer to get to that point. Once we got to court, Carlye proved to be just as ineffective and inefficient in convincing the judge of anything of benefit to me. The summer was spent by her in an unbroken streak of failures to get any results on my behalf or to move the process toward resolution through multiple court appearances, while billing me thousands of dollars. I was left to fight with my ex by myself outside of court to try to get to any kind of an agreement about the college fund and child support, while continuing to pay legal fees for "representation" but no results. My ex and I finally came to an agreement, outside of court, with no input from my lawyers. The agreement was written up by my ex’s attorney, who was much more responsive and efficient through that process. I really should have fired Francesca and Carlye at that point and finalized it myself, but I thought that I may as well benefit from having access to legal representation. Another mistake. They dragged it out for another 2 months, with the final agreement being identical to the original + changes by my ex that he sent over the day after his lawyer circulated the agreement, but I was charged additional ~ 4500 for their “work”. They did nothing but dragged the process out for over a year, left me to fight with my ex by myself and “efficiently” billed me tens of thousands of dollars. When I brought my concerns to Francesca, she accused me of trying to shake her down and get out of paying my bills. So – definitely don’t recommend.

When things escalated he was there for me, looking out for my best interest, while helping me set reasonable expectations. If you are from New Jersey you know he is considered the best defense attorney in the state. If you are researching and just learning about Mr. Flood, chances are you have seen him on television or in the newspapers unknowingly. My case involved a securities transactions. Mr. Flood and his team worked countless hours and the end result was “not guilty”. I think the federal prosecutors nearly fainted. It was a long and difficult trial. Me. Flood saved my company and my life. He is not only an excellent lawyer, but a great man. Finally, when he walks into a room people take notice. He is impeccably dressed with Cary Grant looks. I spoke to Mr Zisa yesterday about a real connundrum where I have a family member who refuses to leave a home owned by my Alzheimer's stricken mother. The funds from the house are sorely needed for her care, but the family member is frustrating efforts to sell the property and refuses to pay rent. Mr Zisa gave me more than an hour of his time for free, listened gave excellent ideas on the way forward and even called me back with further useful information.
