Lori is hands down the best lawyer!!! When they say taking on a certain entity is a hard fight, that didn’t stop her for taking on our case. I reached out to Kelly regarding my wrongful conviction for domestic violence which was preventing me from owning/possessing a fire. If it wasn’t for my love of hunting specifically with my dad I probably would’ve gone on with my life but instead I explained my situation to Kelly, she sounded positive about restoring my rights. Took a few months but the wait paid off. I now have my conceal carry and the joy of being able to purchase weapons. More importantly I get to hunt with my dad without looking over my shoulder. He is very honest and knowledgeable not like the others that i contacted that day. He took the time to walk me through my case (a very minor traffic incident) and explained me why it is not worth to retain any lawyer for that matter. I found Matthew through a Google search that led me to a referral site. Not knowing a darn thing about finding lawyers I put in my information and Matthew was the first one to respond; my request was answered in about 20 minutes. From the very first phone call and until my issues were completely resolved he has maintained an excellent level of professionalism, fast responses, and an understanding of my specific needs. Even after resolution he has kept himself very available to answer any question that I've had. My case was resolved as best as possibly could be expected, and even before we knew the answers I was left feeling safer and in more control. Matthew kept me educated as to what was going on and why, and provided a great action plan for me to follow to best resolve the case. I would definitely recommend his services again - and did. I do not and will never regret my decision of having Mathew Thomas Martin represent me as my Attorney concerning a criminal case charged against me for what I beleive was a false accusation.
According to the District Court, my offence level was Misdemeanor, and the Charge was Disorderly Conduct-Offensive/Abusive/Noisy/Obscene tending reasonably to arouse alarm, anger or resentment in others. Charged for the maltreatment of a vulnerable adult for what I believe is completely not true. The report I received from the Police, coupled with the pictures, and complainant witness story did not truely tally with what I believe happened. I wondered how I could come out of the unfaithful charge knowing I had no way to prove them wrong. I contacted my Attorney Matthew Martin and explained the inccident in great detail. He believed me, I trusted him, and we moved forward. He allayed my fears and gave me confidence stating that his investigations and follow-up of my case will be thorough and without baise. However, he prepared my heart saying that the case was a serious and daisy one, but not to be too worried but be cheerful. He worked very hard and tirelessly, making phone calls, collecting materials such as photos from police, 911 call, and creditable statements from various sources. His investigation was thorough and we went to court four times. He argued my case with professional skills and expertise that brought about a successful end result.
I am a happy man today, and very grateful that he was used by God to bring me out of a problem that would have otherwise brought me unimaginable hardship, sorrows and unecessary sufferings.

Sam filed a lawsuit that requested a full refund from a contractor who was supposed to fix a broken sewer line. Six months after the job was complete, I discovered another break in the line and other problems. Sam won a full refund. Sam was recommended to us by a friend after my boyfriend got a confusing traffic ticket that required him to go to court. Sam was courteous right off the bat, and went out of his way to explain what everything meant and keep us informed through out the process. He was able to get my boyfriend out of the ticket completely and also was able to get the court date moved so we didn't have to deal with it the same week we were moving. The day of, my boyfriend didn't even have to set foot in the courtroom, Sam took care of everything. Afterwards, he followed up with us. Going to traffic court felt like it was going to be a total nightmare, and Sam made it as easy and comfortable an experience as possible. He was also very reasonably priced. I would recommend Sam to any of my friends or family, he is great!

I am a business owner who has lived primarily out-of-state since 1981. I have a second home in Minnesota. My situation occurred in 2017, after a cop harassed me for nearly an hour in a parking lot. Unfortunately, this occurred in a suburb whose cops are notorious for harassing innocent people. I was "guilty" of driving with expired plates, and knew it; I'd been out of town working, forgot to renew the plates on the car I keep in Minnesota. I apologized to the cop but he continued harrassing me. Oddly, he did not write me a ticket. Instead, he spent nearly all of his time asking me irrelevant personal questions (e.g., about other cars I own but do not drive).
Months later, I received a court document that I did not understand. According to the document, I was facing several thousands of dollars in fines and a jail sentence. Without hesitation, I retained Mr. Sessoms. The conclusion was that the judge let me off with a year's probation- no fine, no jail time. This would not have happened without Faison Sessoms's exceptional creative thinking and guidance. An important PS is that I have twice before seen Mr. Sessoms in action; throughout the years. I don't know of another Minnesota attorney with his experience- he really knows his way around the court systems- and knowledge of this state's judges. (It was actually a retired judge who recommended him to me.) I have not hesitated to recommend his services to others, who were equally pleased with his services- and hence I am doing so, now. Mr. Berris represented me for two separate cases, the first time for a DWI defense and then a few years later for a driver license cancellation challenge. For the first offense, I was grateful for his expertise and negotiating a very favorable outcome on a guilty plea. What was almost an inevitable 60-day stay in the Plymouth work house, turned into a 90-day electronic home confinement and daily breath monitor… On the second charge, we effectively sued the State of Minnesota with a bench trial in my home town (I lived in a County seat) — and I testified for 50 minutes before Mr. Berris, a deputy State Attorney and a District Judge… Mr. Berris did such a great job in the proceedings, that a few weeks later the judge ruled to dismiss the charge and grant me immediate reinstatement of my driver license. Fifteen years (and no offenses!) later, I am writing this recommendation from Iowa just to give praise to the best attorney I’ve ever met in my life. I recently used Marc Berris for a DWI case. He was really great. My last lawyer sent a different lawyer to court with me and had his legal assistant call me when I left messages for him. When I was arrested a close friend gave me Marc Berris' name. Though my friend had not used him personally, he had heard him speak when he was a student and remembered him several years later. I am glad he did.
Marc was able to meet with me almost immediately, and we spent a lot of time talking about what had occurred and what could be done to make the situation better. Marc didn't pressure me to hire him, and I actually took the time to meet with two other lawyers. After doing so I knew that Marc was the right choice. One of the other lawyers actually gave me totally incorrect information, and the other was trying to rush me out the door almost the minute I got to his office.
We made several court appearances and Marc checked in with me before each one. When he received all of the police reports he sent me a copy and then met with me to discuss the ways that they were accurate, the ways they weren't, and what our best course of action would be. At every step Marc made me feel like his only client, though I know I was far from it. When I left messages for Marc they were returned the very same day, every time, without exception.
In the end, the outcome was better than I had expected. Marc even sent me a note to thank me for my business. I have sent a few people to Marc since then, and every single one has been as pleased with him as was I. Avvo's rating system only allows me to give him 5 stars in my rating, but if I could give him 500 I would!

Ms Carlson is an amazing lawyer. I don't know what I would have done without her. She got me an amazing deal. I was being charged with a felony theft and that would impact my career and I was having a hard time getting a job in housing because of depending charge. Because of her experience and her knowledge and knowing how the judge in this matter works and how the prosecutor in this matter works, she was able to get me a misdemeanor disorderly conduct with a Steve adjudication with one year probation in $100 fine. It's quite the deal. I don't know what I would have done without her. I was going to take it to trial but because I was able to get this deal you can't beat that. I recommend her to anybody any day she's amazing. My case was in Anoka County and she's very familiar with the judges and the prosecutors. If you have a criminal case in Anoka County and she's either you're paid or public defender you have nothing to worry about.

I cannot recommend Mr. Bliss strongly enough! I was charged with a sex crime that I did not commit and no one would take my case except Tyler. I worked with him for one year and throughout my trial his professionalism and skill in understanding and defending me throughout was simply unmatched. You may find lawyers that speak well and lawyers that will promise outcomes but it just doesn't mean jack until you see them in action during a trial! Mr. Bliss absolutely spanked the pants off the D.A. in my case and put to shame a District Attorney who has been trying cases for at least 20 years longer than Mr. Bliss. I was found NOT GUILTY of all counts and I owe it to Tyler's undying devotion to my case.

I had some estate planning to take care of and wasn't sure how to go about it. Eric Miklasevics is an attorney in my neighborhood that was very easy to work with. I felt very comfortable asking questions and he was able to work with me in a style that made sense. I'm 40, so this stuff isn't exactly what I think about all the time. Eric brought up good questions when I was figuring out my Healthcare Directive.
What's great about Eric is that, while he's very knowledgable, he doesn't present himself in a way that is intimidating or stuffy. My perception would have been that this would be an uncomfortable process that would make me realize just how much stuff I didn't have. I'm not a rich person, so "estate planning" for me was about taking care of my partner and my dogs when I die. Pretty bare bones, but I didn't feel stupid for asking Eric to do it.

I will recommend Rhia to everyone I know without hesitation. Her knowledge , experience and understanding of the intricacies necessary to successfully navigate the legal process were head and shoulders above my expectations.
My dissoulution with child process took over a year and a half. Choosing a lawyer was tough because let's be honest, lawyers have a certain reputation when generalized as a whole(Not Rhia). I found a lawyer who fit all of those stereotypes (Not Rhia) and promptly fired her in exchange for Rhia's services.
Rhia was responsive , communicated clearly (without all that lawyer babble) and at no point did I ever feel like she wasn't paying attention. She even worked through her maternity leave when my family experienced a crisis .
Every step of the way Rhia ensured I was informed and comfortable with each choice we made together. She presented facts, options, advice and so much more.
In the long preparation for my case , I compiled a truckload of exhibits and information , all of which Rhia reviewed analyzed and utilized in my case. I was very impressed with the preparation process.
Then we went to trial. RHIA KICKED ASS.

I have been in turmoil for over a year now since deciding to file for my divorce/custody case.

More than 20 years ago Michael Colich represented me in a large drug case. Most of my codefendants got very expensive attorneys in Minneapolis area. Mr. Colich handled my case for free. He had promised to do some pro bono work for the courts and when one of my codefendants attorneys called him out on the offer he accepted. After reading a magazine article about Michael Colichs high profile four acquittals in one year (one for murder) and visiting his very prestigious office, I realized why the other attorneys wanted him on the team. I ended up pleading guilty and got only 3 years for a crime that under the Federal Drug Sentencing Guidelines required 40 years to life.
I have often tried to think of a way to show Mr. Colich how much his help was appreciated. This review is the best way I have come up with so far.
