Truly wowed by the amazing person Taylor seems to be. Nathan was beyond proficient throughout the entire DUI process. He was readily available when i had questions or concerns, he kept me up to date with reminders and letters, and he worked with me on payments. Other than the inconvenience of having to drive to IL for few court dates it was a pretty stress free process. I hired Mike Hanna for a child custody case. My case was settled Jan 2020. This was my second child custody case and I needed someone that knew what they were doing and would fight for what I wanted. I had a consultation over the phone with Mike and I just knew after speaking with him that he was the one I was choosing. He is honest, he doesn’t sugar coat anything, and he will tell you how it is. He knows what he’s doing and he will fight for you. I highly recommend Mike as an attorney. If I ever need an attorney again, he’s the only person I’ll call.

He is straight with you in goals and what the probable outcome of your case will be. He is honest in what he thinks can be achieved and what can't, and if he can't help you he will recommend someone who can. He has a vast expanse of legal knowledge and experience. One thing that sets him apart is that he deals with his clients directly. If you call the office you will talk with him or he will call you back. He gives out his personal cell number in case of emergencies and answers at all times. He is a hardworking man and will fight his hardest for you. Even if your case doesn't go as planned, rest assured that Mike worked tiresly, tried every avenue, and did all that could be done. His legal team is also phenomenal; I could write a whole separate page on just how wonderful his paralegals, Jan and Anny, are. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced in the law and procedures. They also work tirelessly on your case. The two of them will know your case forwards and back and will help with anything. Mike and his team are the best in the Kansas City area, both in the court room and out. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to help navigate you in your legal needs.

Mike has helped me with several cases. He helped me with my dog case when I stayed in Raytown and everything went in my favor. Then years later Mike worked my divorce case and then came back and worked my child custody case which lasted for a couple of years. I came out on top for that stressful experience. Mike is very professional and cares about his clients. So I have referred Mike to several people and just recently I referred him to my cousin, who will be using him for her divorce.
So I say Mike Hanna is the best lawyer in town not for what he did for me, but what his records show what he has done for so many others.

Dan's law firm helped me with an embarrassing charge for which the prosecuting attorney wanted ten years in prison and at least ten more years of registration, a felony B. At the initial consultation Dan very professionally and courteously outlined a plan how to defend the case. He and his partner Joe Flees fought a long fight to bring it down to an amended charge of a felony D (E on current statutes) with no registration and I got probation.

We hired Ronda after my daughter had been sexually harassed by a manager at her place of work. When she complained to us about the harassing manager, we advised her to go to the higher boss and make a complaint. The harassment did not stop. She went into her school counselor for advice. Upon hearing the issues, the school counselor contacted child protective services to report the abuse. We met with the school administration and were advised to make a formal statement with the police. Due to conversations from former employees who encountered family members of the now former manager, we were advised to obtain an ex-parte. Not thinking we needed an attorney, we appeared in court to have the ex-parte turned into a restraining order and found out the former manager hired a local attorney. Obviously we were caught "flatfooted" and quickly began reassessing our legal situation.
We are members of Legal Shield and have been since 2004. We called the 1800 number and were told that we don't need an attorney for an ex-parte. Any subsequent phone calls made to Legal Shield were ignored by the assigned law firm. (Yup...we got one phone call, and only one phone call...) That's when I went to the internet to do some research on attorneys. I went to the AVVO website and found Ronda. Noting that she had extremely high marks on the website and remembering she was a local judge, I gave her a phone call. I wanted someone who had experience listening to both sides of cases. We met. She listened to our story and told us what to expect. We hired her because she knew the system, she knew how to measure our steps, and she explained in detail everything that could and would happen. She took the time to teach us and guide us through the legal process. But more importantly, Ronda believed in us.
I'd like to say this was cut and dry, but it wasn't. This case took time to get the restraining order awarded. Ronda was there holding our hands the whole way through it. She never let us get discouraged. She always poured confidence into my daughter. We are exceedingly grateful to her skills as an attorney.
If you are new to the area or just needing a lawyer. Do your research! Buyer beware! Not every lawyer is the same in quality and dedication. If you want someone with a lot of experience, who will tell you the HONEST truth about your situation, who is fair, who is informative, who cares about clients; Ronda is the lawyer you want to hire. Due to Ronda, my daughter can get on with her life. Thank you!

I had an automobile accident which was my fault. The policeman that gave me the citation told me I was looking at a fairly large fine, probable points on my license and possibly driving school classes. To make matters worse, I totaled my car and knew my insurance rates would skyrocket. I was surprised that my court date fell on a Saturday, but Mr. O'Conner was in court with me early on a Saturday morning. I ended up paying a lowered fine, no points off my license and my insurance rates didn't go up very much. Mr. O'Connor has worked for the DA's office, so knows the system and how it works, from the inside out. He is always professional but is also a very kind and caring person. I had an excellent experience with his law firm. He walked me through the entire process step-by-step of what was gonna happen in order to get my license reinstated after 12 years I’ve been suspended. He took care of everything I didn’t even have to go to court and stand in front of a judge And get that awkward oh my god what’s going to happen feeling. I hired Mr. Lloyd to represent me in a Class A Misdemeanor DWI case along with a petition against the Department of Revenue (I refused the breathalyzer). In the criminal DWI case, there were several accompanying charges. The petition against the state would be quite challenging to overcome as well. Although the odds were against me, Mr. Lloyd readily took on my pair of cases. At the onset, I faced potential jail time along with losing my license for at least a year. Formal procedures commenced over the next several months. Mr. Lloyd was excellent about keeping me informed of my court dates and progress of the cases. It was apparent to me that he cared about my cases, which helped ease my mind at a time where that was not easy to do. By the conclusion of all this, Mr. Lloyd had continuously fought for the outcome of my immediate future. I believe his persistence and zeal shaped the positive result of both my cases. I served no jail time nor did I lose my license.
As the end result of my cases could not have been better, I would recommend Mr. Lloyd to anyone I know. Thank you David, your representation undoubtedly changed my life for the better.

Mr. Scroggie was a huge help to our college freshman who has never had even so much as a speeding ticket and was inappropriately accused of criminal charges. Mr. Scroggie helped explain to our college kiddo why we were in-fact not going to accept anything other than a complete dismissal of the charges as there were no laws broken, the authorities never talked to our college student the night in question, and our kiddo had done nothing wrong. I dealt with the firm to apply for a work authorization and a permanent residency. It was a pleasant experience for me; Mrs. Biesenthal was responsive in a timely manner for all my follow ups and inquiries during the whole process. She is well organized and offer good explanation for the further steps and time frame of the process either over the phone or by meeting in person. having a complicated immigration matter that was taking place in kansas city i truly didn't know where to turn. we're nc residents. somehow we stumbled on lindsay gray and meggie biesenthal and they have been handling our case together. a child of one of my employees had been picked up by ins and was being held. lindsay and meggie were able to get him released and on a bus to his mother. well, unbeknownst to me, there was a way to prove that sending him back to his homeland was going to be like throwing him to the wolves. turns out that he grew up in the absolute worst conditions and sending him back into them was going to threaten his life. lindsay and meggie got right on it, and in the middle of my case the immigration reform bill has been passed. yes, we're in the early stages of this, but it's truly looking very promising. it seems that my employee was hospitalized in virginia by he child's father in virginia a few years ago. upon hearing this it immediately tripped the alarm on meggie and lindsay. the mother would qualify for a U visa. so, this is where we sit currently...they're working on the u visa for my employee, and her son isn't due back in court until november 2016. HOPEFULLY, by then my employee will have a u visa which will give her son the fast track towards residency. i simply could not be more pleased with lisdsay and meggie. we just had a skype discussing the cases and my employee cannot say enough good things about the representation she's receiving. thank you so much. both of you!

No one ever thinks they will be in this situation of needing a lawyer because your son was selling drugs. Carter was not the original lawyer my son hired. That lawyer was dishonest and we felt like we were sinking in quicksand. We didn't know who we could trust or where to turn. Our son was in one of the county jails when he heard about Carter from another inmate. She made no promises but gave us confidence that she was on our side and explained every step of the way. For the first time in months we felt like we weren't sinking in that quicksand. We weren't asking for miracles but a fair defense for our son. She was by his side during the entire long process and updated us whenever anything changed. I don't know what would of happened to my son and us if our paths had not crossed with Carter. She follows through and delivers.

My co-Managing Partner, Charles Floyd Johnson, is an attorney as well. 2017 I was introduced to Ron and Mark Lacey by Attorney Nikki Mitchell, Senior Partner in the Law Firm of Mitchell, Brown & Associates, LLC. I retained Nikki Mitchell to handle matters concerning my Aunt and Uncle’s estate. I was the Executor of my Aunt and Uncle’s estate, they lived in St. Louis, MO.
