Kevin did an outstanding job with my case, he was great at communicating and explaining everything that was going to happen. I was given a ticket for 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. I have an out of state license and was told by the officer I would need to appear in court. I received a letter in the mail from His law firm and after talking with his staff retained them to represent me. Everything the Administrative assistant told me was accurate and the case turned out exactly as they had suggested. Thank you. Case was voluntarily dismissed.

I have know and used Kenneth Swain for many years. I have used him for my son when he was a drug user and my daughter for very similar reasons. I consulted with numerous lawyers concerning a scenario that was ongoing. I hired Bruce Mason after reading about his selection to Super Lawyers for several consecutive years, and meeting with him. My situation compares to being lost in the jungle only to find a lion who becomes my aegis. I no longer suffered from noctambulation or constant worry because Bruce Mason was superb. He is breviloquent and eloquent simultaneously and has substantive work ethic and integrity. He is also well respected by his peers, and I suspect his intellect far surpasses that of most lawyers. If you have something going on that is incredibly important to you, I suggest hiring him. He can handle difficult cases with ease. He certainly left me in a better place after winning my case, and the only thing I would change about him is not having been in the situation I was in to begin with to need someone like him. I wish the world had more people like him in it.

My daughter received a traffic ticket and being from Chicago who do we turn to for help and guidance. We received a number of letters from local law firms but Farmer &Morris Law stuck out to us.
Gabrielle and Alexis worked with us through the very difficult issues because of the Pandemic. They suggested Megan take an in person driving class, but we couldn’t find any locally in Illinois because of the lockdown. On top of that Megan then needed to go to Florida for 4 months. How to prepare a case the court would accept?
Well they worked overtime to find a Florida class that was acceptable and communicated with us regularly. The outcome was positive and we are appreciative for their help and guidance.

Hiring John Painter is one of the best decisions I have ever made, truly worth every penny. He is not only incredibly smart, but very quick on his feet, exceptionally creative, but the value of his experience becomes clear once you see him in a courtroom - this man has seen it all and I can't say how important that is in these cases. Mr. Painter is a kind gentleman when you meet him, but don't let that fool you - he is a true bulldog and will put every ounce of sweat and effort into fighting for you. Mr. Painter left no stone unturned - challenging every point, making strong and legitimate objections (and repeating those as they came up again), pinning down witnesses and ultimately presenting some very novel legal arguments I don't think other lawyers would have tried or thought of. As I waited for my case to be called on trial day, I saw several attorneys defend their clients with mediocre arguments or otherwise simply accept guilty pleas, every single one of them being found guilty. Statistically for NC, that is what I would expect and I was preparing myself for the same. Mr. Painter had mentioned a novel legal argument when we first met, and I wasn't sure it would work but I also didn't expect an attorney to try something besides settling and hoping for the best sentencing outcome, as I believed my case was fairly clear cut. I blew way over both on scene and at the station, it wasn't particularly close. I am sure I would not have had the same outcome with another lawyer - not guilty. Mr. Painter follows every witness closely, taking notes that he uses to create a timeline that he somehow manages to refer back to with an uncanny ability to process all of that in his head in real time. Mr. Painter put on a truly remarkable performance, challenging every point made by the state, repeated objections that arose and came up again (one of which the state seemed to even acknowledge had put their case in a bit of a bind, and it certainly wasn't an obvious one I would have realized - and this wasn't the first time Mr. Painter had brought it up), and not leaving anything on the table for the judge to consider in favor of conviction without challenging its merit. Mr. Painter handled my case for three years, and kept me from making court appearances until the time was right. I was ultimately found not guilty, 100% due to this man and I feel (as I have seen many others on here mention) as though I owe him more than the legal fees I paid (which were probably a bit higher than some other attorneys at the time, but worth every penny and looking back I would have paid more). What an incredible relief when I had all but accepted that I was likely to be convicted, potentially having to wait several years before the asterisk on my record was removed (likely after the damage was already done). Do yourself a favor and go talk to Mr. Painter in order to put yourself in the best hands possible; you won't find his level of skill in another attorney and the consequences are too great not to.

I have used John Painter twice on two family related criminal cases almost 20 years apart. Both times I got exactly what I wanted. John listened to my situation and educated me on what my options were, John Painter billed me a very reasonable rate and kept me informed though out the process. Both times the cases were dismissed. Thats exactly what John said would happen. John has been a local criminal defense attorney for over 40 years. Mr. Byrd is an excellent attorney. I was seeking legal counsel regarding having a felony conviction expunged off my record. I called several attorneys in the Cumberland County area, and Mr. Byrd was the only attorney who knew the North Carolina expungement laws had changed, what the new statue stated. He went above and beyond to assist me. Mr. Byrd took his time to explain the expungement process, he prepared the proper documentation, obtained the right forms, and did everything correct the first time. I couldn’t have asked for a better, more professional experience; from beginning to end. Mr Byrd and his staff (Angela) were perfect! I had a few issues with payment towards the beginning of my charges but Mr. Byrd was extremely patient and understanding! He got me out of 4 serious racing charges that probably would of resulted in me losing my drivers license. It did take about a year and a half but it was honestly 100% worth it. It kind of confuses me when I read bad reviews about this lawyer like he was reading paperwork in a car, etc. etc. I think people need to realize that sometimes disorganization can occur when someone is first starting up a new business. He is not like this today. He works with a team of professionals and they all accomplish a lot. If you have ever observed ants building a hill, bees in a hive, or wasps on a mission you will know what I am talking about. His team is very productive. He is a good leader and a great communicator. As far as his prices "being too high," well that is what happens sometimes when starting a new business. Over time I'm sure his prices will have gone down and will go down more but until then he's like every other human being just trying to make ends meet. Lawyers are human beings too. We had a few of our ups and downs but honestly I was grateful to have hired a lawyer who tells the truth. I never got mad at him for telling me the truth. I only got mad when he assumed I didn't know the truth. Kind of like that phrase "Hey tell me something I don't know." I know I need help. Lots of people do. However, there are better ways to express your dissatisfaction with something than telling me something I already know and sending that email of your confrontation to everyone in the office. Maybe some of his staff can help him with learning how to word things better to clients. I feel like his staff have helped make him into the success he is today. Great work ethic combined with team work and excellent communication among him and his staff provide for a speedy job and you get your money's worth. He just needs to research better ways of communicating with clients and when something bothers him he needs to voice his discontent immediately versus holding it all in and letting it build up over time. When you hold things in and then explode it does not look good on you. It makes it look like you can't handle yourself. If you can't handle yourself because of emails how will you handle uncomfortable emotions in court? That's all I'm saying. I hope his team goes to court with him because, like everyone else, he needs help.

Hired Bryce to handle a child support termination. He did an amazing job of communicating directly with me via email (only talked to his staff to pay the bill). This is very rare! Most attorney’s barely talk to you and 90% of your communication goes through a paralegal.
In addition to be a great communicator, he did a great job of preparing and arguing the case which resulted in a victory. I’d hire him again; no question.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mark Hearp and he is an angel!!! I couldn't sleep eat or rest at all the week before my court hearing, I stayed up all night, every night researching things about my case and pretty much freaking myself out more. I went into the office every single day before my hearing and bothered Mr. Hearp and his assistant with questions and all my concerns and they were more than willing to help me. On February 16, 2018 around 7PM I hear a knock at the door. I answered the door and to my surprise, I see two Police Officers which are government officers. Once my ID was established, I was presented with a warrant for my arrest. Accused of (I'M-ASSAULT GOVT OFFICIAL/EMPLY) and this started thinking, How, Who, When and Where. Once all paperwork completed by the police officer at the (CCDC) Cumberland County Detention Center I was released with from the CCDC with a court date on March 08, 2018. I was not sure what I was going to do, represent myself or talk with an attorney. I gathered up all my paperwork, video from home security system and compiled what I thought was good to represent myself in court. The more I thought about it I researched all of Cumberland County for the best rated legal professional Law Firm and Lawyers.
