In 2010 I found myself being charged with 6 felonies. I had never even had a speeding ticket and didn’t know the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor. I literally chose Attorney Smith at random out of the phone book. He not only met me for case discussion but also made sure to keep every meeting and/or scheduled meeting with the police, as well as attended every court hearing. In the end, my original charges (6 felonies) were all reduced to 1 Disorderly Conduct, a 4th degree misdemeanor. To say he is anything but a Godsend would be an insult. I will recommend Attorney Smith to anyone who is looking for an attorney and I will not hesitate to call him if need be in the future. Thank you for genuinely caring for your clients and not just practicing for a paycheck!

Ross represented me years ago for a criminal case and to say the least he got me a deal that i thought was impossible!! During that case he even went to lisbon and got a driving charge dismissed for nothing!! This man ran into my mother and sister and she had her 2 children with her at apple bees he came over said hello to them as a professional does then when my mother went to pay the bill she was told he had paid it already!! I would recommend him to anyone i know that needs the best and hes the only attorney i will use !! Hes a beast and cares about his clients and their families!! Mr. Ernst was very professional and knowledgeable from the very beginning. He told me what I should expect and how everything was going to work. He and his amazing staff kept me updated every step of the way. He explained my charges and what penalties I could be facing. I believe that every single person in that courthouse knew who he was and his reputation as a great lawyer definitely preceded him. My son was arrested for an OVI charge, along with a related charge. Having never dealt with this issue before, I contacted a trusted friend who is an attorney. He said that Shawn runs the best DUI practice in the Columbus area. We took his advice to contact Shawn and we were very glad we did as Shawn and his team were very responsive, competent, professional and effective.
Shawn's office immediately took our call on a Sunday and scheduled a consultation for first thing the following morning. During the consultation, Shawn provided a clear explanation of the process (including timeline), charges and potential outcomes.
Throughout the process, Shawn and his team kept my son informed of the progress, includings the filings and motions made on my son's behalf, discovery data (including Shawn's assessment of how the data/evidence would possibly affect the case) and reminders of court dates.
Thanks to Shawn and his team, the case was settled with the related charge being dismissed and the minimum sentence for the OVI charge. The OVI laws are complex and I can't imagine how my son would have navigated the process without the help of Shawn and his team.

From the first call with Shawn I knew that I had made the right choice for representation. I hired Shawn's firm to help me get a record sealed/expunged. Once they had agreed to take on the case, the process began quickly and was expertly handled with very little required of me. I met Shawn the morning of the scheduled hearing and he was able to get the expungement order signed by the judge without me even needing to appear.

I contacted Brandon to work a domestic case I was going through and I have to say picking him was the best choice I could have made. Brandon's knowledge on the law and procedures is amazing I was so impressed by his skill and the way he took the time to explain the whole process of what was going and what steps we should take to get the best possible outcome in my case. In the summer of ‘14, my wife and I hired Jenna Peyton to guide us through the immigration process (moving from Canada to the USA). My father contacted Ken Bossin when I was involved in a driving incident that had the potential of leaving me with a suspended license. Since we had never had the need for an attorney in this kind of matter, we were at a complete loss as to how to proceed. A relative supplied us with the names of several possible attorneys, one of whom introduced us to Mr. Bossin. When my father spoke with Mr. Bossin on the phone, we immediately stopped our search, being thoroughly impressed with the breadth of his knowledge and the depth of his experience. We found him approachable and very easy to work with. Throughout the period of moving this through the court system he was very clear about his goals and what he would need on my part to back up the case he was presenting. In October of 2023, I found myself in a situation that I would’ve never imagined being in. As a person who doesn’t even have as much as a parking ticket on my record, I was charged with theft from a local grocery store. My case was unique as I didn't intentionally take any items from the store, but was instead provided incorrect information by a store employee. Ken took the time to truly understand the circumstances and details of the sequence of events that actually happened and did not stop his work until the charges against me were dismissed. In all of the research that I did before deciding to hire an attorney, I did not see a single instance when charges like mine were just dismissed outright. Typically, for first time offenders the best outcome to a case like mine is being offered a diversion program in exchange for the charges being dropped. Even when the prosecutor offered me the opportunity to compete the diversion program, Ken still went to battle on my behalf and argued the facts of the case until the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the charges. I truly could not have asked for a better outcome or better representation. Ken was on my side every step of the way and I would recommend him to anyone seeking legal counsel, as you will not find someone who puts more time or effort into your case and truly cares about the outcome.

We hired Scott to handle my son's DUI case. There was a mental health aspect to his case and Scott dealt with it with compassion and respect. I got pulled over for a traffic violation and I literally didn’t do anything. I knew that I was being served for a quota by the highway patrol. He pulled me over illegally and then acted like he was doing me a favor by giving me a seat belt violation (I was wearing my seatbelt by the way…just had the shoulder strap below my breast because of an upcoming breast surgery). The officer never even told me about the 3 warnings he put down on my ticket (his reasoning for pulling me over was me touching the white safety line in the slow lane “supposedly”). I already know some of you are reading this like “it is a non-moving violation and I would have just paid it.” I heard that from attorneys actually whom I tried to hire. To me, it was the principal of the matter. I knew that I did nothing wrong and my insurance company would not guarantee they wouldn’t ding me for it. Plus, I was wearing my seat belt!! The crazy part is other attorneys were nonchalant saying they would charge $500 and there weren’t any guarantees. If an attorney is not confident run! Jeff Meadows was confident, even knew the highway patrol officer by name, and frequently goes into Hamilton’s courts! He requested the video and audio footage from the State Highway Patrol. When I was supposed to go to trial, Jeff called me stating not to bother, the case was dismissed!!! They didn’t even provide the footage requested and Jeff handled it like a pro!! I suspect that the footage incriminated the officer and with a competent and confident attorney like Jeff representing you, you are in the best position to win!! I can’t say enough good things about Jeff and his office staff! They call to remind you of court hearings and answer any questions too! Don’t hesitate to give Jeff and his firm a shot to win your case and represent you in the right way! Too many other attorneys want to get paid without caring if they win or not.

I had the privilege of getting Noah as a public defender back in 2014 I knew from the first time we talked that I had found my future attorney if need be and yes I ended up hiring him in 2021. I got an OVI in Oct. 2016 and did not realize that when my OVI was settled, the driving privileges I had until that point had to be re-approved (in other words, my driving privileges were revoked after the OVI was settled until the judge approved new driving privileges.) I accidentally backed into another car while my driving privileges were revoked, so I was charged with Driving under OVI Suspension, Improper Backing, and Leaving the Scene. Mark got the prosecutor to drop everything except Leaving the Scene, which means that I had no additional penalties except court costs. He was incredibly responsive, responding to my many questions within a couple hours, and very honest about the charges and penalties that I was facing.
Also, he's not too hard to look at. ;)
I highly recommend him to anyone facing a scary situation.
