Hugh's the man when it comes to criminal cases! I got a DUI back in July and this was my first time ever in trouble with the law. I decided to go with Hugh immediately after our consultation. He managed to get 2/3 of the charges dropped while reducing my DUI from enhanced to regular. He also kept me cool and level headed during a very stressful few months. Anytime I called he always had answers or results to show how my case was going. He got me the best deal you could ever imagine and I couldn't have been happier with him! If I ever have another problem or know someone who needs a lawyer, I'm calling Hugh ASAP! He knows the system in and out. As long as he's practicing he's my "permanent" attorney!

I was charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine in excess of 400grams that carries a 15years minimum and 50k fine if found guilty. It was an interesting set of circumstances but through everything, Hugh did a wonderful job keeping me informed on what his strategy was and executing his plan just as he said he would. I ended up only getting 2.5yrs probation and adjudication withheld on a lesser* F3 charge. I highly recommend Hugh McDonnell.

I would highly recommend anne to anyone looking for a lawyer that will get you results. Anne represented me on my VOP case and completely exceeded my expectations ! I was expecting to have to do at least 3 weeks in jail but anne had me in and out in exactly a week (which is highly unusual with VOP cases). She also was very understanding and worked with me after there were some complications with payments. The only complaint I had was she is a very busy attorney so sometimes it was hard to get in contact with her, but when I emailed her she usually got back to me same day, even after office hours so I would recommend email versus trying to call her. I cannot thank Anne enough for everything she did for me and for being so understanding. She truly believes the firms motto of "everyone deserves a second chance" and I highly recommend her !

Was given the run around for several months for a simple motion. Takes several emails just to get a response. First motion was filed incorrectly, then attorney told us to get contact info from professional so she could explain what needed to be done, and that the motion would be refiled with no extra charges Several weeks later after forwarding this information was told to do it ourselves. No problem should have just said so. Forwarded new evaluation from Professional no response for several weeks, then finally a response that it was filed but with no motion. They wanted to recharge to file a motion that they filed incorrectly. This is after four months of poor representation and delays plus the money spent ( several 100 dollars) on classes deemed unnecessary by professional. All this waste of time and money with no results for a simple Motion to Modify conditions of Probation. Would have hate to see what would have happened if this attorney was our representation in criminal procedures or at trial. All this after we had spent over $ 10,000 with this law firm.

I hired Thomas for a pending case in FL after I retained and paid for his services I never heard from him again besides one call I contacted him. I called court to see when my court date and the clerk told me the state dropped all charges. I called Mr Matthews to refund my money since I never used his services and he answered only to tell me he needed it to retain for another 90 days because the state could bring charges back up I said ok. I then proceeded to reach out for my retainer back and he blocked me won’t return my emails or voicemails. Mr Matthews took full advantage of me because I live out of state thinking he can keep my retainer. I never used his services or even talked my case over with him and never steeped in a court room. Do not use him he is bad businessman and will take full advantage of you too. He will promise you the world then leave you hanging and probably block you and not return your calls and keep your money. Just don’t want people to get screwed over like he screwed me because I’m out of state. Just putting this out there everyone needs to know what he did to me. I do not recommend Mr Matthews to anyone. Stay away.

Mr. Mathews is the absolute best. From the very beginning to the end and even after the case, he is always willing to listen and help. He helped me with my DUI case a few years ago and was able to get it dropped and expunged, with Pretrial Diversion. I don't usually write reviews, but this case was deserving. My family member had the bad misfortune of choosing Mr. Gallagher for his attorney. Right from the onset of the case he showed his lack of respect and incompetence for his client. He held on to the paperwork for his filling so long that my family member became the defendant where he should have been the plaintiff. Mr. Gallagher continued to to take his sweet time filling documents to the point my family member was reprimanded by the court! Mr. Gallagher to show a lack of respect for his client and the court by on more than one occasion falling asleep in court and not ounce objecting to anything. In my humble opinion Mr. Gallagher should be sanctioned or DISBARRED!

First and foremost, I want to point out that I do not write reviews often but due to my experience with Mr Gallaghers law firm I feel the need to warn those of you who work hard for the money you need to now spend on lawyer fees. At first glance this office presents itself as a “Father’s Rights” attorney that is willing to fight for your best interests. Once you have paid your dues you will just become another number and solely an income source. On July 30th I paid my retainer fee and signed all necessary paperwork for the firm to file my case (this was after I had to correct them due to many errors in the petition regarding my case that I spoke to them about in detail prior to our meeting). They did not file my case until a week later on August 6th. They were fully aware that time was of the essence due to the mother attempting to relocate my son without permission. Thankfully, I was adamant with them about being in contact with the process server once the case was finally filed because that is the only process that went semi-smoothly. They then filed a motion for contempt; after I expressed frustrations that the mother completed the move; without advising me that my case was not at the stage for a motion of contempt to hold up being that the petition had not been responded to as of yet. Of course, this cost a part of my retainer. I set up an in person meeting under the assumption I was going to be speaking with Kenneth Gallagher. My appointment apparently was with the secretary, Dale. He attempted to reassure me by letting me know that after my case is finally complete hopefully, I will be a little more at peace with a time-sharing schedule that will allow me weekends and holidays with my son. When I hired this firm, I was very vocal about what I wanted going in and being a weekend father was not it. My main goal was keeping my son local so that I can continue to be in his life full time and shared 50/50 custody. After this meeting I realized hiring this firm was a huge mistake. Going through the paternity process in courts when the other party is being difficult can be overwhelming and frustrating. & during this weak, stressful moment in my life the Law Office of Kenneth Gallagher chose to remind me every day of my current balance with them and that I would need to “add funds soon”. Montine, the paralegal in the office, is rude and does not at all empathize with her clients. Every phone call to their office felt like I was a burden. The only time I actually spoke with Kenneth Gallagher himself was prior to hiring him during the consultation and once more when he filed the motion for contempt. The last thing this office was supposed to handle for me was to provide a mandatory disclosure of my financials which I provided to them in full. Over 15 documents that I put together and organized for them for easy filing. THIS PAPERWORK WAS NEVER FILED! I fired Kenneth Gallagher and his office on 9/15. As of that date I have paid $3500 to them, and they are demanding that I still owe them over a grand. I have since hired a new lawyer and was attempting to gain access to all the documents I had sent to Kenneth Gallaghers office being that none of it was ever filed. My new Lawyer contacted the firm and spoke to Montine, which she confirmed was extremely rude to her as well, only to be turned down and told I am not allowed access to my personal files due to an open balance with them. The only thing this office did for me during the 6 weeks I was a client with them was file my initial petition, file a pointless motion for contempt and rob a hard-working father just trying to establish his paternal rights. I strongly encourage you to call a different attorney, one that cares about you, unless you want to take the chance of throwing away your money and ending up with a story like mines.

I first became a client of Mr. Griffin in 1998 as a result of an impending divorce. Carl provided guidance through the process and made it as bearable as possible. With the divorce came financial issues which resulted in a bankruptcy and child custody battle that lasted several years.
In the interim there have been several issues with the Department of Revenue because of my former wife but also incompetence of the part of the department. These issues were handled by Carl and his staff in a timely manner taking care of a lot of stress associated with the issues.
With so many attorneys in Orlando I have remained loyal to Carl and his wonderful staff as they have to me. I highly recommend this firm.

Please beware of this law firm and check with the NC State Bar about attorney Patrick Megaro’s reprimand to not practice law in our State.He was hired to represent me in an Equitable Distribution case. Megaro failed to file a transcripts contact Rule 70 with Alamance County Clerk of Courts office. He missed the deadline then missed the dates after that could have gotten us an extension. My only hope for an appeal was over!!! They didn’t even tell me till months later that the appeal never went through. And to add insult to injury he blamed me for not hiring a transcriber in time. That is a complete false statement. I was told they would hire someone, file the contract and I would pay the cost of transcripts. So I paid the transcriber that I had to locate and hire because they didn’t find one within the time restrictions according to NC Law. Little did I know that I paid $10,000 for nothing because they lost my hope for an appeal. This is an unethical and unprofessional law firm. Please check out Patrick Megaro’s loss of license to practice in the State of NC for many years.

I can't even begin to put into words my review for the ME Law Firm. I seriously could write a book. You know it's just a tough situation when you need to hire an attorney. Regardless of who's at fault or what is going on. It's a very emotionally tough position to be in. Adam Russo, Jon Eichelberger & staff are nothing short of amazing, wonderful people. Every email, phone call or text was handled with the upmost respect and treating us like human beings and not just another number. Although our situation was not unique, it was very stressful to say the least. It was nice to not be judged but to be told, everything will be okay and here's the plan of action and for it to be actually true. We were kept informed consistently, never kept in the dark, given great advice and able to speak to a live person. VERY unprofessional. His relative, Jason Hunchuck, is a realtor so Joseph's firm handles the closing process so they can both benefit. I sent escrow money for a deal then declined to move forward with the deal. It's customary for the escrow holding company to reach out to get the wiring instructions to send the money back. I never heard from Joseph and when I reached out to him, he tried to play coy and said that I did not reach out to him. THIS IS NOT HOW IT GOES. He held on to my money for an additional 3 days. Be weary when using this company for closings.

Why does this guy have a 4 star rating? I'm living witness that this attorney is the worse I even experience.he takes your money and never answer the phone. Hired mr lee when I was charged with a 1st degree felony. Robbery with a weapon. First plea was 6 years. It took 11 Months to fight but in the end Curtis got the charge reduced all the way down to a 3rd degree felony of aggravated assault with out intent to kill. And got me a plea for time served with 3 years probation. Curtis stayed in contact with my family and myself through out the entire process. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case.

The lawyer didn't look at the dashcam of the police. I was mentally ill, going in and out of the rehab for Schizophrenia and had a car crash.
The police wrote completely wrong details about the incident like I was in the car and they had to drag me out, when in reality I was waiting outside the car after I had the crash.
If he wanted he could have had the case dismissed, but he convinced my family for the plea deal. Since I was newly on medicine and didn't have my mental illness in control I signed the plea. Now I have a misdemeanor.
Like you know how lawyers represent you and find an angle to fight your case, this guy never did that.

First of all let me start by saying that i was legitimately guilty.im pretty sure thats the first thing i told him.i have already been to prison for 5 years for manufacturing meth and delvery and sales of that same meth. Then i got charged with the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Let me mention they had a confession. However forced. They had it and the judge allowed it.hear this next part loud and clear for you real criminals who read this.minmum mandatory for this charge is 3 years in prison.that means by law i can get no less than 3 years but thats exactly what happened. The way he operates in a courtroom is amazing.they changed prosecutors 3 times because in hearings he made them look like beginners. Until they got their best guy.a real hard ass for wanting to win.and in the end i did 6 hours in jail.he sent his personal bail bondsman to the jail and had my bail posted with no money. Yes .u read this right.he also took my case on payments. And when i fell behind he let me work off some cash.who does this?no one right.well the classy people at the nejame law firm did that but more specifically mike lafay did this..also i never had to take off work for court in this year long process.i think i went a total of three times.in the end i got four years probation after the case was over and i was serving my probation he continued to be my attorney. He filed for early term two times at no extra charge.and i have been a free man for two months now.i have gained my freedom and a friend from one bad ass lawyer.#superman @ Michael Lafay.
