I got my first dui Jan 2021 which involved an additional charge and resulted in probation. I violated my probation with another dui in may 2024 and that’s when I contacted David Simon. For this whole year I was anxious about getting jail time and David kept me informed the entire process. I only physically went to court twice and the whole process was smooth and easy and very guided. I was looking at potentially 6 months of jail but got 60 days of house arrest instead. I’m very happy with the result considering my situation and will be using his services in the future to help expunge my old charges and terminate probation early.

I reached out to Rick for some expert advice(after reading other reviews) regarding a family member's DUI arrest. He called me back right away with time sensitive(10 day window after receiving the arrest pink slip) advice on how to handle DMV hearing and the importance of ordering a copy of drivers license right away(all done online). I could tell right away he was an expert in this area of law, he wasted no time in giving me crucial information and by the time we ended the call, he was pretty much HIRED for the case. Rick takes care of everything, DMV hearing and court appearances/follow up. He keep you informed every step of the way and lets you know up front what to expect(as far a timeframes...things run slow with the DMV and the courts). I've been happy with his services. He responds quickly to e-mails, answers questions and always has a comforting vibe that makes me feel like everythings going to be ok. When it came time to discuss SR-22 insurance he referred me to Alondra Ambrosio. Alondra was my go to person for the insurance/DMV situation. You can tell she knows her stuff and has confidence....no umm's or let me get back to you on that. She gets its done quick and with ease. Both Rick and Alondra are just both so nice to work with...just genuinely wanting to help.

I hired Rick and he was professional, attentive, and genuinely empathetic to the situation I found myself in. My wife and I have been working with her oldest brother (85 yrs old) to help him with a Will and a Living Trust. For the past 3 years we have traveled from our home in Durand Mi. to San Diego to provide him with advice and provide any help he may need to get everything right. The more we worked the more complicated and confusing this procedure became, OMG were we Stumped. This year we decided we needed professional help. So, what do you do when your 2000 miles away and don't really know anybody in a big city like San Diego, GOOGLE IT! That's exactly what we did and came up with a bunch of names of attorneys that claim to be the best anywhere. We started making calls to see who we liked the best and would be able to take care of our issues. We left voice mails and asked to have someone contact us to set up a meeting. We encountered a few who were vague and after listening to what we needed really didn’t seem too interested. Then Jason, called us and we were so happy with his attitude and wiliness to complete the needed documents on a very short notice. Everyone in that firm seemed to want to help us get everything right, signed, and registered they even worked through the weekend. I completed a 7 week jury trial with Mr. Majd. Not many attorneys go to trial, let alone a trial that lasts almost two months. Trial lawyers get the best results. Period. We fought hard in court before a jury and judge who complimented us for fighting on behalf of a woman who alleged significant harm to her home. Joshua Price's name came up a few times in AA meetings, as the attorney anyone charged with a DUI will need. CHP wrote me up for a felony DUI for a .04% BAC level, and I instantly started researching attorneys. Choose Joshua because Josh focuses solely on DUI cases, he is the specialist with all DUI matters including DMV and Criminal cases. Josh was always upfront and responded to emails within a day. I followed his recommendations of preparing for the court date including AA meetings and MADD class.
At the end of the deal, Joshua was able to get the felony charges completely dismissed. Shortly after my case was completely dismissed, his office updated his website showing my case charges and results. The cases on his website are real, the results are real. Im living proof of it. I would recommend Joshua to anyone who was charged for DUI. Joshua is the first call, best call. He's worth every cent. It's your freedom.

I’m very grateful to Mr. Scott and his firm. We never felt like ‘clients.’ He viewed us as individuals of incalculable worth. He understood that we put the most difficult situation of our lives in his hands and he wasn’t going to let us down. It was obvious that Mr. Scott valued the truth and justice of our situation over his own ego. He is the farthest thing from the stereotypical attorney. Every attorney and paralegal in his office was equally qualified and motivated. Their work gave us peace of mind and confidence throughout the mediation and trial processes. They were extremely attentive to detail, and able to uncover significant details that we had not noticed despite being more intimately aware of the situation. They sifted through enormous amounts of data and properly distinguished the most important elements of the case from those of lesser importance. The storyline of our situation was patiently woven together over the course of the trial and the jury was not lacking any important elements. He was never too busy to answer a call, email or text. My husband and I called the law offices of David Chesney at his first court date they were super kind over the phone explained everything to us took our payment over the phone partial and let us make payments as the case was going forward any questions that we had we were answered promptly. They even called us and did a follow-up a few months later to see how we were doing. Absolute Professional! Jacob took my case after my unlawful DUI arrest. I was pulled over where the Officer proceeded to tell my the reason was for failing to signal. All while my blinker was on while he states this. When I told him my blinker is still on, he then changed it to, you have a plastic covering over your license plate( take that off if you have it). He then saw my passenger and stated "looks like she had a good time", what about you?. He the proceeded to pull me out of the car for a sobriety check. I didn't argue because I had nothing to worry about. I did explain that I and a disabled COMBAT Veteran so my knees aren't the best. He stated do your best, I laughed and said ok. Went through the whole test and passed with no problem. He the proceeded to give me a breathalyzer...5 times. Under first 4 times. The fifth over by literally nothing. They placed me in cuffs and arrested me. My passenger prescribed Jacob as a lawyer who specializes in military and veterans. He got me out ASAP without having to post bail. The following week after I recieved my paperwork. We saw they stated in their report that I was combative and that led to pursuing the arrest. BTW, I blew under at the station as well. Little did they realize, my passenger recorded the whole thing. When they brought it up, Jacob hit them with the recorreckless. Offered wet and wreckless...Jacob specializes in Military diversion so that was his play after they offered Wet and wreckless. He then presented my case as a decorated Military service member with no prior. Emphasizing that it would be an injustice to me and fellow Veterans. Asked if I was willing to go all the way. BIG YES!!! He then prescribed prior to trial, Military Diversion. In my experience as a proud service member, that was rarely approved. Well he got it done!!! To end this briefly, he said he could, and he did. Everything dismissed, esponged, and clean record. This guy is the truth, and loves helping us who defend or defended this country. Michael was not only very understanding and knowledgeable, he also gave me great comfort in my situation. I suffer from panic attacks as well as extreme anxiety and he went to court for me and handled the whole thing for me. At 20 years old I thought my life was over. I had 3 felonies that were all pending and going to be charged on me all at once, with one of them possibly giving me a strike. I contacted around 5 lawyers in the San Diego area that were asking me for outrages prices up front just to even meet up with me to discuss my cases. That’s when I met Michael L Stuart and he was the most professional criminal defense lawyer I have ever met. My license was suspended, so he even was able to show up at my house and discuss my cases with me and my parents. He showed up and was really professional and handled all three of my felony cases for a very reasonable price. I had possession of an unregistered firearm felony, assault felony, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell felony all pending at once. Once I hired him he immediately started working on my cases and was able to make reasonable payment plans and was very polite, respectful, professional, and all in all cared about me. Thanks to him, I was able to not get a strike on my record, and given a few months in prison with 6 months probation. Thanks to Mr. Stuart I have my freedom and life back, and am 2 years away from earning a college degree. I would highly recommend Mr. Stuart to anybody that’s made a mistake and is looking for an honest hard working lawyer.

I had been stopped for DUI, I got arrested and waited a whole year and no charges were brought against me. I contacted Mr. Pokorny's office and the said they would advise on what to do next. Mr. Pokorny called and to my surprise he returned all of my money that I had given him in the beginning!! Upon contacting Mr. James Pokorny's office, having used him when I was dealing with a juvenile violation, he was responsive and helped me resolve the case with a strong offer from the DA. Well, 10+ years later I received a Drunk in Public, and Mr. Pokorny and his associate Michele Gardenier again were there to help get me out of the situation. Pokorny referred me to one of his junior lawyers, Mr. Erik Bruner, who was absolutely fabulous.
Mr. Bruner had a close and respectful relationship with the City Attorney, making her more amenable to negotiation given the mutual respect. I had a pretty ugly police report, resulting from my attitude towards the officers which included slipping my (thin) wrists from the handcuffs twice, making rude/obnoxious comments, kicking and screaming, the whole gamut. Mr. Bruner managed to get me out of the situation largely scott free. He was able to get the DA to agree to entirely dismiss the case, as if nothing had ever occurred, provided I simply attend a few AA or NA meetings over a pre-specified time period. Very happy with this result. Had previously considered another attorney who acted as if the case would be impossible to get a reasonable deal, so I was shocked when Mr. Bruner was able to so quickly negotiate such an agreeable conclusion, after which my entire case disappears! I was shocked he was able to get such an attractive offer, in short time. GREAT ATTORNEYS, BOTH ERIK AND JAMES POKORNY!
ALSO, GREAT ASSOCIATE IN MICHELE GARDENIER, WHO WORKS FOR MR. POKORNY AND MR. BRUNER AND HANDLES MOST (IF NOT ALL) OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASPECTS OF THE CASE; SHE IS REALLY ON TOP IT!
My opinions here are particularly useful to someone evaluating a prospective attorney, as I had initially used a different attorney who failed to attend several required appearances; acted as if the case was impossible to overcome without harsh penalties; and clearly ran a lackluster operation from an administrative standpoint, hence the failed appearances discussed in the foregoing. I found it to be a huge relief once I had switched to Pokorny's offices and was working with Michele Gardenier, Erik Bruner and James Pokorny.

Ms. Irmer and her legal team represented me before the California Medical Board (CMB). I was facing discipline by the CMB because I resigned under investigation at a hospital I practiced in another state. At the advice of my attorney in that state, he advised me to resign because Peer Review at thathospital was unfair and futile. That state restricted my license but then rescinded the restriction after I completed additional training. Despite the restriction in the other state being rescinded, CMB was going to take action and discipline me because of statutory requirements. Ms, Irmer and Kimberly Elkin guided me through the CMB investigation with a successful strategy in showing I had corrected the problem in the other state and was doing well in my current job. They made many calls to the CMB in my behalf and developed a good rapport with the Board. In the end the CMB decided to drop discipline against me. Any discipline against me would have resulted in termination from insurance plans and eventually my job. Ms. Irmer and her team defended me beyond expectations and saved my career.

Patrick and Samantha did a fantastic job of prioritizing and getting the best possible outcome for what became a long and arduous case mainly due to COVID. I consulted with Patrick in September of 2019 and he walked me through what my options were and how things would look like to get my matter handled.
While navigating the court and DMV systems, the pandemic hit and everything became a waiting game. Fast forward to 2022, wanting to get the matter settled and a very determined district attorney, we ended up in trial and Patrick and Samantha showed up prepared and optimistic, guiding me through everything.
In the end, we received the outcome we were hoping for.

Simply put - I owe Patrick so much I can't make a Google review that really covers it. I went in for a simple issue that should have just gone away, but he treated it very seriously.
