Jessie is an excellent attorney. I hired him in 2007 as my divorce attorney. My husband and I ended up reconciling that year but I rehired Jessie in 2018. My divorce was difficult since my husband thought we would reconcile again. Jessie guided me through every part of the process. During the divorce I was in a car accident which he also handled for me. I was very surprised at the settlement he was able to get for me. I was really only looking to recoup what my insurance had paid and what I had paid out of pocket. He was able to get the max allowed under the car insurance policy. I have recommended Jessie to everyone I know that needs an attorney!!

I met Jessie in 2004 by referral from a friend for a family legal matter. Jessie provided excellent legal counsel and counseling during and after the completion of the matter. Jessie understands the DSM manual for psychological disturbances and applies it in both offensive and defensive instances. I had a very unpleasant experience with another local divorce attorney in the Charleston area. After finagling firing that attorney, I brought my case to Autumn and Cortney (one of her paralegals). They not only reassured me that they could get things wrapped up efficiently and they did just that. Autumn is highly responsive to her clients which I'm sure can be a challenge as many of us are very stressed and emotional during this process. She always answered my questions and let me know when and what to expect. Can't say enough about this attorney or everyone I encountered at this firm.

This firm assisted me in numerous personal and business transactions. Autumn Hazy navigated me through updating and amending my child custody agreement to secure additional time with my son. While she is a relatively new lawyer, she works with an experienced team of very well respected attorneys, including Tiffany Provence and David Causey. I enjoyed working with Ms. Hazy and this firm and have always been very impressed with the service I receive. My previous experience has involved large Charleston firms and I'm embarrassed to admit that I was paying 3-4 times as much for less service. Jessica took my family case without hesitation because she knew that I was being wronged by my ex-wife and her attorney despite me having a run in with the law during the course of the divorce. She was aggressive throughout the entire case and is extremely knowledgeable In family law and criminal law. My case is now over and I’m so happy with the results. I’m the custodial parent of my two daughters and I couldn’t have done it without Jessica. It’s extremely rare that the father becomes the custodial parent in South Carolina. Jessica showed that I was the more responsible parent and I’m truly grateful for her. I retained Larry Weidner to get custody of my children after my ex-wife married a sex offender. He and his team are very experienced, and handled everything quickly and professionally. I never had any trouble getting in touch with them, all calls were returned quickly, and all of my questions were answered completely. They were so helpful, I was able to concentrate on taking care of my kids - they did most of my worrying for me. I couldn't have asked for a better team on my side. After careful review of the details of my case Mr. Shaffer decided to take it. He was straightforward and didn't tell me things that he thought I wanted to hear. He took the time to explain the law to me and ensured me the law was on my side. People need to feel that they have someone on their side as well when they need legal representation . With his help and dedication the courts then saw that my convictions of 25 years and 15 years we're both unlawful and in doing so the court overturned both convictions. I had never met a lawyer that was for his clients like mr. Shaffer. I wish we had more attorneys like Tristan in our legal system to ensure that all people receive Justice.

If I could rate Mr. Shaffer as a 6 star I would do so. In March of 2017, I was charged with two felony counts of Domestic violence of a high and agervated nature. Obviously I highly disagreed with what I was facing. So I hired Tristan Shaffer, after several meetings with other lawyers. From day one he was one of the most understanding and open minded person I've met In my life, he sees both sides of your situation. He was always available if I needed to ask questions, or if I was concerned about something, there were also a couple of weekends that I was able to contact him, from what I have researched that's very rare for an attorney to be available over the weekend. He obviously worked his tail off for my case because He was able to get one of the 2 charges I had completely dismissed which then left me with 1 high and aggravated nature at that time, he was able to get that charge dropped to a second degree assault and battery which is a misdemeanor. I was looking at a 40 year sentence With the 2 original charges combined. He is a straight to the point aggressive lawyer in the courtroom who makes very good points and is able to backup his research and is always prepared , And from what I witnessed I saw that he also had good relationships with the prosecutors of the state which to me is very important, I cannot thank Mr. Shaffer enough, he was great with my family as well as with me. I highly recommend Mr. Shaffer for anyone who has any kind of criminal charges pending against them. He literally saved my reputation and my job, And now because of him me and my wife are able to move on from all of this. Thank you again Mr. Shaffer.

Attorney Holmes is a "God send" to my family.
Not to call names but a few attorneys in Hilton Head, prior to having the honor of working with Attorney Holmes, did not seem to care about my concerns, which led to frustration on my behalf because I felt I was doing the right thing by reaching out to them, being that I reside out of state, and to be honest with you all, while in court one of the previous attorney told me to "Shut up!!!"
I am a conscience person so I know I was not being disrespectful, maybe honest concerning myself but I was ready to put the drama behind me so if it meant coming clean in court and being transparent with the judge...I was ready. However, those attempts only lead to me making more mistakes trying to fix things on my own.
Attorney Holmes resolved those issues for me and instead of getting frustrated thinking I am on my own in this situation, Attorney Holmes has definitely reduced my anxiety and I know I have an Attorney in my corner who cares about what is right.
