I was arrested for DUI unfortunately as my 2nd offense, Matthew represented me previously for a Criminal Mischief charge as-well. I honestly believe neither cases could have gone any better! Point blank he knows his stuff, it’s not just a Career for him it’s a passion. He has successfully been doing this a very long time. I was fortunate enough to see first hand how the system works and also witness the amount of respect so many different people within the judicial system have for him. He will ethically represent you, tell you early on what to expect, what will work and what won’t. He works with you and doesn’t just tell you what to do. He kept me informed during the process and was personally there with me during each step. I hired Matt in 2011 because of felony charges I was facing. I was guilty and there was no real way to avoid any of it but Matt was able to get me the best possible outcome. I cannot imagine where I would have been if not for his help. Most recently I hired him to get changes made to my probation orders. I was a little more than half way through with probation and had thought about early termination but did not think it was really possible in my case. We decided to see if it was possible and at the very least get the probation orders changed. I did not expect to get off but Matt somehow got me off probation early. I cannot recommend him enough. If he decides to take your case then he will do everything he can for you.

Raj was the prosecuting attorney who was fighting AGAINST me therefore I expected to be treated as such. Not at all. He was not only professional and honest, he was helpful and a HUMAN. Mr. Finnerty was assigned to my case almost four years after its original pre Covid filing date in 2019 tasking him with a tremendous amount of catching up to do. He learned the ins and outs of my and my husband’s complex 13 charge case in a very short amount of time and navigated all of the depositions far better than we could have hoped for. Laurel was originally my attorney in a DUI case. She was with the public defenders office. I've had a few legal problems, but Laurel was the best attorney I've ever had. Twice I paid thousands of dollars to private lawyers and they weren't half as smart or on top of things as Laurel.
Sadly, I had court today. I thought Laurel was still my attorney, but the guy they put me with was fresh out of school and I felt he didn't care what happened. Plea, plea, plea. My case is screwed. I won't get too personal, but now my life is pretty much ruined. All because I blew a .04 and took some prescriptions you shouldn't drink with. Rather drink in excess that is.
