Stephen Pfeiffer was very upfront with outcomes so we could figure out what options we were working with. We greatly appreciate what you did for us at the end. Although we didn’t get the results we were wishing for we are aware there are always consequences to not abiding to the law. I can say he did great in helping us out as much as possible when it came to my husband’s situation.

I hired Mr. Mitchell to assist with the very sad but necessary eviction of a family member from a townhouse. Mr. Mitchell was always prompt, courteous and professional in all our communication, which was made more challenging due to me living out of state. He informed me thoroughly of my legal rights and responsibilities and of legal actions to be taken in various circumstances. He coached me well in how to communicate with the family member tenant in order to comply with the law and get the best outcome. He took care of serving the tenant the written notice. And because of this, we a had the best outcome considering the very difficult and unfortunate circumstances. Should I need a lawyer in VA Beach again, I will definitely reach out to him.

Frugal Legal Services should be the staple for how all parents are represented in custody cases. Ms. Burroughs worked hard and diligently on my case and set realistic expectations. My case had a ton of unrelated issues to custody and Ms. Burroughs was completely understanding and worked through our nearly 9 month case. Ms. Burroughs is a magical and enlightening person who gets results. I went from having no contact with my children to now everything is 50/50 and I get to see my sons every other week and have the assurance that no one should be able to change that. The only shame here is that I can only give Ms. Burroughs and Frugal Legal Services 5 stars because it doesn’t let you show off the absolute brilliance of the firm or Ms. Burroughs. Ms. Burroughs and Frugal Legal Services are the prime and top option of any family matters should anyone require those services. Mr. Yates is a great lawyer. He knows the laws and my DUI case was dismissed. He was very compassionate with my situation. We used him 30 years ago on another matter and he was able to mediate and make both parties happy. His rates are reasonable and far less than others that quoted. Talk about professional. Mr Yates will tell you the ins and outs of your case. This was my first time dealing with Johnny Law so by nature I was nervous. They always say go with your first instinct and that's what I did. So I called Mr Yates and the receptionist was as calm as possible and very embarrassing. She told me with confidence "Mr Yates is the man for you and he'll take care of you" from there I set up a meeting. I can admit I was nervous speaking with him but he reassured me that "I'll do what's best for you" he was straight forward but tactful in his delivery, but I knew he was the man for my case. On the day of the trail he smiled and told me worse case scenario. But as they say in wrestling "for every move there is a counter and for every counter there's a move." When I say he was well prepared that's an understatement. We walk into the court room and less than 10 minutes dismissed! He's well worth every penny.

It's quite disgusting and sad when you call to try and get a consultation. The receptionist who answered the call has an attitude, a disgusting tone of voice. Just makes you're not even when I talk to talk to anyone in this firm it's like what just happened to me. I don't even want to know about the firm just because of the nasty attitude. I recently hired Mr. Louie to defend a charge of speeding at 80mph in a 55mph zone. As an out of state resident, I was surprised to learn that this is automatically considered reckless driving in Virginia, which itself is considered a misdemeanor in the state. Mr. Louie's counsel resulted in a proper outcome which was in line with our goal of avoiding a reckless driving charge.
Both Mr. Louie and his staff were professional and attentive throughout the process, and his experience is demonstrated by his knowledge and calming presence. It is obvious that Mr. Louie has a strong working relationship with many parties in the Virginia Beach area. I believe that this is an asset for an area with such a large out of state/military population and relatively harsh traffic laws. Overall great job!

I was pulled over for going 37 over the limit. I did not know how strict the laws in VA since I'm from NJ. I had called several lawyers who I just didn't trust or like. So I went with my gut and chose Peter Louie. My instinct was spot on. Peter is realistic, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. I was facing jail, license suspension, a misdemeanor and a $3500 fine. I walked away with a $400 dollar fine. Everything else was dropped, no jail . no 3500 dollar fine, no suspension and no misdemeanor.
Do as Peter says and all will be alright. I highly recommend Peter Louie and his firm.
