Mrs. Jessica and her team was the most efficient, hands on law firm that I have ever experienced. I called them last minute, maybe like two days before my custody hearing and they were able to get me in and out of court with a successful trial and a win for my family and I. At the suggestion of my daughter, I called Jessica 5 days before the statute of limitations date for my personal injury case. I hired Ms. Messman a few years ago for my divorce/custody after spending 5 years with another law firm & wasting thousands of dollars to get nowhere. Ms. Messman got my divorce finalized and sole custody of my children in less than a year & only charged me a couple of thousand dollars. The other law firm drug their feet and charged me $60,000 grand over a 5 year period. I'm so glad I found Ms. Messman.

I was with another firm for over two years. They drained my bank account, my hope, and I felt like a pawn in my own custody battle. I sought Mykell out after a terrible experience where I felt my attorney at the time didn’t know how to represent my case. I had an initial meeting, we talked about what was important to me and once accepted Mykell literally heard everything I said, as a single mom, and went from there. We didn’t have a bunch of consultations that she billed me obscene amounts, we had two. She went to court and she FOUGHT for my babies and for me. She fought for everyone’s best interests, she was amazing. She told me from the beginning we’re not doing this whole “petty” thing which I 100% respect because my previous lawyer told me to call them about everything, and they billed me accordingly. She said call me when you NEED me and gave me her personal cell. After two and a half years for the first time I felt HEARD with her without repeating myself twenty times. I felt SAFE with her and I knew she was looking out for EVERYONE. She was everything I needed from the beginning and more. I hired Lugar Law of Roanoke, VA on May 4, 2020 to represent me in regards to a speeding ticket I received in Roanoke County. At first I was pleased with their responsiveness and they quoted me a fee of $150.00 for them to represent me, which was considerably cheaper than other law firms that I had spoken to. I paid the fee and sent them a copy of my insurance verification and a copy of the ticket. At Cerid Lugar’s instruction I had my speedometer calibrated and emailed the firm a copy of the results. They in turn sent me an email showing a letter that they sent to a judge, noting that my speedometer was inaccurate. I was content that the matter was being taken care of. On Friday, May 22, I received a call from the admin at Lugar law stating that they had erred, and that they thought the speeding ticket had been issued in Franklin County instead of Roanoke County. I found this to be a bit incredulous given that they had a copy of the speeding ticket and it states clearly in boldface red letters ROANOKE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT. The admin advised that since the offence happened in Roanoke County instead of Franklin county, that the fee would be $700 instead of the $150, which I had already paid. I was shocked to say the least. I had spoken to a few other lawyers in the area and the average fee was $360.00 and if Lugar Law had stated that ballpark figure, I would not have been that dumbfounded but an increase of FIVE HUNDRED and FIFTY DOLLARS??? The admin stated she would talk to Cerid Lugar and see if she would consider a compromise given that I had already paid the fee and the ERROR was due to Lugar Law, but she called me back and stated that Cerid Lugar would not lower the fee. At no point did Cerid Lugar call me to offer any detailed explanation or apology. I FIRED the law firm on the spot and demanded a refund, advising I would seek representation elsewhere. The fact that Lugar Law made such an egregious error and the fact that they were unwilling to acknowledge or accept responsibility for that error speaks volumes to their unprofessionalism. Attorneys are supposed to act in their client’s defense and a lot of trust is placed in them. Having that trust violated is a serious betrayal and what Lugar Law did to me felt like a SHAKEDOWN. If you are considering hiring them, I would advise you to FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Who knows how much they might SQUEEZE you for.

At the end of 2017 I purchased a vehicle and learned a couple months later after having some issues with the vehicle, that the odometer had been rolled back. I called at least 10 attorneys in the area and was told by a few that there was nothing I could do and then by the rest that my case was too complicated to pursue.... Luckily I found Cerid just before I decided to give up. Not only did she get my settled for a fair amount she also showed that my Fair Credit Reporting Rights had been violated and that became part of my settlement. Cerid is a straightforward and honest attorney who doesn't say what you want to hear but rather says what you need to hear. She is an amazing attorney and my family and I are very grateful to have found her! She is also great with communicating the case details! The did far more than I could have hoped. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an attorney in her area.

I first came across Mr. Foltz at the courthouse where I was struggling to get out of a very difficult eviction case for my tenants, who not only refuse to leave our premises, but also assaulted and threatened my family and I. Mr. Foltz overheard my conversation with the court clerk and offered to help. He introduced himself and asked me to explain the situation, which I did. He immediately assured me that he will be willing to help. We discussed his fee, which was out of my budget so he offered to take the case at no charge. He understood how stressful my situation seemed and wanted to help. I was truly shocked and grateful. Since then, he maintained in contact with me and walked me through the process every step of the way. He also appeared to all the court dates with me and not once made me feel that he was doing me a favor by taking my case at no charge. I had a question about a landlord-tenant issue, and was calling lawyer after lawyer to ask them about my situation, only to be ignored or told I’d have to pay around $300 for them to say ANYTHING to me. Mr quitiquit has restored my hopes in what a lawyer actually represents. YOU are absolutely his main concern when going into a court room. He gives no false hopes but does at the very least the best job he can possibly do. He represented a friend of mine and was absolutely amazing. The modern Columbo...without the cigar. Lol. Daniel Fast is by far the absolute best attorney I have ever worked with. We have come to know Attorney Daniel Fast over two years and three different court cases for custody and visitation of my children. These were cases involving families from three different states. We found ourselves dealing with a serious issue with our child doing something very stupid. Kids make mistakes and do dumb things. Just as ours was getting ready to head off to college - the kid did what kids do and got caught. Serious offense and the potential to really ruin the rest of his/her life let alone lose everything in college. Chris made my child feel better, let him/her know the gravity of the situation. My child did community service ahead of court and Chris saved my child's future. I can't say enough about how he took a really serious issue and lead able to give my child a fresh start after a really dumb move, my child can now move on with life. Sooo Mr. Boyko was my court appointed attorney. I called his office 4 separate occasions. No call back. I still had to show up in court, and surprise, surprise he did not show up.... So as you can imagine I let the judge know, and it was continued and I decided to hire my own... it's all about the money, if you are willing to spend I'm quite sure he will represent you well, however if you have other financial circumstances.... go a different route.

I was represented by Mr. Jeremiah Denton in a complex case spanning over two years involving custody of children, a veteran, complex mental health issues, financial issues and much more. The outcome I sought was very rarely granted in the state of Virginia. However, it was granted in my favor. Crystal was an exceptional lawyer for me in 1999 as a public defender for a second degree murder charge. She was never judge mental and always had my best intrest!! She was assigned as my lawyer by the court in Fairfax as I knew no one there. She assisted me in obtaining bail, then prepared my defense. She was successful in that and all charges were dropped. She prefers to keep her defense approach to herself, not doing a lot to make a client feel at ease during the process. I had at the time of she was my lawyer, in 2009, delt with several lawyers in the past. She was the only one that was more interested in my case than whatever money could be extracted from me.
