I was here reviewing my current lawyer, and thought “why not leave my first lawyer a review”?
Nick got me everything I needed in my initial divorce petition and temporary orders. Even majority custody of my children due to DV which was amazing.
His downfall - Not wanting/ability to withstand a long holding case. *Important for people in my DV similar circumstance*
Once my temporary divorce orders passed, he did not want to continue the case because in his words allegedly over a phone call “If your ex is the abuser you claim him to be and his family has money, I’d feel guilty taking any more money from you because your ex will not relent”. - which is valid, but not comital.
Detrimental to anyone experiencing relentless Domestic Violence.
Note: He DID cover a extra hearing he wasn’t required to under our contract. - This leaves me believing there was a miscommunication between expertise and compensation. I didn't understand that at the time. I wish he was more transparent. He could’ve billed me and I’d have paid him.
Then over a phone call told me it’d cost be $15,000.00 upfront to deal with someone like my ex husband. That was saddening.
Where did that leave me? Having to find another attorney to learn my details. Finding another attorney who understood that amount was unrealistic (for myself) upfront.
He was also hesitant in believing my domestic violence claims. Which is already hard as a survivor and not something you need extra from your lawyer.
Nick did get confused on travel dates I had (I mentioned to him at least 3 times) which caused me to have to purchase extra tickets to return for a child exchange. He blamed me for not reminding him prior to the hearing - but he knew I had mentioned it in general. He generously offered to pay for return tickets acknowledging it was his mistake. This was extra gracious of him.
But if you’re needing a long-standing attorney - who isn’t just in it for the wam and bam, this might make practice questionable. Only leaving my open opinion here for those in a situation similar to mine and looking for long-standing representation.
He did amazing law wise is good hearted. But maybe not so much for my extensive needs and being transparent. Which is critical in a relentless DV case like mine. Now I’m happily continuously paying a different attorney. No billing confusion and they’ve learned my details since the beginning of my case. Like everything in life trial and error - not all (people) attorneys are for everyone and that’s totally okay. Nick was great but it didn’t match

I met with several defense attorneys from an online search after being charged with a DUI, all of which were qualified and personable. But David was referred to me through a family attorney and I immediately knew once meeting with him that he would be the best fit to represent me. I represented myself in a civil protection order case for almost two years. It was exhausting and took a huge toll on my mental and physical health. I was extremely stressed and scared because I had been charged with driving while license was suspended, a gross misdemeanor, in Benton county which is hours away from where I live. I was also unable to make it to court because I couldn't drive and they didn't respond to my request to appear online, so I had an FTA and warrant on top of it. I was definitely facing jail time.
Joyce took care of everything and the DWLS2 was amended to a minor infraction with only a small fine. I didn't even have to appear, in person or virtually. I absolutely, 100% recommend her and I'm grateful that I was referred to her. This issue had been keeping me anxiously awake at night for months and now its all gone. Thank you Joyce!!!

From the first consultation, and throughout the entire process, Prairie was amazing. Megan made the whole DUI process a lot less intimidating. She gave me all the info on what I needed to do and got me all the DOL paper work instead of me having to round it all up. She took my case to a Jury trial because the prosecutor thought he had it in the bag. After she told the jury all the evidence it was dropped to a lesser charge. I was happy with the outcome and would hire Megan again.

I received a driving infraction for "per electronic device while driving" from the WSP in Pierce County, WA. I chose Ms. Gallinger because she has a very good reputation within our community (Military). I also found that Ms. Gallinger has a good reputation within our local area so I felt confident that she could help with this issue. Also, I was charged a reasonable flat fee for service. I liked the fact that I did not have to take time out of my day to meet with her or even to show up at the courthouse. My case was dismissed so I don't have to talk to my insurance or my employer about what happened. Meaning that I don't have to spend more money on insurance and I don't have to deal with my bosses and listen to them about how this looks on our organization. Thank you Ms. Gallinger, if I ever need a traffic attorney again, you’re at the top of my list.

Greg is a fantastic attorney. I hired him for a complicated case that I thought was resolved. It was very frightening to receive a letter out of the blue from the court but Greg was excellent at talking me through the specifics. He was honest and upfront about what could happen. There is no better DUI lawyer than David O. As a former prosecutor, he has built relationships with that offense that allow him to more effectively mitigate your circumstances. He resolved two DUI for me. I errored at a young age and he allowed me to get out of it. He'll instruct you from start to finish and emphasize handling necessities in advance as to show you're taking it seriously to the judge. You can find "cheaper" lawyers, but they aren't better. You pay for what you get.

From the cuffs to the never-ending court proceedings, having a DUI charge may be a terrifying experience, and I am grateful I had David O by my side every step of the way! Attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, David ensured my every need was met. Prior to every court proceeding David always made sure I was prepared, and there were no surprises, he even answered questions I didn’t know I had! Although having a strong lawyer in your corner is extremely important, David is much more. Going through the courts takes several months, many proceedings, and a considerable amount of paperwork, David always made sure I was at ease. Honestly, many times it felt like I had a friend, not just an attorney.
When you are dealing with DUI charges, it’s not a cheap process, with or without a lawyer. If you are going to invest in someone, invest in David! Overall, I thought his prices were fair, and he turned the money into magic! I was facing a DUI, but through David’s negotiation skills and knowledge of the law, he was able to get the charges significantly downgraded!
I've seen the outcomes of others who opted not to hire a lawyer or who hired a different attorney, and I have to say, David delivered the best results.

First and foremost, my wife and I are extremely appreciative of the Roy Law Group. They are now family to us and we could not have dealt with the insurance company alone. The people that work for Roy Law Group took us on and walked us through every step of the long process. I wish we could recommend them higher than this review. Our story of "why" we recommend Roy Law Group. My wife suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a horrific automobile accident and epilepsy. At first, her short term employment disability kicked in without any issues. We noticed a change in the disability insurance as my wife's treatments continued past the six month mark. We were told by the insurance company she was not going to receive long-term disability. The insurance company lied stating long-term disability was not selected for her at time of employment. Being she has TBI it was very difficult for her to understand what was happening. I had to do the work to find her original employment signing paperwork showing she had signed up, checked the box, and paid for this service. This was the first time we realized the insurance company was not here to "help" my wife. During this stage we received many complicated paperwork assignments from the insurance company and threats she was going to be dropped from coverage. You could feel the insurance company just wanted us to give up so they could save money. They do not care about your actual wellbeing. We did not give up like they wanted us to do. Months prior to the one year mark the threats became real as the insurance company randomly sent my wife a denial of coverage letter. They gave a ridiculous reason stating they felt she was fine now and was dropping her from long-term coverage again. Mind you, she had only been on long-term disability for a few months. Even though she was still receiving medical services and had multiple doctors stating the opposite. We did not accept the insurance games anymore and looked for help. Thankfully we talked with the Row Law Group. They are amazing people from the start and tell you up front what they will do. No false promises, as they walk you through realistically if they were able or not able to help and why. Luckily for us they saw what the insurance company was doing and had dealt with this same company many times. I love the fact they listen to your situation and you know they are in the fight with you. I have never seen complete strangers be an advocate for the truth and justice like the Row Law Group is. Over the process I could not imagine anyone else doing such an amazing tailored job to our situation as them. We have now had my wife's long term disabilities reinstated and now moving forward the insurance company has to still deal with our protectors the Row Law Group. If you are going through the ringer and fighting with an insurance company over short/long-term disability just stop the stress and fight alone. Don't delay like we did just CALL Row Law Group now. I wish we had called them earlier and my wife would not have had to cry or worry as much during the earliest stages of the fight. Our family is so grateful to the Row Law Group.

I retained Steve after getting stopped in Leavenworth for a DUI after a night at Oktoberfest and a weekend with friends. This was my second arrest for DUI after getting my previous one 5 years before. That one was dropped to a negligent originally but came back up due to this Arrest. A family friend called me distraught several months ago. Their son - young, well behaved, never before in trouble with the law - had been accused of a serious offense. The police were investigating. The family did not speak English and needed help finding a lawyer and interpreting.
I had no idea what lawyer to suggest. Some I called requested astronomical hourly rates. By grace, I found and suggested Mr. Meryhew.
Mr. Meryhew was fair minded in his fee structure, skilled in relating to people even those from a different culture, and a good lawyer. We received good news this morning that the young man is no longer under investigation and the allegations against him were found to be groundless.

Our situation was rather unique as I hired Steve to represent my Brother in Law for a DUI who had dementia. I live in Texas and with the pandemic it made it impossible to travel to Washington State. Shortly after the DUI, we had to admit my brother in law to a Memory Care Facility. I was in a terrible accident while driving down Grady way in Renton Washington. I searched top lawyers near me and Linda Callahan popped up and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I chose to go with them!!! Wonderful Service and Representation, exonerating of all false claims! I am not from Seattle, was traveling for business and was set up. A big portion of my job involves driving, so when I recently received a traffic infraction I decided to look into options rather than just “lying down” and allowing it to go onto my driving record. I went off reviews and they live up true to what they say. Christal Lam’s whole team was fantastic and very communicative and upfront about what to expect. Adrienne is another notable member that was wonderful to interact with. They were able to get the ridiculous speeding ticket off my record and just to a non-moving violation. Either way, this was worth every penny and they more than deserve it. Mark's a great guy. It was very comforting to know that he was on top of everything. Like when the court lost track of certain paperwork, and they wanted me to go back for resentencing, after I had completed my 15 day EHM. All I had to do was text mark, and it was all fixed. The legal system is about relationships IE prosecutor ,judge, victim mark knows this and he works those angles very well with a mixture of your case and back ground and legal maneuvers you will get a favorable result at least I did twice. both cases were dv cases one no contact violation, second dv assault result both cases were dismissed after small fine and some community service, 6 month dv class but not misdemeanors . one in king county superior court the second fife municipal court.
