My wife and I came to visit Wisconsin last year for some R and R and unfortunately found ourselves in need of an attorney. What we thought to be a simple misunderstanding quickly escalated into more and we found ourselves in a desperate situation doing our best to research available attorneys with experience and a good reputation in the area. Neither my wife or I have a record or have ever been in trouble so to speak, so we found it a bit overwhelming in differentiating which attorney would be the right fit for us so to speak. We came across a lot of attorneys but ultimately decided to go with Adam Welch. Upon our research we found Adam to be listed as Wisconsin elite when it came to law and trial cases. After retaining Adam's services, it was beyond apparent why. Not only did he live up to everything we read online and then some...He had a very polite and kind demeanor and it was obvious he cared. Let me say that again. I whole hearted believe that not only did he care, but he had our best interests in mind. Now a days, that's a hard found quality in any line of work. It did not go unnoticed. After almost a year of dealing with a less than desirable District attorney, Adam stuck to his guns and we ended up going to trial. Again, neither my wife and I have ever been through anything like this and it was beyond a little nerve racking to say the least. Adam was cool, calm and collect and reassuring the entire time. In fact, not only during the trial, but the entire time for the last year any time we needed Adam made himself available. Ultimately, a not guilty verdict was had which was what we were hoping for and thank goodness we can finally start to put all this behind us. Adam was incredible throughout my entire OWI case. From being the only attorney I contacted that instilled a sense of confidence in me, to always being available to answer my questions and calm my nervousness, to keeping me informed through every step of the case I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney. James was thorough diligent very informal and he inspired me the most that he had an sincere concern about little old me. Yolanda defended me in my case, she helped me avoid a jail sentencing. I really do appreciate her hard work with my case. She explained to the judge that my crime wasn't as severe as it seemed and the reasons to why in a very professional way. I was on probation at the time and had violated it unknowingly and she helped explain that to the judge. While on probation I was unable to leave my county and I did so unknowingly while taking someone to a doctors appointment, I wasn't even a mile out of the county. She helped my case get demised.

Yolanda Gauna went above and beyond all expectations throughout our whole acquaintance. She was prompt and informed every time we met. Before ever giving him a dime, Tim took an hour out of his day to help me decipher my case and lay out my options. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly cares. He knows the OWI laws in Wisconsin are primarily a fee tax on the public, the field sobriety tests are designed for even sober drivers to fail, and the state statute limiting negotiated settlement before trial a ridiculous encumbrance. I was fortunate that Andrea Winder represented me.
They charged me with 2 offenses, one of which is serious enough to tarnish my reputation and threaten my employment. Thankfully, within 24 hours of describing the case to Andrea, she had negotiated a reduced charge, the more serious charge dropped.

I had to file an appeal, due to several mistakes made with my original defense team. I was appointed Attorney Mann. We spoke several times, he listened, he read my documents, and we met months later in court. He is the best lawyer, also, honest! It's hard to find an honest defense attorney. Franklin did an excellent job with our custody battle. He understood the court system and what was needed. We hired Franklin in the during the summer and he made a point to hold a hearing in Aug so my daughter could be enrolled in our school system. We were able to show the courts how well she did during the year at our house and in school. During this time, Franklin had instructed us as to what documents we needed to obtain. I wish I could give 100 stars, 5 just isn't enough. Mr. Binder is an outstanding lawyer and anyone should have the utmost confidence when hiring him.
I hired him for a drug related case vs the State of Wisconsin. I was facing 9 felony charges. The most serious one up to 40 years in prison and the others weren't much better; together they totaled 143 years maximum imprisonment exposure. On top of this, the prosecutor was no slouch, quite the opposite in fact, lots of prison is always what he wants and he doesn't budge on that. This prosecutor actively tried to make my charges sound worse than they really were to the judge during the hearings to a blatant degree; I got the feeling the State really wanted to put me away for a long time, which was terrifying.
From day one I always got the impression that Mr. Binder worked tirelessly on my case, doing everything and researching everything that he possibly could to get me the best decision possible. I also got the impression that he genuinely cared about my wellbeing and was invested in the outcome of my case far past any payment, and I was right (read to end to see why). To begin, Mr. Binder and his firm secured my bail at $5000, when the State asked for $100,000. Mr. Binder poured over every piece of evidence while crafting my defense and kept me in the loop the entire time. He was able to successfully elongate my case, always getting at least 3 months between hearings, if not more. In conjunction with that, he gave me tips and ideas on what I could do to best boost my chances of a favorable verdict, which turned out to be very helpful. As a result, I had the time I needed to follow through with his suggestions and I am confident that they saved me a lot of prison time. Throughout the case Mr. Binder made himself available whenever I had questions or concerns and he always took the time to explain everything in great detail to me; often times this would take up hours of his time and I always felt as though he was glad to do it. The initial plea offer from the State was 8 years in prison, which Mr. Binder thought was unnecessarily high and he was able to get the plea down to some amount of prison time, left to the Court's decision, with the ability for the Defense to argue. With this prosecutor that seemed like magic. In the end, he was able to argue for 4 years of probation with 9 months of condition time (3 months straight time, 6 months Huber) and an imposed and stayed sentence of a few years. I was not fined at all, and I was able to get a report date 1 month out from my sentence date instead of being taken to jail right after sentencing. This is where most lawyers would end it, but not Mr. Binder. He continued to keep in contact with me and help me navigate the Huber situation; he reached out multiple times to the HOC in attempts to get information from them, get them to guarantee my release for Huber (HOC makes their own rules and can just ignore what the judge says, doesn't make sense at all, broken system) and possibly get me electronic monitoring instead (still up in the air, but probably a no due to my charges, nothing he can do about that). The HOC is wholly incompetent in every regard, yet Mr. Binder keeps trying, and keep in mind, he is not obligated to at all, my case is over, he can walk away anytime he wants, but he's choosing to go far above and beyond and it's fantastic. Mr. Binder is not just a phenomenal lawyer, he is a phenomenal human being as well, and it shows in many ways. He is the type of lawyer that all others should strive to be like and live up to.
The bottom line is, hiring Mr. Binder was the best decision I could have made. If you want a truly outstanding lawyer who will do everything he can for you and treat you like his friend or family, Mr. Binder is your man. Do not hesitate to hire him.

I was pretty devastated about my situation until I called John. He had been recommended to me by someone I trust and almost immediately made me feel better about what was going on. We sat down and talked. By the end of the conversation, I was sure I picked the right guy. From then on, he had everything under control. Any time something came up, he handled it and let me know. Every time I asked him something, he had the answer or got back to me right away. I once called hm in a panic because I missed a form in the mail and thought I was going to lose my license. He had already submitted the form for me. I called him when my scram broke and fell off in the middle of the night and he got ahold of all the right people and I was able to make it right without me being non compliant. This court appearance was one of biggest things to happen in my life. This was going to change everything. I can’t believe the relief I felt when I walked away with a dismissal. John got me through one of the roughest patches in my life. His help was worth every penny. I will absolutely be recommending him to anyone I know that finds themselves where I found myself.

Attorney Nicholas Gansner acted very quickly in response to allegations about 2nd degree sexual assault from 3 and a half years prior to the report. He took his time to gather all of the facts and spoke with the investigating detective on my behalf. Nick kept me updated and informed about the strategies he was taking while working with the detective. I left all of the work to him and he took care of everything. Ultimately, the case never made it past the initial investigation and was never forwarded to the district’s attorney’s office. He was nearly always available by call, text, or email—even responding late at night sometimes. If he was not immediately available, he would reply as soon as he could. I would highly recommend hiring attorney Gansner.

Attorney Gansner worked on my very difficult and emotionally draining case for around 2 years. My confidence in him NEVER wavered! When I had things to say, he really listened and took note. I got a fifth owi the da wanted to give me a felony charge six months in jail three years no license and a hefty fine. I called Steve Mays he said I should have called sooner I paid him half up front and he let me make payment's for the rest which was great. Steve went to work right away I had no more court dates to attend about a year later he got rid of a prior owi so I didn't get the felony charge my fine is only 600 bucks and 45 day's jail. I'm just laughing at the da now that's a slap on the wrist. Steve was excellent to work with he took care of everything and his assistant Melissa was amazing to work with.These guys know exactly what they are doing and won't waste your money couldn't be more thrilled very happy with the way everything turned out. I found myself in a situation which I consider to be the darkest period of my life.
Not only was Mr. Mays able to have some of what I was charged with dropped but was also able to have the remaining charge reduced in severity to its lowest level.
More so, he advised on and helped me deal with some of the fall-out of my situation that I didn't think he was required to do.
I've heard and read of people saying that only the rich are able to afford the best legal representation but Mr. Mays, in my mind, has proven that a fallacy.
I could have paid more for much larger law firms but none of them that were available in my area even came close the reputation that Mr. Mays has now the experience he has demonstrated.

I started out with several false allegations including two felonies and several other misdemeanors. I had a very kind lawyer starting but soon realized that being kind was not going to cut it. Not only that but I could never reach her and felt as though my case was being left on the desk.
