Before I hired Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, I interviewed five of the top Employment law firms in San Diego. Haeggquist & Eck was the firm that spent the most time with me before I hire them. They wanted to make sure they responded to all my questions and I understood the process that awaited me ahead. I am so grateful they represented me. They were always very promptly at communicating any case updates and they always got back to me right away whenever I had questions. I have no family in the United States and I felt very lonely at the beginning of my legal process, however, Haeggquist & Eck truly made me feel like I had somebody knowledgeable, caring and with a lot of experience on my side. One of the law firm's partners came to my house to get to know me better and to assure me that I really matter to them. Beware! They ruined my life - I was their client - the turned on me and filed lawsuit and put liens and levied my bank accounts. It was never their intention to uphold fiduciary duty to me. I realized this too late. Very harmful.

I was dealing with a case that I was getting overwhelmed and stressed from constantly going back and forth in court. My mom found Madison Law, Laura Hassan on a flyer at a church she attends. She saw good reviews of this law firm and a plus to us was that she speaks Spanish! When I walked into their office the receptionist was kind and helpful. When I met Laura Hassan she heard my story and noted down all the information. She was very honest and confident. At first, her colleague took the case but towards the end of the case Laura took over and was able to help me and end the case. Not only did she see what was in the best interest but she went above and beyond. She made me feel safe and stress free. I wish I would've met her before when I had this case in 2013. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a family attorney.

Capstone was about the only law firm willing to deal with Seterus Mortgage, a subsidiary of IBM, that violated debt collection practices allowed in California. I could not be happier that Seterus ended up paying out a lot of Californians and spending a lot of money on defense and plaintiff costs but wish the checks had been more to everyone. California law protected Seterus from a larger payment with a ceiling on the awarded damages. Seterus looks like it will continue to have more problems with other suits against their inept billing practices that generated phone calls to Californians at crazy hours, including after payments had been made and the account was current. Capstone represented many of us against Seterus as they were not willing to settle until Capstone Law convinced the courts and Seterus that they had violated civil law after the suit was prematurely dismissed in San Diego, leading the case to California appeals and Supreme courts before Seterus was willing to agree to settle.

Finding Joni was a God send! Literally!! I heard her commercial on the radio and wrote her phone number down. A year later, when I decided I needed a lawyer, I couldn’t find her number so I prayed about it. The next day I got in my car driving home from work and her commercial came on the radio! I pulled over in my car and immediately called her and was able to speak with her. I made my appointment and met this wonderful, intelligent, compassionate woman who understood what I was going through, and what I needed to do. Joni not only helped me through the most desperate time in my life, but also became my friend. She was always there for me answering any of my questions, sometimes in the wee hours of the morning. I would describe Joni as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. She looks so sweet but she is fierce and gets the job done!! Even though I have communication issues, Ty has accommodated me and most importantly had a good attitude. I was hit by an SUV while walking in 2021. Mr Raven told me he could get me over $100,000. Without going to court he knew I didn’t want to go to court He said he could negotiate with insurance companies so that I wouldn’t have to pay them any money. It wasn’t until mid 2024, that Ted fully explained-that insurance companies can demand money back when you use your insurance when you’ve had an accident.And I started getting bills from my insurance co in 2022. I even had to pay interest! I had to send him my information more than once as his Assistant misplaced the documents that I originally sent. And he dropped the ball. There were some follow-up visits that were necessary for me to have explaining how the damage to one leg impacted my ability to walk and resulted in me, needing to have surgery on the other leg, and also exacerbated the original leg injured by being hit by the SUV. He’s very unorganized and when he and if your cases isn’t worth a lot of money, he’ll stop communicating with you wound up with $16,000. He wound up with $22. He charges 45% and we had talked about him not taking 45% given the errors that he made, but he still charged me 45%, because he said he had to file the case in court, but we never went to court. He only agreed to reduce it to just 40% if I didn’t post my negative review. So beware, there may be lots of positive reviews but I guarantee you he negotiated to avoid the negative ones. I would just stay away. He's not organized And he’s not honest.

Raven Law is an amazing law firm. As a small business, Ted Raven delivers an absolutely amazing personal touch. Ted would always return my calls and explain things to me thoroughly and clearly to the point that I was never left with any questions. Even though I had medical insurance through Kaiser and Medi-Cal, they were both asking for large sums of money from my settlement that Ted was able to negotiate and bring down significantly, to the point that I was able to get a larger settlement for myself. I would absolutely recommend Raven law to anybody who is looking for an injury lawyer. It was so nice actually talking to an attorney and not just people relaying messages for an attorney. I hope I'm never in a position where I have to have an injury lawyer again... But if I do... Ted will be my first phone call. Consulting Ethan Tidwell was an absolute godsend during my complex divorce case that involved the nightmare complexities of custody issues, finances, and an abusive/vindictive ex-spouse who falsely spread accusations about me during the divorce in an attempt to secure sole custody and leave the state with my children. And prevent my children from having a relationship with their father. Whenever Ethan was available for consultation, he was consistent in providing extremely valuable, honest, and reliable information. I was impressed in how I could ask Ethan any question and he always had an answer right away backed by extensive knowledge, objective facts, and a strong understanding of the inner workings of family court. He is also able to remember facts well and can regurgitate granular details from our conversations of months prior. This gave me confidence in speaking to him about my case. His guidance helped me in not only the legal aspects of my case but also in maintaining a positive bearing during what was one of the most emotionally-difficult periods of my life. Ethan has a good grasp of knowing what is important and what isn't, which often provided relief for me on many occasions when I was overstressed out about something. Trash, lack of follow through with what’s suppose to get done, lack of communication as well. The attorney Steve he will go months with out updating you on the status of your case. When the claims adjuster sends your checks late this attorney does not go to bat for you it’s a wait and see if the check comes although it’s already late. I highly don’t recommend this attorney.After reading other reviews and only assuming the ethnicity of the reviewers ,my unprofessional uncaring lack of diligence of Steve has to be because I’m black if your black stay away!!

Wade Law Group’s handling of my business partnership dispute was a disaster from start to finish. I sought their help when I was being pushed out and needed to recover my equity. Despite providing all the necessary documentation upfront, including the operating agreement and financial statements, their incompetence quickly became apparent.
For seven weeks, my attorney at Wade Law Group engaged in fruitless exchanges, sending threatening letters based on California law and drafting a lawsuit complaint. Only after all this time did I discover that my attorney hadn’t even read the operating agreement—a crucial document in any partnership dispute. This neglect led us to almost violate the agreement by bypassing mandatory mediation and filing the lawsuit in the wrong state. Predictably, my former business partner exploited these errors, leaving me with a much weakened case and a significant financial loss.
After incurring over five figures in legal fees, I made the decision to terminate our relationship. I requested a meeting to discuss the situation, but my attorney not only ignored my request but also responded rudely when I followed up. Eventually, the firm’s owner reached out and offered a partial refund for drafting the complaint in the wrong state. However, the amount he offered was far less than what I had actually been billed, forcing me to go line by line through the invoices and finding the correct amount was five times higher than what he claimed.
I then posted a review of my experience on Yelp, and the owner reached out and offered me a full refund of over $8K in exchange for removing the review and signing a contract agreeing not to post additional reviews about my experience with the firm. When I pointed out that this felt unethical and possibly illegal and proposed that I edit the review to give credit for the refund, he withdrew the offer, falsely claiming that I had rejected it.
