Daniel made a sad and unfortunate experience of divorce the best that it could be by carefully explaining the process, being patient, paying attention to detail and most of all by actually caring. He made it feel like he was helping family rather than just a transaction. He was honest when he needed to be and showed empathy when it was needed and for that I’m grateful for. Mr. Sykes helped my fiance and I divert a custody train wreck. My fiance's antagonistic ex-wife had denied visitation, disappeared with their daughters, re-arranged the cars on her driveway when she left to force him to park on a dangerous street, and demanded he call the cops (in spite of a pandemic). My fiance went months without seeing his daughters during their divorce, and she has attempted to deny visitation in years past, but we've always been able to get a civil standby to convince her otherwise... but not this time.
We were preparing to file a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus and Emergency Motion for Return of Child[ren], which would have opened a very contentious and expensive can of worms, when Mr. Sykes gave us very specific and strategic advice to put the lid back on an explosive situation.
Long story short... hell froze over, and she apologized. She also offered to make up the time. We hope this is the last time we'll need Mr. Sykes legal guidance for custody matters, but if we do, we know it will be money well spent (or saved! Depending on how you look at it). :)

Mr. Peters was a intricate part in me forming my LLC with the state for my veteran owned and operated company. Being so close to the deadline as most of us get, he immediately went into action on getting everything done. State county City IRS and Duns & Bradstreet filings . The comfortability you get with him is extremely refreshing he makes you feel as though your speaking with a longtime friend.( not just another client or number) There was no aspect of the process left out. I don't have enough positive words in my vocabulary to describe Mr Peters. Lawyers are not this honest anymore. His level of professionalism anything I have ever seen.
Talk about patience and he is more than an example. It takes me a very long time to make decisions and Mr Peters was very patient with me.
Mr Peters is the only lawyer that I've seen so honest that he tells you the things you don't need his services for in an effort to reduce your cost.
Overall Mr Peters is a great human and that makes him such an excellent lawyer. The world would be a better place if only 10% of all lawyers were as honest as Mr Peters.
Hope I will never have to hire you again given the circumstances that caused me to hire you but if the need arise you are the only lawyer I would want to handle my employment case.

Honestly, the firm acted Immediately. For starters I called Attorney Yalda as I was leaving my original court date and she was eager to hear and represent my case. Attorney Yalda accepted what I could pay and set a timely pay plan. From the looks of my situation all odds were against me yet Attoney Yalda assured me she was confident in moving forward with whatever I wanted. I met with Yalda because I needed help with a custody case. I had become frustrated with other lawyers I consulted with, most of them barely gave me the time of day. Yalda spent over an hour with me on a free consultation and me feel as my case was all that mattered to her. As an attorney, she was sharp in court and was always prepared for whatever the my ex's attorney would argue. Yalda was also great at keeping me informed on the case. This was the second time I had been to trial for custody. Both times were stressful, but Yalda made this time much less stressful by being available to answer my questions, and talk to me about my concerns. I strongly recommend her.

I was recently referred to Rudy by another Houston lawyer to represent me in a will contest case because of his expertise in probate. I found him to be very professional, knowledgable and thorough. My wife and I hired Amy to update our will, and create a small trust for our children. She was very thorough in her questioning during the process, and helped us identify some concerns that we need to address through the will. She was very helpful, and willing to work with us to develop the documents including the will and trust, and we were able to complete all of the work on budget.
I also asked Amy to review an overly complex employee stock ownership agreement from my employer. She was extremely thorough, and in fact identified a key factor in this agreement that impacted my will. I could tell she worked very hard on this, and was very complete in her summary report.

We last did our wills 20 years ago, so thought that now might be a good time to review everything again. We originally worked with Mary Galligan, but this time we were fortunate to work with her equally excellent son, Michael. It was a pleasant and highly productive meeting in which our Wills were completely updated. The experience was so nice that we went out for a nice lunch to celebrate our ultimate demise. That sounds strange, but it felt really good to have our power of attorney, medical POA and Wills professionally done so we don't have to worry about those end of life decisions. We've been through a few attorneys that have done little to nothing except cash our checks. David Doehring and his firm have accomplished more in the past 5 months than the others did in 5 years. If you have need for a probate attorney, give David a chance. He was upfront about a plan of action in our situation and so far has executed it to a T. Robert Jewett is a FANTASTIC estate and probate attorney.
I first met him in 2016 when there was an issue with a will being probated within my family. He drove to our home, sat there and spoke with my family in regards to the issue and gave us the advice free of charge. One of the biggest mistakes we made was not to go with him at that time.
Cut to May 2019 and I contacted him asking about a will being written. Not only did he have it completely done within the day, but he was also ready to file it then and there. Unfortunately, the person passed before it could be signed, but, again, I contacted him to probate this persons' existing will. From start to finish he completely probated it in less than 3 months all for a single flat fee. I was amazed especially seeing several peoples I know to take anywhere from 6 months to a year and a half.
Robert is the man to see if you need anything done!

I am a contractor for medical testing. A company I worked for owed me for testing I had done over a period of several months - but refused to pay. I tried over and over to work it out with them but they still refused. Finally I told them I would have to take legal action, to which they replied fine, we'll see you in court. Their attorney sent me several legal documents including a demand for the small claims court judge to drop the case. I didn't know what to do. I was afraid I would lose several months of my income. A friend of mine referred me to Byron Barclay.
Mr. Barclay was a great relief. He took the stress of dealing with the lawsuit and their intimidation away from me. We moved the case out of small claims into the big arena, and I was no longer on the defensive. Mr. Barlcay continued to press them for information and to justify their refusal to pay, all the while keeping me apprised of the situation and asking how I would like to continue. In the end, the company settled the case out of court and I was able to recover my lost wages in full. For me, the stress relief and knowing I was able to recover the much need pay has been a great blessing. I would recommend Byron Barclay to anyone in need

Mr. Barclay represented me in a suit I brought against a service provider who deceived me and mistreated me. The suit was complicated because the "injury" spanned a fifteen year time horizon. Robert Burford is amazing! I had a business issue and my lawyer from most respected law firms in Houston was handling it. This dragged for months and months: tons of aggravation, even sleepless nights, and over $100K in legal bills. A friend recommended to contact Mr. Burford. First he requested to send him all paperwork. After a week, Robert met with me and my partner on the morning before Christmas. His whole office was empty. He asked us what we wanted as the result of his involvement. He found our claim to be very reasonable.
