My husband and I hired David to draft our estate plan soon after we moved to Washington in the spring of 2020. He answered all of our questions, responded to all emails promptly the entire process was quite easy. This happened during Covid shut down and he made arrangements for us to sign our documents from our car so that it was safe.
His rates are very reasonable, he charges by the hour rather than a flat fee. That was nice because our case was pretty straight forward and simple, I suspect a flat fee would not have worked out in our favor. Its fair to both the client and the attorney when it's billed by the hour.
About a year and half after we drafted our estate plan we decided to make a change to our will. David was super prompt in handling that change for us. We did this right before the holidays and I expected it would be drawn out process. Instead he got it turned around in a couple of days. It was great.

Beware. I should have walked out when their dog came running at me and kept barking. It was a sign. But I stayed only to suffer the rude, unprofessional, and accusatory lawyer that now owns the practice. Don't expect anyone to call or email you back as they don't. Do expect to pay for services never fully rendered. I hired another lawyer that got the job done - to the letter of the law - and without being falsely accused of wanting to "break the law." Wow. She thinks I was hostile, and yet she never met me or spoke with me. On the other hand, I did meet her dog and care less about what her dog thinks of me. It's a DOG silly.

She is very confident about what she does.She is very knowledgeable, Experienced, Organized, Straight forward, Caring and Good Hearted Person. She was my lawyer to evict a nasty chineese Guy. She didn't leave me alone when I was in the middle of an ocean. Far and away THE WORST attorney in Bellingham. Not only was she rude and indignant, she could care less about you and your case. She’s only interested in money. And worse, here is an example of her extreme unprofessionalism: I followed each and every step she gave me for a Reply Declaration and even turned it in to her days before she asked for it back (in order for her to go over it and submit it to the courts for filing on my behalf) she not only did not file it, I had to learn about her NOT filing it by happenstance, and then when I confronted her about it asking why she didn’t file it and especially why she didn’t tell me that she didn’t file she claimed that she did it for “legal reasons.” That’s all she would tell me. DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY. You will regret it.

I contacted Zuanich Law about 22 months ago to get my gun rights back. We covered all the pertinent information they needed to start the case. I paid the retainer and left them to do what they needed to do without my interruptions. After several months I hadn’t heard anything, I was worried so I contacted them to see what the progress was. They filed a motion in my county, it was review and denied as there was a law change prior to their filing. Brian Zuanich talked to me in depth about refiling in Pierce County as that is where my initial felony was signed. Again I left them alone to file the motions and hoping this would happen. Again several months later, I was thinking this was a lost cause then I received an email from their office telling me that the Courts signed the motion to restore the right to own and possess a firearm in Washington State. Yeah!! I was really surprised and happy. It took longer than I thought it would but they stayed the course. There were other options I could have taken if this motion was denied as well but Brian Zuanich knew what he needed to do and how to move forward. That’s the important thing with you hire an attorney, make sure they know the system for the type of law you need to have help with. Yes, I am very satisfied with their office and will recommend them everytime!

Legalities between states and documents from one state to another are not always equal. For myself, and most others I'd wager, these are complicated matters and were something that I personally wasn't too knowledgeable of.
The Zuanich law team, however, clearly laid out what options I could take and, after choosing what to do, along the way ensured to keep me informed and give me a clear understanding of what needed to be done, as well as what parts I could do to make things smoother in the process. Their know-how in what needed to be done got the matter resolved. I would recommend their services to anyone attempting to restore their civil / firearm rights in Washington or Oregon.

I had a poor experience with this attorney, Luce, who 'barks louder than he can deliver". He has a very confident personality, which I preferred. Unfortunately he cannot deliver on his promises. His assistant MeLanie is not professional at all. She likes to 'raise her voice and comment in areas she knows nothing about'. I think she needs to be be careful as she is a poor reflection on this business.

Emily was just the greatest. I didn't have my kids and I felt like my whole life was over. Emily took the time to sit down and just guide me through everything. We've been through so much together, I had to do treatment and had a few issues, but she stood up for me in court and was a real fighter. Even when all the prosecutors and social workers were all against me, and said there's no hope you just got to give it up, Emily was in my corner! She is so awesome! She helped me understand what I needed to do, and I made it through. My kids are with me, I have a new place now, and they are in school and doing good. I am so happy I listened to Emily and got through the whole thing. I really coulln't have done it without her.

I will never forget the day I was appointed Emily Nelson as my new attorney in my cps case... The joy of getting a new lawyer, after having 2 previous outright lazy/non caring court appointed lawyers, I really thought that it couldn't get any worse... Well I was yet to get the biggest shock of my entire life.. To make a very long story short, I'll start by saying that from the very first meeting with Emily, she was already ready to be done with my case, it was always some really weird conversation with her about how I should do one thing this way then literally the next week her saying "ok nevermind let's go about it this way" and as soon as I would start doing something she had recommended, bam "now let's do it the original way" I mean this kept up the entire 6 plus months I had her for my attorney.. Though there is soo much more this woman has wrongfully done to me, as well consequently to my family, I'll finish by saying that the most disturbing of it all was when my termination trial was fastly approaching, she told me over and over that I did not need to appear for the trial if that was the choice I'd like to make as we'd been discussing the idea of me not attending as my in-laws and a lot of their friends would be there to take the stand against me, and since the judge allowed them to attend because of open court policy, I would have to be in their presence, so with already having anxiety issues, that was not an option I could bear, so Emily told me not to worry about going, that she'd have everything covered without me having to attend.. Well the trial came and went and to this day (months later) I have never heard again from Emily, no phone call, no email, nothing in the mail, and in fact never again heard from my social worker in my case, or my children's ad litem, just didn't hear from absolutely no one, nothing from the court's either. The only way I and the father to my children found out we lost custody of our children was through the grapevine to at which time I heard that at the day of the termination trial Emily had stood in front of the judge and said "I have nothing to address to the court as my client (me) has fired her" I just about lost it hearing this betrayal (I of course never fired her) from the one person that told me she would take of my case as straightforward and as passionately as she has all her client's before me (I guess I should of known better); My case was, as Emily also stated, a shut and close case, all about a messy house that got out of hand due to recovering from my 4th c-section with bleeding complications months after... Please I beg of anyone considering Emily Nelson as their next lawyer, just don't risk it, there are plenty of other lawyers out there that most likely don't carry that kind of deviant behavior... I'm just writing this review in hopes to prevent someone else from going through the heartache such as I have. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and sorry for it being so long.

We are contemplating a move back to Washington state where we lived for many years. Without proper estate planning we would potentially be subject to the Washington estate tax. n our initial contacts with the firm, we clearly identified that we were residents in another state. We were instructed to provide our detailed financial picture as well as our current estate planning documents which we provided promptly and told that our information would be forwarded to the attorneys for evaluation. The following is the email response.
“Thank you for filling out and returning your Questionnaire.
I will forward your information to our attorneys for review. Once they have completed their review, I will be back in touch with you regarding a quote for services and the next steps for scheduling.”
Well over a month went by with no word back from STIB. I finally contacted them by email requesting a status update. Within minutes, I received the following reply.
“Thank you very much for contacting our firm. Unfortunately, we are not able to take on your case. Our firm does not advise out-of-state residents on tax issues. Our focus is estate planning and long term care planning.”
The STIB website clearly tax issues as part of estate planning. I also found no restrictions on attorneys in Washington state providing consultation to out-of-state residents considering residency in Washington.
Needless to say, I was astounded by what I consider to extremely poor communication and timely follow-up. If it is indeed not their policy to advise out-of-state residents on tax issues, I would have expected to have been informed of that policy up front thus saving us the time of compiling and sending detailed and confidential financial and estate planning information. In my opinion, this represents incompetent and totally unprofessional behavior.

It’s quite possible that if you know what to ask or what’s happening that they will be great for you, but for me I ended up with a $120 invoice for two emails I didn’t understand what to do with, going to look for someone else to help us setup out family will.

I should have easily won my petition to modify support for my kids but I don't think Marie took it seriously. I came with good reason to modify and the judge decided in my deadbeat exes favor in my opinion with minimal change to the support order, support for my kids extra costs and a decision to make him pay for their college and activites. Would not use again.

To share my experience working with Attorney David Rose. While initially I had high hopes for his representation, several issues arose that significantly impacted my case and my trust in his abilities. I Hired Mr. Rose for a collection of judgement from a previous divorce handled by his office. Throughout the course of my case, there were instances where communication was lacking. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times to get a response. This lack of responsiveness made it challenging to stay informed about the status of my case and caused a great deal of frustration. David Rose failed to meet critical deadlines, which had serious consequences for my case. Important responses were not filed on time, and his failure to provide timely responses led to unnecessary delays. These delays not only extended the duration of my case but additional hearings and "preparation" charged also added to my legal expenses. His approach appeared to lack strategic planning and coherence, leading to a waste of both time and money. Overall, my experience with David Rose was disappointing and frustrating. I would advise others to consider this when selecting representation. I terminated our agreement to hire another attorney to finish my case and requested a refund of my funds from the trust and although he never filed a motion and never appeared to a hearing or made any movement on my case he claims he used all of my trust and actually billed me for additional money. David rose and his office sent letter communications to an address I did not provide to them and had no resided at for 4 years. I never received any written communication because from him because of this.

When I initially called for an appointment, I paid $90 for our initial case review. (That's the only appointment we had) they gave my daughter some paperwork, told her to fill it out and return it after she received her 1st paycheck ( she hadn't even started her job yet) then they would start building her case. I gave them a $3800 retainer. My daughter didn't fill out or return the paperwork. Two days later, she called them and said she was going back to florida because her daughter has T1D and was having medical issues. She wouldn't be filing her divorce here. They said no problem. They would give our money back. 3 weeks later, after I went down there 3 times and called twice about getting my money back they refunded
me $2980.So this initial appointment cost me $90+ $820. The first time I went down there (5 days after my daughter told them she wouldn't be needing their services), David Rose told me he was refunding my $3800. I went down there today. No-one was there, the door was open, there were files and laptops open on the table, which makes me wonder how secure they're operation is. Now, if I were to got my $820 back, I'd consider updating my review. Again, it took 3 WEEKS to get my money back. This has caused much anxiety and frustration.

I like to file a complaint. While speaking with a receptionist. She claimed you'd only been Open for 15 mins at 8:55pm then told me I can't speak to people like that and she hung up the phone. I'm trying to convey my problems and concerns and only get brushed off and told I'll get a call back.
I got a call back and saying I'll like to file a complaint and was told I'm not going to get into this again and was hung up on once again.
I was not using foul language and I was trying to be respectful. my worries are being passed over and my request are not being respected prior to the first hearing with Brittany.

Tristan came across very sympathetic and caring during our first meeting when I was deciding to hire her or not. After that it all went down hill. During my legal separation she made many careless mistakes filling out paperwork and when mistakes were pointed out she was rude and short tempered. At one point she even sent me word documents and told me that I should make the corrections myself. She charged for time that she used to make corrections and withdrew as my representative before the final paperwork was even delivered to me. I had to hire another attorney to complete the work. I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere for representation.
