Shelley took over my contested/high-conflict divorce after a few months by recommendation. She listened to my concerns, pulled together the evidence I provided, tackled the unfortunate problems associated wtih a high-conflict divorce head-on, and strategically pulled me through the entire process. She was prompt, well organized and showed up to win whenever she set foot in the courtroom. At one point during the process I had the opportunity of what she had done in her past life and if/why she enjoys being an attorney. Mr. Lowell was hired to defend my husband. To be fair, it was a serious offense that required an attorney that would be willing to go that extra mile to aggressively defend the charges. That is where Mr. Lowell just falls into the average ranking of attorneys. He was very nice, considerate and flexible with making payments for his fees but, he just wasn't willing to get in there and fight for a better outcome. Maybe I've watched too many television shows but I was hoping to see an attorney who didn't bow down to the local legal system and who would actually fight for a fair sentence. I didn't see that with Mr Lowell. He's very nice, reasonable with his fees, has the knowledge you like to have for your legal defense....just doesn't have the backbone you want to see looking out for you if you are in a serious situation.

Was involved in a not at fault car accident and asked a buddy at work if he knew of a good attorney. He said his friends dad is an attorney and also a military member which after finding out he was a fellow marine I was actually excited to meet him. Meet him and he said he wouldn’t normally take the case but since I am a marine as well he felt honored to represent me. The one thing I asked him before agreeing to let him take the case was to keep me in the loop and update me via text, email or phone call at least biweekly. He also said it was a slam dunk case that wouldn’t take more than a few months to close. That never happened. Not one time in 10 months did he contact me without me contacting him first. He let my credit get ruined by not notifying the hospital of ongoing litigation and said he would not represent me in court to get the person that intentionally hit me charged with the crimes he committed. He talked a big game when taking the case but didn’t follow through with anything he promised. Looking at his website it looks to me like he only wants to represent criminals and not people that are innocent that actually need his help. Have tried contacting him several times in the last 2 months with no response. Also requested a letter that states he is no longer representing me so I can find other representation but no response to that as well. Thanks for nothing Phillip.

Don't waste your time! She will over charge and not tell you wants going on through out any court process. If you have any questions don't plan on getting them answered, if she does it will be weeks before you hear anything and half the time it was from her assistant. You will just have to hope and pray she is doing her job right because she wont discuss anything with you.

Now that my divorce and custody hearing are over I am changing my review for this worthless Lawyer.
About one month before it was time to go to court after dragging out for almost a year he bailed out on me because I sent him too many emails. I would not have had to send 985 emails had he answered even 20 of those. Fortunately, my ex-husband and I settled without him and I am sure that I got more than I would have. Had he stayed with me. Do not be fooled by the fact that he is a member of a Christian lawyers society, because he does not function as a Christian. Basically all of the emails that he answered for the most part were ones where I offered to send more money and that is what he is all about . The final month of my case which was the most important I was instructed by him to no longer send him emails but to filter them through his assistant Brandy. I sent her five emails within 20 days and got no reply from her either. Then I got a message from him, saying that he was withdrawing from my case. I paid him over $6000 for nothing. Always beware of a lawyer who bites his fingernails to the quick and bounces his leg up and down repeatedly. He had the audacity to say that I had mental problems and I believe the two set above things prove that he also has mental problems , just beware. I paid him for subpoenas that were never done and for many other things that were never accomplished. He says he is overworked, but I say he is lazy and money hungry.

I called and a lady answered the phone. Did not identify herself. I was looking specifically for a female attorney to replace my current male attorney. I stated that I was looking to speak to Mrs. Isaak in consideration of retaining her services. However, I was told that she was not taking on new clients. The lady on the phone then asked what county I was in and I told her Houston County, Alabama. She told me that it would be the Enterprise office and that Mrs. Isaak doesn't work out of that office anyway. She then said that they had two other attorneys I could call and gave me the names of a Mr. Woodburn and Mr. Dockens. When I elected to pass, but thanked her anyway, she decided that hanging up on me was the best route to go. Incredibly unimpressive and incredibly unprofessional. If this is any indication of how they represent, I would run away from this firm!

I was charged with a felony I didn’t commit and if I lost a trial I was facing life in prison. I have a severe mental illness. I was rude, disrespectful and fired Mr. McGhee. Mr Ghee said he would withdraw from my case if that was my wish. Mr. McGhee understood my illness and kindly asked me to come to court because he had a plea agreement for a class C misdemeanor with no jail time or active probation. Thank you and I hope you except my apologies. At no time did Mr. McGhee or his staff say anything negative. This law firm is very polite. Just because you don’t see your attorney or talk to them on a regular basis doesn’t mean your attorney is not working. Thank you again! I would highly recommend Mr. McGhee to friends, family and would hire him if I was ever charged with a crime. Great Attorney! Thank you. I have a great life with a wife and kids.

The Law Center for Civil and Criminal Justice is the "BEST" Law Center in the City of Bessemer and of course, this includes all surrounding cities in Birmingham as well. In my experience with Attorney Yusof Olufemi who obviously does quite a bit of studying and has proven to my Family his Education in the Law field is far "Greater" than one can imagine. Nevertheless, we've never experienced disappointment in his representation. Back in 2018, we filed a lawsuit against a Construction Company, and out of respect, the name will remain anonymous. Of course, Attorney Olufemi represented our Family extremely well.
The case ended up going to trial in 2022 because the Contractor "DID NOT" feel as though he wronged our Family. He felt as though he "DID NOT" owe anything, so of course, Attorney Olufemi stood the test of time.
The trial lasted one week, and his representation was beyond "AWESOME". We trusted him through the entire process and needless to say he's one that you can trust. There isn't a dollar amount that could even equal the amount of hours and of course service he has rendered.
In my opinion, he's the Best of the Best. This was my first time going to trial and he for sure asked both the Plaintiff and Defendant questions I would have never thought to ask. Going forward we would always recommend this Law Center anytime you're needing Legal Representation, and you'll get the privilege to hear Attorney Olufemi say his most famous quote "WE MUST WORK" His words speak volumes and I wouldn't recommend any other Law Center.

Would not recommend Jacqueline Tomlinson to represent anything. She was assigned to my case as a GAL to represent my two young children and be a neutral party. Which she wasn't. Only would meet with the mother and refused to meet with me. She likes to throw false allegations
while in court, with absolutely no proof. Just to try and make a good father look bad. She never wanted kids to speak their voice in court and once allowed she acts like she never heard what they said before. Lies!! I have never seen such unprofessional representation in my life. Stay far away from her and please don't let her represent your kids!

There's a lot more I could say about Attorney Oraif, but there's not enough room here. She is my SHERO! She took my divorce case at the last minute and finished it. The first set of lawyers failed me, and I lost faith in the justice system. Attorney Oraif came highly recommended, and she worked with me, opposing counsel, the judge, and the mediator, and although the outcome is "bittersweet," I am very pleased. I hired Doug to handle my divorce. I was always able to reach Doug as he provided me with his cell phone number. It was very comforting to know that he was always personally available. Most importantly, we went to trial and the outcome could not have been better. I was able to retain all of my retirement assets and not pay alimony. If you want an attorney that you work with from start to finish and is available then Doug is the person.

I tired Doug Roy to represent me in my contested divorce. I made it very clear to him that my number one goal was to get custody of my children because I had serious safety concerns if my wife got custody. I told Mr Roy several facts that supported my opinion. At the beginning he led me to believe that he was fighting hard for me by telling me he had filed a subpoena for important records that would prove that my wife should not get custody. Months later there was a temporary custody hearing because my wife's attorney had asked for temp custody. Mr Roy did not prepare me for the hearing, at the hearing he did not have the records and did not offer any important evidence that supported my need for custody. I lost the temporary custody hearing. Mr Roy then suddenly withdrew from my case , right after I made a payment and left me without a lawyer right before the next important hearing. I found out later that Mr Roy mishandled my case in several ways. He did not do what was necessary to get any important records. It appears that no subpoenas were even served by him while he was on my case. He never got the records but misled me into thinking he did. Mr Roy did not file a notice of appearance or an answer in my case until my wife's lawyer filed for default judgment. He only filed for temporary custody after my wife's lawyer asked for custody. Even though I I asked him about what he needed to respond to my wife's discovery requests, and I attempted to provide information. Mr Roy failed to file important discovery responses in my case . by law this type of discovery required by the judge to treat all my wife's discovery allegations as being true if I did not answer. Mr Roy failed to give me important documents that were filed in my case or explain them to me. Basically Mr Roy took my money and did nothing that actually helped my case. He was all smoke and mirrors. He took advantage of my lack of knowledge of the legal system. He did not care about my family at all.... ( by the way my current lawyer worked very hard for me and now I have custody of my children. )

After meeting with this person who said he would represent my incarcerated boyfriend at the time of need for 800.00 I humbly went home and sold our car for this amount. After this was sold i took the money to DANNY MITCHELL. I did not go to Court because of work. The afternoon of the Court Date i got the call that DANNY MITCHELL didnt show up. Not only this but he didnt file Notice of Representation for monies rendered.
WOW! Now The Bar Association will get my claim of neglegants . And Im seeking damages. Danny Mitchell? Why did you take money from us and not even file representation or be in Court ? I inow you remember this.
