Lauren and her team did an excellent job on my divorce and custody battle. They were caring, kind and compassionate, and answered any questions I had without hesitation. They kept me informed of my account balance and gave me a written statement of where all expenses were spent on my case. Lauren used her team wisely by having the paralegal's handle the less important issues on the case that way you were not billed an attorney rate for faxing a paper or sending an email. I was happy with my results and would recommend Attorney Duffer to anyone who needs a family lawyer.

I'd like to share my story for those people out there in that difficult place of needing an attorney. First and foremost, I definitely recommend Lauren's law firm for any & all needs of family law. This is my story of why my wife & I feel this way & want to get the word out to folks that have that unsure/hard decision of hiring an attorney in front of them. Hopefully this can help someone from having to throw a dart at a list of attorney names or get one recommended to you from friends & family that for whatever reason forget the bad stuff & never admit they got rolled by "their" attorney as if the attorney is "theirs".
My wife & I just finished our adoption of our grandson. Yes, everything from starting with sole managing conservators, termination of parental rights, home study, etc etc etc. We unfortunately started this process with a different attorney. Constant struggle with straight and/or timely answers. Couldn't keep the original situation or progress story straight, it was like having to recap from the start every time & you bet she had the billing clock going even due to her sloppiness. Problem we were faced with is once you get the ball rolling with one attorney, original petition filed, it's a pain & costly pain to change representation, because like in my case first attorney was a flake and redo's had to happen. Now the positive part of our story. By shear luck I called Lauren's office & made appointment. Go in for consultation & WOW what a breath of fresh air. Genuine attention to me, professional, approachable, and easy on the eyes "just a bonus". I was very impressed with their attention to detail, explanation of the law, communication of multiple strategies to achieve desired result with outlined plan, then final recap to in sure claraity. Talk about smooth operation & put a confidence in you knowing they've been there, done that. At the same time their awareness stays high without getting complacent. Their billing is fair, invoicing clear with every billable action segregated with description & cost association. Absolutely no guess work on clients part. Along the complete process they were good stewards of our money, while at the same time we were never in the dark as to where we stood & what is next.
So there is our story, hate to say this is not the first time I've needed a family attorney, sure wish I had them as my team previous times. You won't regret hiring Lauren & her team.

I cant recommend her enough. She is the 6th laywer I have used and she was so much better than the others. My case had stalled for 14 months. She came in and got things moving in a week and I won custody of my daughter in 8 months out of court. She is extremely sharp was on top of all the details. This woman is vile and disgusting. She failed to listen to any of my children’s concerns when she was an amicus. My ex was in jail for assault, abused my children, had a DUI and she recommended that i have supervised visitation. I had no more money to fight my husband and my kids who only want to be with me are going to be forever messed up emotionally. I’m sure this woman is not a mother - and hope to God she never is. IMO she was definitely getting something on the side from my rich ex who I have recorded messages that “money is no object” to go against me. So so sad

I hired Desaray Muma as my attorney for a child custody case. Desaray has made this process a little easier for me because dealing with a child custody is very hard and stressful and she has guided me through everything and still is, she answers any questions or concerns I may have very quickly. Most lawyers will take all your money and not even care about your case. Desaray is not like that, she always keeps me updated with everything and continues to work hard. I recommend her.

There is no one else I’d go to other than Warren and his team to help us with our trademarks and essentially any other legal matter. Approximately in August of 2017 I was referred by an attorney in the area to contact Brandy Austin to litigate a matter regarding clearing a title for my father. The attorney said that he did not litigate, but Brandy Austin did and I took his advice and advised my father to hire Brandy Austin because I have Power of Attorney for him and he depends on me to manage his assets.
However we never spoke to an attorney, not even for the consultation. At the time of the consultation a paralegal gave us legal advise and said that it would require a 3500.00 dollar retainer and that we would have a hearing date by December 2017. Also, that there would be the one hearing date necessary to get letters of testamentary . We paid the retainer and waited until December came around and that is when the paralegal communicated that the date would be pushed back to Jan.2018. January 2018 no hearing date was scheduled. I became concerned at this point because the projected date that I was told did not get realized. I did monitor the Tarrant County Public records search from that point on. The paralegal at that point explained that the Judge in the court we were was retiring and caused a back up on cases. In February we paid an additional 2000.00 dollars and we told we were in the mercy of the courts for the hearing. In Feb. I also noticed an amendment to the petition. By April i notice that the staff attorney for the court sent a notice to the firm that there was needed corrections. At that point I called the courts myself and talked to the clerk and they informed me that the petitions were not being filled out properly and needed corrections and the delay and nothing to do with politics or retirements. I was really surprised and confronted the paralegal again because even after I sent an email to the owner and called the office to speak to our attorney I was continually directed to the paralegal. Eventually I complained that I was not happy with the results and the paralegal responded that they wanted to no longer represent my father because the relationship had become constrained. The feeling was mutual but walked away with a bitter taste in my mouth on how the business is conducted. From our perspective the firm gave us dates that they could not guarantee and had inconsistent statements that conflicted with the public record. When confronted they acted if we were bad clients for questioning them.

Kevin was referred to me though a friend of my daughter. Since Kevin is Dallas-based and I reside in Ohio, communication was 100% long-distance (phone/e-mail). The issue centered on my contention that I had a legal right to inherit royalties from a couple of oil wells in OK which were left to other family members by my father's second wife following her death. My two daughters were among the seven named inheritors and, because of the very restrictive language in her will, it was important that whatever action Kevin took on my behalf did not jeopardize my daughters' share of their entitlement. Kevin fully understood the issue and the fact that I did not wish to pursue the matter through the courts. With my concerns and interests in mind, Kevin did an excellent job of representing me in subsequent written communications with both the Executor's attorney and with the OK oil well company attorney. Though I have not met him in person, it was apparent from our communications that he listens well and is very bright and astute. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking legal counsel.

Hired this Attorney for criminal defense case. Worst mistake i could have made. A public defender could have done a better job. Because of Runge’s care less attitude i was supposed to get time served on a case and edged up go to TDCJ for several months. When someone contacted him to tell him to do something he did nothing. I wasted $30k in legal fees that public defender could have done much better job.

John Runge was by far the best attorney I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his clients and his work shows it. He will listen and address any and all questions without sugar coating it. I went to Mr. Sollows for help Within a couple of hrs he got back to me with all the information that he needed to help me after a child custody battle, that was literally closed and signed off 5-17-22. We had a hearing to modify Parent-child Relationship Order, from the opposing side. That I did not agree with, my attorney with Jim Ross did nothing to defend my case nor put effort towards what I was asking for throughout my whole case, 2 years! Mr. Sollows gave me the closure I didn't get from my attorney, if my case was ever to re-open, without hesitation i would hire him.

Aaron is a very down to earth attorney. When i took my case to him, he was straight up with me and did not try to bullshit me. He was honest with me every step of the way and kept me informed of what was happening with my case.

I can not say enough good things about Eric Labovitz and his team. I was getting a divorce, i was seeking spousal support, and i did not know where to start or what to expect. Patino was so completely out-matched by my ex's attorney. She was unprepared and did not do anything to defend me from ridiculous accusations. She caused my children to be removed from me for 6 months now and I am the ONLY biological parent. I have not done ANYTHING wrong and there are absolutely NO GROUNDS for my children being taken against my will. They were given to my ex, a non-relative of the children, after the ex filed a protective order against me and abducted my children from my home. All based on lies! The ONLY explanation for this from patino was "she filed first, she has upper hand." She quit 3 times because I questioned her. It's sad, the irreparable damage that has been done to my children.

I cannot explain the miracles Erika worked for me! She was thrown into a contested custody battle with only the notice I had when I was served. Before I even met face to face with her to hire her she had pages of research done on my case. She didn't even know if she would be my attorney and she devoted her time to me. She provided information to me not knowing she would be defending my daughters and me.
She not only had the contested custody to battle, she had out of state orders to transfer, 2 different counties to work through here in TX, back child support and an affidavit to contest.
She was very detailed in what she was going to need from me and made sure to study and document everything I provided her. She answered my questions day and night, in the middle of heated contention between my ex and me, even when she was with her family. She always followed up the very next morning. She was thrown more curveballs than anyone could have expected before, during and after both of our hearings.
She went out of her way to find me doctors, documents and anything else I needed before, during and after everything. No matter how hard my ex tried to break her/us, she didn't budge.
She made sure I came out victorious with added benefits in the end. She actually chased my ex and his "new family" out of Texas! She will fight until the end and keep fighting thereafter!
She put her heart into what I felt was an end to all means. She "adopted" us and genuinely cared about us... Still does.
If you need the best of the best, someone who genuinely cares and will work with you and for you, you need not look any further. Erika Patino is the answer.
She's so incredible I have added her to my Christmas list and that's a hard list to make!

Mark Cochran was a god send in a seriously nasty divorce. First when my children were 4&5 and again when they were teenagers. They are now 26 and 28 and one is a Physician Assistant and the other is in her 3rd year of medical school. This would not have happened without his support during the hard times. He managed my case SO well! Even though at one time he actually told me that if it continued he would have to shut his practice down just to take care of me! Cochran has the toolset of a good lawyer; that’s why I hired him. Where the great guy mentioned in the other reviews was, though, I never found out. I’m certainly no saint, but Cochran’s eagerness to win by money whipping my legal adversary was profoundly troubling. I was above board in my business dealings and wanted to proceed accordingly. Win fair and square. He didn’t seem to get it though, so I’ve moved on. If that’s the kind of representation you’re looking for then all I can say is how disappointed I am - in both of you.

Mark Cochran was about the 6th lawyer to work for me in what was an extremely ugly divorce knock down drag out. So comparing Mark to the other attorneys that worked on my case, Mark was the only one who I felt really went to bat for me. And his office did not nickel and dime me for every breath that they took and paper clip that they used. Also, Mark does only family law, so I didn't feel like I was at the wally world of lawyer chaos as with some other lawyers who claim about 6 areas of expertise...when really all they are is spread out thin and not an expert in any one area. I highly recommend Mark.

Karen helped my sisters case and protected her kids from an abusive father. Our case was complex and lasted for several years (pandemic didn't help). She's an honest women who truly cares to help.
