I engaged Robin Beattie to represent me when my ex-husband filed a motion to terminate the maintenance he had agreed to during our divorce proceedings. My attorney had since retired, and I reached out to Robin for representation. She gave me realistic expectations when we first met...what this would cost if it indeed when to court, why considering a settlement had merit, what my chances of prevailing were, and what to expect on this journey. Everything she told me in that initial discussion turned out to be spot-on. During this emotionally-charged and challenging journey, Robin was a voice of professionalism, expertise, compassion and wisdom. She made thoughtful decisions around how/where to spend my money to provide the best outcomes, always knew the details of what was occurring in the lead-up to court, kept opposing council accountable for what they were to be doing, and built a legal case with great merit.

Robin Beattie...best Lawyer for family law. I never had to retain her. I "consulted" with her about 4-5 times over a couple years on how to proceed with my ex. She didn't want me to waste my funds because she knew I was a single parent only receiving $150/month child support. She didn't just teach me the law and help me represent myself to the courts, she taught me how to speak and present myself in a way the courts will listen. She helped me to stand strong and keep fighting for my girls. Which I did. In the end I had a Decision Maker dismissed, a Child Investigation Report thrown out that stated they should live with their Dad and, the best part, standing up to a narcissistic and abusive person defeated him and he signed over full custody with the snap of my fingers. I'm a shark because of her. I not only won against the ex and the courts, I carried all of the skills I learned from her into my business and day to day life. I might not be a lawyer, but I sure do know the law better than I did. The most important lesson I learned through my time with Robin was that the courts do not care about how you feel. Not at all. They care about the law so you have to speak to them like you're a law book.

When one goes through a divorce, it's easy to let one's emotions drive the train. Robin managed to be completely empathetic to my feelings while still keeping things in perspective as to what ultimately mattered. I think a lot of attorneys stay detached so they can stay professional, or they get too emotionally involved in their clients situation. I'll scenarios are completely understandable in my opinion , but Robin does neither. She's warm yet professional. I can't recommend her highly enough

Lee Strickler represented me in a nasty divorce with factors including high income, business ownership, multiple properties, and false accusations. She stood by me for the entire nine year maintenance agreement where I needed her assistance from time to time. With all the cases she has, she never forgot mine. At the end of the maintence agreement my ex tried to modify, and as always, Lee was on it, strong, on point, knew Colorado law and applicable case law, and we had a favorable outcome, meaning it's over!
I highly recommend her and if I had to do it again I would not consider any lawyer but Lee.

A friend referred me to Dominic J. I had spent several months contacting about 42 divorce lawyers in the Colorado Springs area, but I finally decided to go with Marrison Family Law because of my friend’s recommendation.

Matt Walker represented me for 3 misdemeanor DV charges in Jefferson County. He heard my case and told me not to take the plea deal. With his help my case was Dismissed before trial.
Matt was there to walk me through every step. If I needed him he was always just a text away and would call as soon as he was available.
He suggested to meet as the trial got closer, not to go over anything but to calm my nerves as this was my first time in any sort of trouble.
He never made me feel rushed and listened to all concerns. He is also a huge LGBTQ advocate which for my case was essential.
I can’t recommend Matt enough and will forever be thankful for him and know if I ever needed counsel again he’s there.

I called Matt about a dispute with my neighbor who had mailed me a letter threatening legl action. Matt met me for coffee the same day I called him. When we met, he reviewed my letter and other documentation. Then he actually called the neighbor on my behalf, while I sat there, and worked everything out. It was amazing. When I offered to pay Matt for his time--he pointed out that he had only spent about thirty minutes to resolve my issue--so no charge. Matt is real and Matt is awesome.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the team of people over at Kalamaya Goscha, especially the services of Ms. Georgina Melbye. Since the very beginning of my DUI case, she was there making sure that I felt comfortable and in the know with everything going on. Being that it was my very first court case ever, the whole process felt pretty scary and overwhelming. Having Georgina there made everything clearer, less confusing, and and overall just took a lot of anxiety off my plate. When it came to the sentencing of my case, instead of simply settling on the normal sentence the judge would typically address in this scenario, Georgina spent months and months fighting to get me a better plea deal from the DA. In the end, she did exactly that, and I am so grateful. She is professional, she works hard for her clients, and most importantly she is just really good people. Easy to communicate with, straightforward, nonjudgemental and compassionate. I have been nothing but pleased with Joe and his entire staff. My first call into this office, Joe took my call directly and I could immediatly tell he was an attorney sincerely vested in his clients and thier cases. He has a level of humanity and integrity that is frankly hard to find in the field. He agreed to take on, what I was repeatedly told by nearly everyone, was an "unwinnable" case agianst The Department of Human Sevices over a TRAILS finding.
Joe and his staff were so incredibly responsive, efficient and thorough in their assistance and handling of my case. Having them on my side to handle all the legalize, I knew that I was in the best of legal hands possible in a part of the law way over most people's heads. For the first time in years, I could focus just on LIVING.
Our TRAILS appeal, that won an Administrative Law Judges ruling in our favor back in 2018, was overturned CDHS themeslves (because they can do that!) and went all the way to th Colorado Court of Appeals where it was unaimously reversed again by all three judges, back to the ALJ initial decision. Recommended by a colleague who had previously worked with him on other cases, Mr. Podboy would deliver beyond our expectations as a family. I could not have asked for better legal representation, at such a desperate hour. First impression at our first meeting would suck my family members & I in, leaving us to confidently conclude, Mr. Podboy had been God sent, an answered prayer. He was highly educated, professional, empathetic, attentive, intelligent, eloquent, knowledgeable, and just a natural at what he did. His analytical mind would right away lead him to conclude and believe that I had been wrongfully accused. He was angry, determined and unrestrained in vigorously coming to my defense and proving my innocence. It was a homicide case and he went to work immediately, with a passion that would leave no stone unturned in the discovery process of the case. It wasn’t just a job for him, he went above and beyond and did his work with so much integrity, that his fellow attorneys held him in high esteem too. Jason was able to get my DUI case looked at as a first offense and not a second offense that the court had put forth. With that he was also able to get the other charges dropped and was able to get me my property back. Short of a full dismissal of the charges Jason accomplished the best case scenario for me.

After doing an initial consultation with Lyndsay in regards to a child support dispute, I felt very confident that Lyndsay was the right attorney for the job. The family court system is very subjective and tough to navigate. Lyndsay handled my case like the expert in the field that she is.

I have been working with Travis for 8 years, and he has been an incredible lawyer, advisor, leader and (unknowingly) therapist! I have been holding out and saving my review for Travis and his team for when my ex wife stops taking me to court! Unfortunately, that has not been the case! What I do find to be reassuring is that I know Travis always has my back and is always fighting for what is in my son's best interest, my best interest, our best interest. Travis always listens and ensures he understands what it is I am feeling and needing before developing a plan.
