Regan Donnenfield was a light of hope to my family at a time when my options appeared limited. The likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed high on impossible. She was able to change the custody of my children, lower alimony, change out of state visitation and electronic communication. She also represented me in court several times and I did not have to travel every time. She provided me with documentation for future reference and forms that I would need to be able to travel outside of the country with my children. I had called the office of Attorney Dan Coffey and I was in a really bad time crunch. I needed to get a continue for a FINAL COURT hearing he took the the time to review my case advised me of what I needed to do. I felt like I had FINALLY talked to someone that wasn't going to just take my money and not be able to do anything. He was SO honest and didn't take my case because of the such short time frame he had and did not want to risk not being able to get exactly what I wanted. His assistant Stephanie is just as AMAZING as he is. Not only that I called a few other attorney in the area and I asked about Mr.Coffey and all these OTHER attorneys said nothing but good things about this guy. I would definitely recommended anybody that needs assistance with Family Law he is the guy you would want to go to.

With the sudden passing of my daughter Keisha, I needed legal assistance in becoming guardian to her 3 years old daughter, Khamryn. A close friend of the family referred me to Ms. Jennifer. This was in December 2021. Nothing could have prepared me for the 3-year journey I was about to embark upon. Ms. Jennifer and the office staff were always very kind, empathetic to my situation and also available to answer any questions I may have had whether in personal, phone or email. Whenever we had to go to court, Ms. Jennifer would explain thoroughly what was to be asked so I would know what to expect. And that goes for any paperwork that I received or needed to sign. That journey finally came to an end in Dec. 2024. It is now 2025 and my husband and I enlisted her assistance with preparing our wills. I feel that I could call upon her and/are staff if ever needed again. Most "legal" people that I've run into seem cold, distant and talk over your head. That was not the case with Ms. Jennifer and the ladies that worked in the office. I will truly miss them.

Absolutely Horrible. Lies... They tell you what you want to hear to reel you in, then when it's time to do it, they backtrack. Liars. They charge and nickel and dime everything. No strategy for nothing. They are a disaster to work with so find someone else. No communication, they treat your account like an open check book, and they are super unresponsive to emails. I didn't even sign my final order because I had disagreements on it and emailed them stating this. Received no response once again. They sent it to me and the day after I received it, judge signed even though I said I didn't agree. Their language in the Final orders and lack of appropriately listing items agreed on in court, screwed me out of those things because of their lack of attention to detail. Crooks. But do what you want. Your throwing your money away.

Can't tell you how Erick is for an Attorney, but it's NOT worth the money to use him for a Mediator, I know he is supposed to be neutral, I felt it was round and and round a definitely not worth the charge, looking back I was overly stressed about time and money paying him and made decisions I should have never agreed on, but I will say, they love lunch time, people like me in a crazy situation, already being taken advantage of by a spouse don't always have a stomach for lunch when time is ticking.

As soon as Andrew walked into the meeting, I had a bad feeling about him. He does not seem to like women. He continually interrupted me and made assumptions about me. He was rude and did not actually LISTEN to anything I was saying. I told him several times, "You don't know me." as he was assuming I was wanting to take my wealthy husband to the cleaners and I did not. I do not recommend him to anyone, especially women. If you are a male, it might be different. I did not feel like I could trust Andrew Passons at all. My husband's lawyer talked my husband into getting a protective order against me, which was completely fabricated and dropped before the court date even happened. I'm not sure if this was the reason for his poor attitude or if this is just the way he is. There are plenty of other lawyers in Denton.

I've known Jim Horton for many years and have utilized him several times, as have many of my friends & colleagues. This last time, they were beyond impressive and words can't express how grateful I am for both Jim and his paralegal Brenda.. I was caught in a bureaucratic nightmare between a misfiled court order and the attorney general office working off of an incorrect order......but because someone else didn't file the write document, I was having to deal with the nightmare... Jim Horton and Brenda not only went above and beyond to get it fixed, they stayed on top of it for over a year until they made sure the court and the OAG office got everything corrected. Besides the fact that they got the job done - the most important part is THEY CARED!!
