I live in Atlanta, having lived in Fort Myers, Fla previously. I Had legal loose ends that I had to tie. I needed a professional family law attorney that would not drag my case out. Jorge Santana! Where do I even start? Jorge is unlike any lawyer I’ve ever seen. When he first took my case it was in shambles, completely mismanaged, poorly delt with and I was well on my way to losing my children to a women that was bent on destroying my life. Before Jorge my ex had hired a Guardian et Latium that turned out to be friends with her lawyer, I had a lawyer that didn’t seem to care, and her lawyer was filing one false motion after another to damage my name. After a failed mediation I went out looking for another lawyer and found the best lawyer I could find and after they looked at my case the new lawyer told me “I’ve never seen a case so mis-managed in my life, I can’t get you out of this mess but I know who can…. Jorge Santana!”
My case should have been easy, mother kidnaps her children and runs to another state while the dedicated father was home taking care of them. Easy right? No… Sadly my past lawyer failed to file paperwork when it should have been filed, didn’t respond to the false allegations, agreed to things that were not in my or my children’s best interest, and failed to direct me on how to handle things; not to mention the abundance of poor advice that at times had me wondering who she worked for.
I remember the first day that I met with Jorge, he didn’t sugar coat things and I remember him telling me “If I had this case from the start, you’d already have custody but now we are trying to make a chicken salad out of chicken …..” But we sat for hours talking about a plan and I walked out of there knowing exactly what to do. Days before trial we received the Guardian’s extremely late, extremely biased, and extremely false report highlighting comments made that were never made by people she never interviewed. Jorge and I must have spent a week straight, 14-hour days pouring over the details, gathering evidence and the day of court he hammered the guardian, pointing out every flaw, every false statement and even brought in all the witnesses that were mentioned in the report. It was a beautiful site to see Jorge in action and it was equally relieving to know that all the false statements were being disputed right before my eyes in a fashion you couldn’t disprove because Jorge did his homework. You see, by the time Jorge started my trial he already knew more about my case than I did, and it was obvious to me that he wasn’t in it for the money, nor the fame but as he stated, “I hate bullies and you're getting bullied”. I stated at the start that Jorge is unlike any other lawyer because he dedicated his life to my case, he studied the details, he got to know me as a person so much so that when something that didn’t sound right came up, he already knew it was false. He was always just a call away and more importantly than anything else, he knew what needed to be done and how to do it. His staff is top-notch, never missing a beat and …. I’ll let you in on a secret here. After working with him for the past year you wouldn’t believe how many lawyers send him their “troubled” cases because they know … Jorge gets things done!!
Jorge will ALWAYS get my recommendation and I’m happy to say, the kids and I are happily living here in Florida

Used him twice... both times he talked me Into the same plea deal the public defender got me. So I guess I spent over $5,000 on 2 separate cases to get the same result a $50 public defender would have gotten me..... edit based on his response. I never went to jail for any crime he represented me for. I had a violation probation out of Broward county which my attorney in Broward got me released while fighting the misdemeanor charge here in lee county, which you represented me for. You got me 9 months probation which is the same offer the PD gave me during my first appearance. Sorry this is just the truth others may have different experiences but it was a waste of money for me.

Make sure your uncontested status will not change. Mine did and Mr. Grossman just sent me a list of other attorneys to contact. My $2000 retainer was forfeited as per his CONTRACT is NONREFUNDABLE!! I messaged him about a possible partial refund or credit towards his mediation services and he never even responded to me. Lesson learned, read the contract and DONT TRUST ANYONE to be upstanding. He received $2000 for doing ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!

Recently hired Janese for a super simple motion to file (a motion I could have easily filed myself but figured coming from a lawyer, the judge might pay more attention to it). At first, working with Janese was great. She offered a discount to us and I was so grateful. But I have not been happy with her work. She filed a motion and purposely wrote it very vague and stated to me that she "didn't put a lot of details in the motion because I find that the judge doesn't read much and he likes hearing it in court". Well after nearly 2 weeks since the motion was filed, we still didn't have a hearing scheduled. Janese informed me that the judge wouldn't allow his assistant to schedule the hearing until he read the motion. Days later he denied the motion and we never got to present our case in a hearing! Dumbfounded when I found this out on my own by looking up public info on the court website, I emailed Janese asking for any information as to why we wouldn't get a hearing. I've emailed multiple times and text her... no response. She got her money to spend 5 minutes typing up a motion and that was the end of it. Its been going on 6 days since the motion was denied and I haven't heard a word from her. Waste of our money... even without a law degree I could have done what she did.
