as a single mother raising 4 children it took a long time to save the money to afford a lawyer.....I ended up with less insurance coverage for my children and all in all left after the court date with less than I'd been given in the divorce for my children. His conduct was poor and his attitude was like I just owed him my money for showing up....and doing nothing to help me. Id waited seven years to take a dead beat dad back to court and this lawyer was the worst person I could have picked for the job.

He hasn't did nothing to help me, as a matter of fact I asked him to remove hisself off of my case, cause mark Worthley is a liar and untrustworthy,,, this man picked up my case, told me he was waiting on my last attorney( MarkChaugalaf ) to send over the rest of my case file so he could read my whole case,,, but you mark Worthley the same day started negotiating a plea deal with the prosecutor!!!!!!! Without ever seeking my whole case,, how are you already trying to negotiate a plea deal???? And still to this day he hasn't told me weather he received the rest of my case from ( MarkChaugalaf ) now you tell me ,do that sounds trustworthy.... yes mark Worthley is professional liar

I’ve been fighting the case for seven years. I am very innocent. There is no proof and the so-called alleged victims have not ever showed up or want anything to do with it and my codefendant. Also let it be clear and loud to my attorney and his attorney that I have nothing to do with that situation and they’re still trying to lock me up And I am so innocent and My Public Defender Nicholas Barnes is allowing it to happen. I have a court date October 10, 2024 if I don’t get locked up then I guess he did his job if I do get locked up I suggest a whole bunch of bad reviews. I’m not disrespecting or trying to disrespect anybody. I’m just a very honest person. And this was with all due respect.

Please look elsewhere unless you are desperate. We attempted to use Cordell Funk as our adoption attorney, and it was a terrible experience. Weeks between returned calls, needed to amend the document at least 6 times due to errors, and the secretary is incompetent (doesn't return calls, doesn't share information with attorney). Did I mention he didn't show up the day of our adoption? It wasn't in his calendar. We ended up spending more to go elsewhere. Save your money, time and sanity.

Wasn't able to explain my reason for needing a lawyer. While I was attempting to explain what was going on in my case, he looked it up on mycase,interrupted what I was attempting to explain I couldn't get 2 words out without him interrupting me. I don't think I was able to get 2 full sentences out before I just got up and walked out! Very disappointed! I've heard great things about him as a litigator. Maybe it was that him and I didn't mix. I wouldn't personally recommend him, however I know people that swear by him.

Tandra is by far the best lawyer involving family matters in the city of Fort Wayne Indiana. I would first like to state that I never leave Google reviews for anybody. I went out of my way to leave this one because she is just that good and she deserves it. She hasn’t even gotten halfway through my case but having a lot of experience with custody lawyers I can already tell you she is the best by far! She goes above and beyond just being a good lawyer! She truly is just a good person to have in your life. She personally answers every call herself I have ever made to her! Which is unheard of for a lawyer to do. She gives advice even when she is not getting paid and it’s always good advice. She responds to text and emails almost immediately. She truly cares for her clients and you can tell she just loves the work that she does. It was such a let down today. The Judge, Carrie Stiller, allowed her motherly emotions to control her judgement. She just decided/ordered a father to pay for college to a daughter that will have nothing to do with him.
We had evidence of reputation that had a time span of over 10 years to current The judge said if anything that happened when she was younger than 18 couldn't be heard.... that she would only accept evidence from the age of 18 on....but then turned around and used an old text from the same time frame of 16 as the bases for her decision. Then had the audacity to scold him as a father over the 1 text. Not even acknowledging all the mounds of evidence. It makes me feel she didn't even research the previous hearings. I'm not speaking on her overall performance throughout being in her position. I'm solely speaking on her judgement with this case. Very disappointed. Justice was not served.

Mr Smith is a friendly man that will take the time to sit and chat with you. However, his staff is rude, cold, unreliable and will straight up lie to you. Mr Smith was never prepared for our meetings when all he had to do was take a few minutes to check his notes. Nice man but his staff is a joke and I would not recommend Mr Smith.

Please do not ever use him. I was recommended for him from an Advocate agency. I had never used a male attorney before so I was iffy. When we first talked he was cussing, rude and just sounded unprofessionally. I called the advocate company asked if there was a woman on who could possibly take my case. At the time I didn’t even mention how rude Mr. Gaunt was to me. The next time. I tried to called Mr. Gaunt. I explained my case more. He said Miss who do you think I am like do you think I’m stupid. I know what I’m doing. Cause he was going to ask for a continuance. I explained that the judge stated on my case. No more continuances. He got so rude, vulgar. Who do you think I am. You think I’m stupid. I know what I’m doing are you the attorney or me. Hey I was explaining my case to you. He even cussed at me. I was shocked. The worst experience ever and also so unprofessionally. I believe the other reviews on here showing a negative light. And he’s through an Advocate legal agency. Please do not ever hire this man. Believe his reviews please cause he’s exactly what they say. Thank you!
Oh yes the clerks office and other attorneys said the judge wouldn’t have gave me a continuance. I have had 2 already. So they wouldn’t have gave me anymore beyond those two.

I was very unsure how mediation would go based off all of the reviews I read on here but my attorney recommended her so we went with her. To say my case was difficult would be an understatement. My ex and I could not agree on anything and I thought for sure this would be a waste of time and money. Marge had a way based of all of her personal and professional experiences to settle this and honestly I am still in shock. She was very clear and constantly reminded us that this was about the best interest of our child and not our feeling towards each other. I would highly recommend her if you need mediation.

I hired Kelli Young because I was trying to protect my child from his abusive father. If you are having to hire a lawyer to begin with, then it's probably a terrible time in your life. It was like pulling teeth to get her to communicate with me, and when she did she was sending documents that I had to constantly correct her - like NAMES and dates of birth or inconsistent details. She is one of the most incompetent lawyers I have ever had the misfortune to work with. All she cared about was payment, and even though we paid our bills on time, she decided in the midst of our case that she didn't want to work on it any longer. DO NOT HIRE!!!!

I hired April Edwards to represent me in a couple different cases in Vandenberg and warrick county. The retainer agreement that I signed stated that she would resolve both cases and get me a conditional driver's license. I caught a new charge in the middle of the case of which she told me she wanted an additional $500. I had no problem with that however needed a little time to come up with it being that my wife is unemployed and we are a one income family. She then asked if I would sign a bond released agreement which I would not do to the fact that it was not my money which I later talked to my mother whose money it was who gave me the okay to tell them they could have the money which I did. Then I was charged with a felony charge in Vanderburgh county stemming from an alleged incident from over a year ago. When I talk to her office they told me that they would not represent me in that case. I then started calling other attorneys. The next time I spoke to Miss April Edwards office they asked me again for the $150 filing fee for my conditional license and I told them that since they were not going to take the case in Vanderburgh county that I hired someone else to take that case and would just have them file for the license. It wasn't even 8 hours later I received an email stating that she wanted to withdraw from my case. I then requested a partial refund to which I got no response for days. After repeated efforts she finally responded with a refusal saying that she more than earned her money which I totally disagree with because the agreement clearly stated that she would resolve my cases which she did not. She partially completed my case therefore I feel I should only have to partially pay her.

April is a great lawyer. She took the time to really get to know our family and the situation we faced. She has a very pleasant demeanor and is very easy to work with before and during court. She is fiercely competitive and fights aggressively for her clients. She smiled a lot during our pre-trial conferences with the opposing party but once we got in the courtroom, she was all business. The other party never knew what hit them. She grabbed the initiative right from the start and never let go. If I need to go back to court on custody or child support issues, you can bet I'll retain her again.

I first met April when she came to my rescue while I was being taken to the cleaners by another lawyer. While talking to a friend, I had voiced my disgust about the crooked parties that I was suing & the fact that my current lawyer had been siphoning money from me for years without any results! My friend suggested that I contact April. I called April & after explaining my situation to her, she was willing to take a look at the case for me. Shortly afterwards, she indeed, did become my new attorney. With April at the helm, my case suddenly started to see action, a lot of action. My case had already dragged on for over 5 years, but April immediately started making things happen. All of a sudden, I had lawyers from the other side wanting to set-up mediation meetings, depositions were being taken, witnesses were being brought in for questioning, I was receiving numerous calls & things were finally starting to come together. It was if the other side suddenly realized “Holy Crap he’s got a real lawyer”.
Almost at the same instance that this suit was being settled, two more problems came about for me. This time it was with an employer & a hospital. April took immediate action again & we got these matters settled & closed very quickly.
April has proven herself to be both a life saver & a new friend in many ways. She pulled me up out of what I initially thought was a totally hopeless situation. She showed me that these things could all be handled efficiently & without totally devastating my finances. All I needed was for the right person to care. April proved that she was this person in more ways than one. She knew from reviewing my case that I was in a desperate situation, both emotionally & financially. She & her staff, worked with me in the most professional & friendly manner. April & her staff proved themselves to be some of the most friendly, considerate & knowledgeable people I have ever met. I will without hesitation, recommend her to all friends & family.

However, if you are thinking of hiring her, please know beforehand that it is pertinent to listen to and follow whatever advice she gives you. Don’t be like me, save yourself time and money by listening to her from the moment you hire her. She knows what she is doing. Her and Traci are the best! She can come off as stern but it is for your own good and what is best for your case.
She has continued to answer any questions that I have had after the agreement was filed and the divorce was finalized. I honestly don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t hired her, but I can assure you it wouldn’t be any place good. As a DV survivor, I want you to know, she will advocate for you. She will defend you. Told my husband that his court was at 2pm today but was at 9:30am for custody of his children (which is very important!) so he missed it. Also told my husband that he would do his full case for a totally of $1,200 and we agreed. He represented him the first time and then wanted another $400 to represent him for his next court date (which wasn’t the deal but we paid him anyway) when he shows up to the next court date he sat us down and asked “so what are we doing today?” Like he didn’t know ?!?! After that, he called and wanted ANOTHER $1,200 !! He didn’t represent my husband but for MAYBE an hour and a half total and didn’t do a good job at it at all ! And he doesn’t communicate at all about your case unless you’re about to go into the court room or unless he calls wanting more money. No way would I ever recommend this lawyer.

I was overwhelmed and confused by the whole process and he explained everything clearly so that I understood all possible outcomes and challenges to my divorce case. I hired Stephen Drendall for a Child Custody and Child Support Case. He talked a good game in the beginning but as time went on he became less responsive and did not file paperwork in a timely fashion as asked. Weeks would go by with no updates. He would send out correspondence concerning my case and did not copy me or update me on the case so I had no idea what was going on. I attempted more than once to try and clarify things and to get him to work my case in a competent manner. After doing so he just became less responsive and more careless. Please do your research before hiring this Attorney.

Sara is the WORST!!! She doesn’t respond to emails or returns phone calls which is how we must communicate since I live out of state. After sending SEVERAL emails, calling and leaving SEVERAL messages she hasn’t return any of them! So I called to speak to an office manager or whoever was in charge but of course I had to leave yet another message only to have NO ONE call me back!!! It a shame that we have to pay these attorneys all this money by the hour and they don’t even have to decency to return a phone or take 5 mins to respond to an email!

I am a poor starving artist who really messed up to the point where I needed a lawyer to get me out of deep trouble a few years back. I mean it wasn't like criminal bad stuff. It was just me being drunk and outta control and doing some really stupid stuff and I got caught! But like no one would take my case and they was all too expensive anyways. Then I found Kevin and he took my case right away. And he was so much cheaper then the other guys too. In conclusion if you think you don't have money for a lawyer then think again and call Kevin Willis. Oh, he did not get me off the hook but he tried lots of crazy ways to do it and the judge did not throw the book at me either. So if you don't have much money and you messed up, and no lawyer wants to take your case, I am telling you that Kevin is your guy.

I hired Kevin to help represent me and my partner in two separate but related issues. Altogether we were doing business with him for a little over a year. I spoke to and had consultations with several other lawyers before choosing Kevin.
In the one case, he helped drastically mitigate damages we knew we were facing in a small claims suit filed against us. We were never going to win but the costs were made manageable. In the separate case, we ended up settling for an amount in our favor that made this whole nightmare of a situation a win for all of us overall.
He was professional and courteous, even when faced with a bullish and condescending opposing counsel.
At all points in the case, Kevin helped clarify the language and ensured I knew what was happening before it happened. He had opportunities to enrich himself further, but instead took the honorable and integrous path to his own detriment. He cared that the result was good for his client and not just himself.
It's too easy to criticize someone, anonymously, over the internet, especially from a position where you may not understand or even be aware of applicable law. Any potential client should sit down with multiple lawyers and see how they communicate with you. Make sure that you choose the right personality to represent your position. If you don't know how to communicate effectively with your lawyer about what your hopes/expectations are at each stage, then you're bound to be disappointed, regardless of outcome.
You will be happy with your choice in Kevin, as long as you understand that when it comes to litigation, no party gets exactly the outcome they want.

This office was recommended by a local bank for a small legal matter. .... I could not believe how rude he was. !!!!! He was harsh and abrupt !!!!!!! He just assumed I guess that I was trying to tell him the law. ..... I was not and IF he would have taken a moment to hear what I was trying to say HE would have realized that myself and my siblings had not only lost our last surviving parent but that we had also been put through the ringer. !!!! So thank you kind Sir for your inability to listen and also for your rudeness of hanging up unjustly on me !!!!!! That's Hoosier hospitality at its worst not to mention extremely disrespectful !
