This guy is why attorneys get a bad name !!!!! His staff will tell you one thing, then it never happens or it is a lie just to pacify you .I was told pay half now and the other half when the job was completed, but they have never completed the work yet and next month will be a year !!!!! I was told it would take 2 to 4 months. TOTAL SCAM !!!!!!
They won’t call you back either !!!!!!

I was lied to constantly. I never once was able to speak with Mr. Lewis. I paid half which I was told I needed to paid in October 25, 2023 and the other half was to be paid when the expungement was completed. I made several calls to Mr.Lewis office always speaking to a Mark?? I was lied to constantly. First lie was the prosecutor was being replaced in Hamilton County so that was causing a hold up. I waited another month I called and lied to saying that my paperwork had been lost in the process. End of April I requested copies of court documents sent on my behalf. I received the PDF. Forms of documents to both counties I needed expungement from. Neither had been submitted to the court. And not signed by David Lewis. I have times and dates of every call and the PDF forms sent to me on May 1st. Never once during this time was I asked for balance to complete process. Not until July when I called Mark out as being a liar and this he admitted to everything. I asked for a refund he said it would be a couple days for the check to process. I called back to see if he could just refund my boyfriend’s CC. That’s when Mark informed me that he couldn’t give a refund I would have to pay the balance to get Mr. Lewis to move forward with this process. Of course I have been dealing with this for almost a year now. When I was first told it would take 3-4 months to complete. I didn’t want to give more money considering how much I had been lied to and never once had a chance to speak with Mr. Lewis. No matter how many times I ask. The office completely stopped answering my phone calls. Until one day Julie Brown answered I explained my dilemma. She is another attorney in this office. She said she would take notes and leave on Mr. Lewis desk but she doubts if I will get a return call. Mind you my cases were both minor both misdemeanors. I should have never been put through this stress. I would never have a kind word to say about what I was put through and never about Mr Lewis. He is a fraud to me.

The moment i walked into Bryan Ciyou’s office, I was greeted by Bre’s professionalism. She never left Bryan’s side, they worked as a team and very well together. I could tell they hold themselves to a much higher standard. Watching Bryan and Bre handle my messy case, Im confident to say I trust them in knowing the legal system and the ins and outs of family law. My review is for Dawn Marie White. Is there a zero stars option? You should hire her if you like to be misunderstood, talked down to, and ignored, all while paying her handsomely. Dawn Marie is not competent for the position she is in. She is currently a court appointed parenting coordinator, to help with making timely decisions about parenting that would otherwise go to court. My ex and I pay her the price of a normal lawyer so that we don't clog up the court over something the judge sees as frivolous (A FATHER'S PARENTING TIME IS NOT FRIVOLOUS). That would also take forever and then there'd be no decision due to it being a moot point, water under the bridge. So far I've paid Dawn Marie White $5000 and literally all she's done is tell me what she's not going to do. My $5000 retainer is gone and there are zero court orders or official decisions that came of it. Now she wants me to pay her more and she's ignoring me until I do, I assume.
When we first met, she wanted to meet via video call and then she made us turn our camera on but she left hers off. I should have known she'd be horrible from the first meeting. Since then I've just asked for equity in parenting time for things like dividing school holidays evenly. Currently, we go by the IPTG which does not divide the non-school days fairly between the two parents in my school district. There are administrative leave days and snow make up days that serve as holidays to the children, but those all go to the mother because the IPTG doesn't mention those days. When I asked Dawn Marie to do something about it and give me half the days that the children are out of school, she said she'd make decisions on a case by case basis (code for "I'm piecemealing your billable time so I can charge you more and deplete your retainer faster"). Then when I asked her at the time when the children were going to be out, she said it was too late and that I should have asked earlier. So yeah...buyer beware.

I truly appreciate the work that Carman did for me. I was skeptical at first because of some off putting reviews but I’m glad I followed my heart.
Carman is VERY responsive, professional, respectful and does a thorough job explaining the law.
Yes, her personality is direct and she isn’t “warm and fuzzy” and that is ok, it’s who she is. I believe her no-nonsense approach is what makes her amazing at her craft. Previous attorneys that I hired could never answer my questions and seemed to become intimidated by my ex (who naturally has a very strong, authoritative and sometimes aggressive presence), one even told me she didn’t want to call him any more. There was never a doubt in my mind that Carman could match whatever energy he gave her. She listened to me, advised, executed and got the job done.
I would hire her over and over if I needed to while resting assured business would be handled. That’s all that matters.

My case was out of Hamilton County and anyone that knows anything about that county knows its very hard to win a case in that district. Carman took her time and studied my case and studied the case laws and did absolutely whatever was necessary to get the results we wanted and needed. My case took over 2 years but we won and all charges were dropped. You can't rush perfection and Carman took her time to make sure the ball was in our court in every aspect of my case. She will always be my number 1 recommendation if you have any type of legal issue or custodial issue. Thanks again Carman and God Bless!!!

I ended up with him, on a whim of a recommendation from a different attorney after I'd been passed down to some new Atty that just wanted to get it settled,done and over, wanting me to settle for $11k total with him getting 40% of that & so on! Mike took me on,took his time to do it right 👍🏻 & I will tell you this much,the case ended up settling for a ton MORE! I can't disclose that, but he's well worth it 🤩

I was screwed over by Amber Boyd law and I was protecting black people from systemic rascism that by her screwing over my case and abandoning me, but keeping my $5,000 says enough. I can not stand when black people do not stand up for black people. That is sad. She was the worst attorney I hired throughout the process. In my opinion she joined the harassment, discrimination and retaliation by her actions and her lawfirm. Also refused a refund. I was offered $100k then hired her offered $5k and her assistant was promoted away after altering inaccurate dates on my claims and refusing to confront police retaliation related to January 6th 2021 mini insurrection throughout 5 Indiana locations. All and all I would say run!!! Far away!!! Hire a different lawyer, especially for discrimination cases.

I paid half which I was told I needed to paid in October 25, 2023 and the other half was to be paid when the expungement was completed. I made several calls to Mr.Lewis office always speaking to a Mark?? I was lied to constantly. First lie was the prosecutor was being replaced in Hamilton County so that was causing a hold up. I waited another month I called and lied to saying that my paperwork had been lost in the process. End of April I requested copies of court documents sent on my behalf. I received the PDF. Forms of documents to both counties I needed expungement from. Neither had been submitted to the court. And not signed by David Lewis. I have times and dates of every call and the PDF forms sent to me on May 1st. Never once during this time was I asked for balance to complete process. Not until July when I called Mark out as being a liar and this he admitted to everything. I asked for a refund he said it would be a couple days for the check to process. I called back to see if he could just refund my boyfriend’s CC. That’s when Mark informed me that he couldn’t give a refund I would have to pay the balance to get Mr. Lewis to move forward with this process. Of course I have been dealing with this for almost a year now. When I was first told it would take 3-4 months to complete. I didn’t want to give more money considering how much I had been lied to and never once had a chance to speak with Mr. Lewis. No matter how many times I ask. The office completely stopped answering my phone calls. Until one day Julie Brown answered I explained my dilemma. She is another attorney in this office. She said she would take notes and leave on Mr. Lewis desk but she doubts if I will get a return call. Mind you my cases were both minor both misdemeanors. I should have never been put through this stress. I would never have a kind word to say about what I was put through and never about Mr Lewis. He is a fraud to me.
