the front office lady I spoke to was WONDERFUL and helped me so much.
BUT Jennifer was awful. I waited 2 hours 3 different times to speak with her and she never called. She finally did call and the 30 minute phone call was only 11 minutes because she didn't know anything about getting custody and had to talk to one of her other supervisors. I was needing help, I was desperate and she did not have the urge to do anything she had told me. She was EXTREMELY rude on the phone call and it was unacceptable. I then days later after waiting got told that she couldn't help me and recommended me to just do it on my own. I do NOT recommend this law firm or better yet Jennifer. She was not good at all.

Mr. Brinson helped me so much through my divorce. It was not something I ever thought I would go through, and Mr. Brinson was kind and understanding throughout the process. He answered my questions in a way that helped me understand some complicated things, but never made me feel dumb. I was also in contact with Mr. Brinson often because of my many questions and concerns, and he never got impatient with me. He always took the time to talk to me without seeming to rush. I felt like he truly cared about my situation and that he did his best to get me the best outcome possible. I couldn't recommend him any more highly.

I am disabled and Alex Brinson was assigned to me for divorce on a 30 year marriage from a husband that was controlling and abusive. When Alex told me he was dropping me because couldn't get husband served (even though husband in military) I didn't know what to do so I tried to find him myself (with backup assistance of course). When Alex found out he was extremely rude and told me I didn't act like an abused spouse and was a stalker. I cannot believe how rude and unprofessional this attorney was to me. He has no idea what I have been through and how controlling my husband was. I just want a divorce!!! Alex has no clue about military divorces nor what all was required when filing paperwork with the court. Don't expect him to go above and beyond for you or be professional. I don't even know why he works through legal aide if he doesn't plan on providing appropriate services. With his limited knowledge on divorce and rude demeanor I would never recommend him to anyone!

Mr. Fix was willing to look into and help me regarding my grandmothers estate. While I had trouble getting others to help or even listen, Mr. Fix actually took the time to look into the situation. He was willing to help sort out what was going on. He went above and beyond and helped me get answers. His assistance helped give me some closure and provided some much needed details into all that had occured.
If I had been able to move forward I undoubtedly would of hired Mr. Fix.

I hired Bill to help me with a probate case. He was very attentive at first but with time he began to not return my calls, emails and letters sent in the mail. I’ve called him for the last 6 months trying to get probate closed and he won’t even provide an excuse for the lack in communication. I’ve paid him in full, which I guess was my mistake.

Mr. Kern represented me in 2021. I wanted to wait until my case was settled before speaking about my experiences, so if you have found this review too late before experiencing the same please forgive me. These are my opinions of my experiences as a client.
I met with Mr. Kern and described my situation to him. He presented himself as a competent and experienced attorney with a specialty in family law. Reading through other reviews here, it appears his specialty is adoption and I'm sure he has done good work there and has helped a lot of people. He listened to my concerns and gave some feedback, and in my limited experience and knowledge it seemed like good feedback/advice at the time. I would go on to retain Mr. Kern , a mistake I would regret.
It wasn't until about a month later when I noticed something was off. Mr. Kern often did not respond to questions via email. When he did respond the answers were sometimes vague or even non-answers.
Having now been to a successful mediation I can confidently say the mediation with Mr. Kern was a mismanaged and mishandled disaster. Despite my pleas; from my perspective Mr. Kern did little to nothing to prepare me for mediation, did not provide useful feedback on my independent preparation for it, and otherwise did not represent me or my interests during mediation.
During mediation Mr. Kern asked the mediating attorney for advice and guidance concerning the matters at hand. This is when I found out he was not as competent in this area of practice as I needed him to be, during a mediation. Mr. Kern did not advocate for me, and at some points was openly ridiculing my lack of legal knowledge in front of the mediating attorney. Please bear in mind I had begged him to prepare and educate me beforehand in the months leading up to the mediation. The mediating attorney appeared far more knowledgeable and I received my education and advice during mediation.
A week after this predictable failure of a mediation, Mr. Kern contacted me to disclose he would no longer represent me as he didn't feel as though he could reach my goals. My opinion was Mr. Kern likely knew he could not reach my goals during our initial consultation months previously. From my perspective Mr. Kern knowingly accepted a retainer from me and wrote specific actions he was responsible for in a Representation Agreement (filing of contempt charges), with no intention of ever executing the agreed upon actions. I feel this way because had he intended to do what he said he would, he would have done it, and without me begging and nagging. I contacted Mr. Kern and made it clear I was not attacking him or his character as a person, but as an attorney he did not perform anywhere near to my expectations, he failed to execute the scope of our Representation Agreement, and I felt that I was entitled to be refunded some fees. His response to this was he would not be returning any fees.
I have had time to think about this situation and how it could have worked out differently or had a better outcome. The only solution I could imagine working was to avoid Ted Kern. I have also had a lot of time to work on forgiveness and giving Mr. Kern the benefit of the doubt. In this situation I cannot give him the benefit of the doubt. He is a nice man and sells himself well, but he did not instill confidence in his abilities to me and did not perform to a level congruent with his hourly rate. When someone knowingly does some of the things Mr. Kern did (or failed to do), gets called out for them politely, and refuses to apologize or offer reparations for their actions we can deduce the issue may be related to issues of character versus a mistake made. My opinion I've developed is he is of poor character professionally. Be careful who you choose in custody matters, some attorneys are more engaged than others. In my case, he felt like controlled opposition and I was often in disbelief regarding his conduct.

When the situation turned less contentious, he pivoted to help us with the (ultimately successful) adoption process. We have never once regretted our decision to hire Mr. Kern; he is a good, ethical lawyer, and we are so thankful for his services.

The attorney manipulated his client by not disclosing cost on his end and cost for supervised visits at $400 an hour. Kids are back in an unsafe environment since attorney refused to go to court. Paid $13,000.00 and came away with nothing. My children are in danger and this attorney only cares about money and how many cases he can close in a 3 month period.

If I could give no stars, I would. Clint was of zero help to me and if my case was going to be something that would give me maybe $1500 in my pocket. I am unsure on why I paid $400 for a consult. I guess that 15 minutes was what their time was worth. A disappointment to say the least. Another attorney was able to better look at this with a much different outcome. Don’t waste your time. I only do honest reviews. BEWARE!!

If you can't get Jo Ann, Blair is your next pick. Even though she couldn't figure it out she was also in the wrong jurisdiction. Blair was the opposing counsel. She also had the same tendencies where they don't care to take dads away who haven't done nearly as bad as other dads. This firm is NOT for dads. Though they are bulldogs. You may be able to get them to fight for you. Now if you're a woman, you'll get what you want in court with this firm. Blair gets 2 stars because Jo Ann got 3. It's half personal and professional.

Law Office of John M. Boucher.
I cant speak for the other individuals who rate this mam a 1 nor is it any of my concerns but I just had to state the facts. To not draw this out to be a long detailed story, I can tell you John Boucher made a difference in not just my life but the people involved in it.
I had some pretty serious charges against me that wasn't just going to send me away to prison for some years but ruin my record for life as a felon. Dealing with my career path I was doing before this allegations, I knew I had to get the best lawyer in Knoxville to handle my case carefully as be dedicated. With the fact he was prior military as in the legal profession, that said alot about him and his knowledge. He went above and beyond and believed in my innocence making me feel confident on the case being resolved properly.
It has taken a good length of time to get this case as these charges put behind me but with his hard work and determination to get justice served for me it has worked out very well. I was always a bias on the legal system esp dealing with minorities but the reassurance of Mr. Boucher along with his professionalism, I knew I was in good hands. The times I wanted to give up or give in to a plea bargain he pushed me to know we will prove my innocence so was no need to either of those.
To sum it all up, I am a true believer that the legal system can be a hassle as can be down right impossible to understand esp when you are innocence. I came to Mr. John Boucher and put my faith in his hands on this matter along all the other issues going on and he proved to me that there are great dedicated lawyers out there who wont give you the run arounds or bs you. I cant thank him enough for all he has done for me and fought for me on this long legal battle

I consulted with John Boucher and hired this law firm for a pretty major charge. He gave me the impression that the charges could be dismissed and that he would represent me. I paid him upfront and in full and thereafter things changed. He would not answer emails or phone calls. The night before the case, he ignores all of my previous questions/comments and tells me that he had passed my case off to another attorney. Then the morning of the case, the new attorney calls me asking about the details of the case! I was very disappointed that he hadn't prepared or even been told the situation until the very last minute. Surprisingly, the jail time was negotiated down, but this entire situation was an awful experience.

I spent nearly a year in jail after being falsely accused of some very horrible crimes. I had a great job up at Y-12, and home, and a great little life until the accusations. My previous attorney took my money, and while I rotted in jail waiting on a trial, I lost my job, my house to foreclosure, and my family. If I could give no stars, I would. Clint was of zero help to me and if my case was going to be something that would give me maybe $1500 in my pocket. I am unsure on why I paid $400 for a consult. I guess that 15 minutes was what their time was worth. A disappointment to say the least. Another attorney was able to better look at this with a much different outcome. Don’t waste your time. I only do honest reviews. BEWARE!!

Attorney Roger Hyman may know law, but in my meeting with him he was arrogant and insulting. Although no-one likes hearing they don’t have a case, his manner destroying it was scornful, antagonistic, humiliating and shocking. Just the day before, another attorney in the firm believed I had a strong case and set up the appointment. Because of this, I wasn’t prepared for his almost combative attitude from the very first minute.
When I tried to give him a brief overview of my case, saying it would only take a couple minutes to read my notes, he didn’t want to hear it. He began firing questions and appeared pleased when I was startled. He discredited every key element of an expert’s 29-page damage report. When I tried to protest, he cut me off by saying I wasn’t listening. I felt like I was on a witness stand being interrogated by an attorney representing the other party.
I am 80 years old. Over the several decades of my life I have worked with attorneys on numerous matters. I have never before written a complaint review, but this consultation, for which I paid a fee, was the most sickening I’ve ever experienced.
