My husband had pending cases in both New Orleans and St Bernard Parish. He also has a pretty bad record. Mr Alfonse spent two years working in both courts. Before we hired him, our last attorney tried to tell him to take a ten year sentence. That’s when we hired Mr Alfonse. He convince the judges and DA’s that basis of all these charges were my husbands addictions problems. No only did he keep him out of jail, he helped him get into drug court and was even his sponsor for the last 4 years. He still helps my husband stay in recovery. I would highly recommend Alphonse to all my friends and family. He literally saved me and my family's lives. It took 3 years battling the district attorney and he stuck with me every step of the way not asking for more money and truly concerned for my family. We went all the way to jury trial with this with me possibly facing a minimum 5 year sentence. To see him in action and defending me and my family was something amazing. Janeane has to be the worst attorney. My wife used her for 5 years and she only got 1 thing accomplished in the divorce. Never filed any other motion for settlements even though she lied about she did. She will never call you back. Finally responded after 2 years of trying to reach her and then nothing again for several months. Hired a new attorney in November and this new art has done more in 2 months than Janeane did in 5 years. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

Corey recently did a property settlement for me. I had been married for 25 years. Therefore, the settlement was complicated. I wanted to take an opportunity to write a review for Erik Burns. He represented me in 2012 for a child custody hearing. Erik fought zealously for my rights as a parent and for my daughter, researching and working beyond the scope of his engagement. He was able to get excellent information on record, as well. I am fortunate to have had Erik as my attorney and proud to call him my friend.
Now that I am a Tulane graduate in General Legal Studies and a competent paralegal, I can intelligently comment and praise Erik in his professionalism and efforts. He wrote an amazing motion and was very thorough in his details covering the facts and enumerating the legal issues at hand before the court. Even though we lost, it wasn't because Erik wasn't awesome, didn't do his job or because he dropped the ball. It was because we had a prejudiced judge, plain and simple. And sadly, that happens, but losing does NOT deter me from confidently recommending Erik or from praising his valiant efforts. A non-biased judge would have made a different call.

I went to speak to Mr. Guillory regarding a DWI that I received about 1 month prior to going in to his office. Once we started taking, I mentioned that I was involved in a horrible custody fight. I didn't realize that Josh handled child custody issues, too. I thought it was two totally different areas of the law, but he explained how much the DWI case could impact my custody case. I am so glad that I went with Josh Guillory for both cases. He and his staff really got me through a very tough period. I hired Chris to represent me for a claim against my own insurance company. Even though I had uninsured motorist insurance and the driver who t-boned me had only $15,000 and I needed a surgery, my insurance company nickled and dimed me and refused to pay me anything. Well, that led me to hire Chris, and he stepped in and that was the end of that. He made the insurance company admit they were wrong for not paying me and got me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Michael handled a family law case for me that was hell to say the least. I tried representing myself and was also ripped off by a previous attorney. I presented my case to him with just hopes of being able to speak to my children. The opposing counsel even told Michael there was no shot at me getting my kids. The opposition had painted a false picture of me to the court. Thankfully, Mr. Capdeboscq took my case. After taking Micheals advice, my case was beginning to get easier and I was seeing my children again. Now I have my kids and I feel that none of it could have been done without Micheals help. About a year ago I was in a car wreck, my very first, and I was not at fault.
