Audrey was great, supportive and reliable. each time i called she was responsive and i am thankful for her effort, she came to court about 10 time for my case and did not ask for any extra time cost which i think she did it because i had to pay a big amount of return to my client and she knew that was putting me in a tight financial situation and was the only way to get out of the mess, That to me is valuable in a person. Something we should know that i learned is lawyers work based on the document you have not your story, I was almost getting charges and being guilty because i pleaded guilty but i realized I have to dig into my document and send them to her which took my hours and days and when I sent them she started to organize them and send me things for correction and presented a great defense and finally from pleading guilty the case dropped and all charges to Null. I will gladly share my experience here, as it changed my life. Without going into dramatic details I am a father who cares very much about my son. Helping him develop into a responsible adult is the most important part of my life. Prior to coming to A Team family law that was going to be a impossible task. The facts are that hiring a lawyer is a expensive adventure regardless of the circumstances but Valerie was more than fair with me when it came to charging me for her time. Hopefully I will never need these types of services again but if I do I couldn't imagine hiring anyone but Valerie. I will never be able to truly express my gratitude but just know that it was a life changing experience for me and I got everything that I wanted and everything I deserved.

Ms. Burrows has a temper and while charming at times is frequently unable to control irritable outbursts and personal biases that can have serious consequences on your case in a collaborative or court-based environment. She is not thorough or careful in speech or conduct, and has mad ad hominem attacks on professional settings and in out of court negotiations. This behavior would be sanctioned if the same conduct appeared before a judge. Her conduct breaks court rules, she encouraged parties to file in court, w/ haste and flippantly, rather than focusing on ensuring costs were minimized for the needs of children. She regularly asserted incorrect statements of basic family law, regarding rules of admissible evidence under specific statutes. She has strayed far from several ethical requirements required of attorneys, including acting within the best interest of the children. This is especially dangerous for families of limited means with minor children.

Alex and his firm helped me with my third party custody case where I needed to gain De Facto Parentage. With myself being the third party and up against the child’s biological parents. The outcome was fantastic and I was up to speed on everything happening the whole way, along with the guidance on what exactly to do! I'll forever regret my decision to hire Barbara Jorgensen as my divorce attorney. I am still suffering from the repercussions. My divorce should have been simple. My ex had a warrant out for his arrest due to a crime against a neighbor. He also had priors and had engaged in many actions causing great risk to me. I'd just been diagnosed with lifelong critical illness but this was pushed into taking on the impossible. The economy had collapsed and the property (that the ex was afraid to go near) was severely upside down in value. He wasn't contributing towards the property payments, and left me with an unmanageable number of expenses that were his responsibility. Barbara Jorgensen ignored all of these circumstances. She even told me that types of support other divorcees were successfully arranging did "not exist" and that his crimes and lack of financial contributions were somehow irrelevant to his demands for money that did not exist. While she may have advocated for her clients back in 1985, both her skills and focus were very outdated decades later. She was often outright condescending towards me as her client and kept confusing my account for another client's who was delinquent in payments. She also told me I had no choice but to continue with tasks and expenses for superfluous actions from my ex's attorney whereas in reality I could have walled away or ignored most of it. It was well known that the mess drained my savings and left me in a literal long-term trap. As a final display of not caring about her clients, she even sent a disruptive and embarrassing younger attorney to court the day my ridiculous divorce agreement was filed. I was leery of most of her decisions but was going off of Washingtonian Magazine's endorsements. This is not an attorney who will advise to your benefit. This is the type of lawyer who still believes that attorneys are automatically respected and assumed to be brilliant, thereby giving them the ability to make up rules and advice that their clients won't question. This may have been the case in 1985 but certainly wasn't by then. With the immature JGL junior attorney solidifying my overall impression, I've steered friends and colleagues away from this firm ever since.

I hired Mr. Song after contacting several lawyers and talking through my situation with them. I chose Mr. Song because of all the lawyers, he was the only one to come with confidence and laid out a plan. He clearly had my best interests in mind throughout the process, communicated every step of the way, and made sure I was getting the best possible outcome. He far surpassed my expectation and the outcome was the absolute best possible outcome I could of wished for. Elizabeth is an outstanding lawyer. She thoroughly understands the legal and emotional process of separation and divorce and the impact on families and children. She is calm, firm, and very skillful in her approach to the process. She is also very patient as these matters sometimes take months and years to adjudicate. Furthermore, her fees are reasonable considering her expertise and the time involved. I feel lucky that she "hand held" me through my situation and was empathetic to the psychology of my former partner. She had a good handle on things from a financial and psychological standpoint and has the experience to adjust to the need of the client depending on the situation..ie, level of contention between estranged spouses. I highly recommend Elizabeth if you are in the process of seeking counsel and she is available. Good luck !

Why would you handle issues alone, when you have this firm available? In July of 2024 the air conditioner in my house stopped working. I then did what most people would do and contacted Lowe's. They then referred me to Appalachian Heating. I called and was asked to abandon the purchase with Lowe's and to go with one of their units. I told her that I have always been happy with Lowe's and would like to stick with purchasing one from them. She then went out to the property and told me which unit I would need to purchase, to fit my house. I then made the purchase. After that, she told me to make a deposit of $1,283.50 to get the installation started and I paid it. The installation was then scheduled. When the first date we scheduled approached, it was canceled and rescheduled. Then, the second date arrived and they began installation. As it turned out, they had me purchase a wrong device, that was sold separately from the Forced Air unit and said they'd be back in a couple of days. A couple of days turned into approximately 3 weeks. They came back out to put the "correct" device in and then told me that the whole unit won't wire correctly to my house. They told me I had to pay an additional $1,500 to correct their error. They told me to purchase this unit, and that it would fit. If it doesn't fit, then they should have returned the unit and get the correct one, or install whatever wiring is needed to make it correctly fit my house. They tried to pretend it isn't their problem that it is a wiring issue. That is the very problem, they told me to buy this unit and if there is a wiring issue, the above two avenues are the way to fix it and they need to do so. I then had tenants living in the house that have no heat, because of this issue. I got FFT involved. They wrote him a letter. Lowe's, by now, agreed to pay $750 to help. The installer stuck to his guns. But, once they received the letter from FFT, they tried to pretend they already agreed to cover the other $750. This was him attempting to lie. I would have never had this outcome if not for FFT. Do not go alone into situations when there is a firm like this available to you. THANK YOU so much for all of your help. I couldn't have made this happen if not for you.
