I couldn’t be more satisfied and thankful for Ms. Dana Whitten and her service and the result of my case enough. In every respect, Dana handled my case with professionalism and personal care. Ms. Dana Whitten, who proved to be the most amazing legal support I could imagine. Dana immediately represented me in court on my behalf. She communicated thoroughly with me on Facetime, email and phone calls so that I wouldn’t have to travel to Maryland personally, b/c I live in CA. Ms. Whitten is trustworthy, smart, honest, knowledgeable, experienced, and a very positive, productive attorney who consistently gave me excellent advice. Ms. Mukesh is an outstanding attorney. She handled my divorce case and did a great job. She has a small practice and because of that she is able to provide personal attention to all the details of the case. She is very knowledgeable and explains the ins and outs of the case. Sandy Steeves has been such a great child support and custody attorney to have around. Lauren Leffler was just the attorney my family needed. My spouse and I approached her with the thought we were making small edits to our wills, but she helped us realize that we needed a full revamp. She was really knowledgeable about our unique needs and we feel secure that our wishes will be upheld thanks to our documents that she created. It would not have happened with the old ones. We’re so relieved to have found her!
A few months later, we needed to update my parents’ documents, this was much more of a time crunch than ours. After our good experience, I reached out to her for help. She got their documents done with the speed we needed. She was equally knowledgeable about my parents’ needs, which were very different from my own. We’ve been doing a lot of meetings for my parents these days getting their affairs tidied up, and Lauren has been the only one who has come to the initial consultation meeting having read their existing documents in advance.
Their office is easy to get to, but for my housebound parents, she came to their apartment.
My sibling plans to use Lauren to update their documents, my other sibling who lives out of state is disappointed they can’t use her (they asked).
We’ll definitely call Lauren in the future for any needs that arise.

I hired Lauren to help me with a guardianship case. There are not enough good things I can possibly say about my experience with her. First off I had a warrant for my arrest. I contacted Craig Kadish and hired him to represent me. Within 2 days the warrant was squashed and I had a court date issued.
I allegedly owed $5,000 for damages to the car that was taken. At the first appearance we made a deal that didn't require me to plead guilty, which I was very happy about. At the second and final appearance the plaintiff didn't even show up! I can't promise that Craig will make your plaintiff disappear but he sure made mine!!!!!

Mr. Kadish recently represented me in a case in Howard County (one of the tougher counties in Maryland). I hired Maria to represent me in a case that was the result of a car accident where I suffered medical injuries. The case went to court before a judge. Maria did an excellent and through job of representing the facts of my case to the judge. She was extremely well prepared, competent and organized. She spent many hours collecting all of the background information and detailed medical records. All of the materials were put together and analyzed to support my case.
I was able to receive a fair judgement to pay my medical bills and reimbursement for the time I needed to take off from work for treatment.

Mrs. Petterson is an outstanding attorney. From the start, she seemed genuinely interested in my case. She is very patient and a great listener! Dorothy R Fait was my lawyer in an extremely difficult divorce involving child custody. She advised me throughout the process without any issues; very responsive and responsible professional. All my questions and urgent requests were answered immediately, she never made me wait - which is a very important factor in high conflict cases. Erin was my divorce attorney through an extremely messy and contentious situation. During the entire process she was unfailingly patient with me, taking the time to explain some of the more arcane or complex parts of the process to me so that I could better understand (and be responsive to) the many requests by the Court for documents. The wrong attorney uses these emotions and feeds it to build billable hours. The wrong attorney promises things that most often they know they can't deliver, again, just to build billable hours.
At the end of last October my marriage started to unravel and suddenly within one weeks it came to an end. I was faced with having to hire an attorney.
I always do lots of research before doing anything but time was not on my side. I studied the web, looked up many attorneys, read their bios, and read reviews as much as I could. I narrowed the field down to seven attorneys and tried to talk with them or to meet with them. Several of them never returned my call. I made an appointment with five.
I had the good fortune to meet with Mr. Pearlstein as my second appointment and after leaving his office I cancelled all other appointments. He was and is amazing. He listened to me attentively, he never gave me false promises. What I really appreciated was that he did not take the position of let's fry the other side, and let's do this and that. As we worked together I began to realize just how fortunate I was. He knew exactly how to calm me down, how to communicate with the other side, he knew exactly what to do. He knows the law, what is the right thing to do and all along I knew that his most important focus was the best outcome for me and absolutely, definitely not building billable hours. I have developed such respect and appreciation for this man and I am so grateful for finding him.
I am not much for writing reviews but if you are in the position of needing a family lawyer I would definitely say that he is in my opinion absolutely the best. During a divorce one stands to lose much with the wrong lawyer and to end up with an astronomical legal fee on top of the losses is not something that one recovers from. I believe that Mr. Pearlstein delivers the best outcome as he has done for me."

I had a two hour consultation with Mr. Lastra concerning my pending divorce and custody matter.
I have multiple children with my spouse, including a stepchild from their previous marriage whose life I've been a part of since they were very little. Shortly into our meeting, Mr. Lastra asked me about my children and whether our relationship was biological, and then explained very compassionately that - unfortunately - if it were contested by either or both of their biological parents, he would not be able to guarantee me custody of or access to my stepchild as a de facto parent. He assured me that if he were representing me and I truly did want to pursue it against all odds that he would do everything in his power to help, but cautioned that it would likely be a long and costly uphill battle with an uncertain outcome.
As heartbreaking as that was to hear, Mr. Lastra was the first lawyer to really prioritize and ask about my concerns for the children rather than choose to focus on my spouse and our finances and marital property. His honesty about that - the one outcome I care most about - gave me peace of mind that he wasn't just telling me what I want to hear to get me to sign his retainer.
Additionally, while his consultation was not free, without my even having to ask, Mr. Lastra was extremely considerate of my budget. At the very beginning of the meeting, he verified the hourly rate that I had been quoted previously and told me how long his consultations with other people typically lasted. Then, every twenty minutes or so, he was kind enough to let me know how much billable time had elapsed and allowed me to set the pace of our discussion accordingly.
Throughout the rest of our meeting, Mr. Lastra was both extremely inquisitive and educational. Rather than simply listen to my account of events, he engaged frequently, asking regular questions and taking notes. He also shared a wealth of his own knowledge, pulling from both general law and process as well as experiences gained from similar cases he'd handled in the past. During our consultation, I felt both well listened to and that I was speaking with an obvious expert.
Prior to our meeting, I had discussed this matter with a few other lawyers, and while they were all quite professional and empathetic, none of them felt like they were being as realistic with me about the possible timelines, outcomes, costs, and the availability of themselves and their associates to adequately represent me and my family's interests as Mr. Lastra did. Though his rates are above average, my first impression from my consultation is that there is very good justification for it. He has absolutely earned my endorsement.

When I was served with a temporary restraining orders from my wife, kids and residence on a Sunday morning, my world flipped upside down. I never had domestic issues before so I was scared beyond belief. Thank the moon and stars for Natasha! She got back to me on a Sunday, calmed me down and said she would be at court the following day at 8a. OMG the relief! The next morning the hearing was heard. Natasha's task was very very hard. The evidentiary standard for me to be removed from my home was very low. The judge made this clear to us all. The judge then asked if I would just consent. The amount of stress I felt was crazy. Low bar did not sound good at all. We proceed to trial and it was exactly what you never want to see and hear. A so called loved one spewing lies under oath and "fishing" for anything they can find to meet a "low bar". The expedition went back 10 years in time, things me and Natasha never had a chance to discuss as it was never mentioned in this complaint. Natasha did not fret at all during the hearing. Natasha tore my ex up pretty badly on cross. To the point of reminding her about perjury. My ex's lawyer was forced into speaking mostly after that point and Natasha shut that down. The judge had seen enough of the act. The order was struck down and I was able to return to my home where I have lived since Natasha's win for me that day in court July 2019.
Most guys don't get past this point. Once your out the house, the narrative changes, especially with kids involved.
Along with this restraining order, my ex charged me with criminal charges as well. After a quick discussion with the prosecutor, Natasha had the state drop these frivolous charges before the judge even took the bench. Our defense was based on the previous testimony. Natasha's cross examination was that strong.
Natasha takes abuse of the system very seriously. She knows her criminal law and she knows how it is abused. She is a blessing for me and my family. I recommend her very highly and cannot thank her enough for what she has done for me and my family.
