Ms. Whitehouse represented me in my divorce proceedings and always provided excellent guidance and legal advice, in a calming and confident manner, through a very stressful and intimidating process. I want to send a note to thank you all for the excellent work that you all have done with regards to my legal issues. From the very first time I spoke with Farhan on the initial consultation, I had a very good feeling that I was working with a very professional and competent firm. Farhan did a great job of explaining the process and his plan to reach the goals we had for this case. The entire team was wonderful in working with me on the discovery portion of the project. I did not mention that I am over 1,100 miles away from their offices. Yet, the process went exactly as planned, and as smooth as if I had been living across town. The case progressed through Mediation and a Motion hearing, and I was completely at ease as Farhan and his staff were there with me for every phase, ready and well-armed with information, data, and excellent arguments to bring my case to a conclusion. Farhan Hassan is the lawyer you need if you are feeling bullied, intimidated, and afraid of the repercussions of even starting the divorce process. I’ve heard Farhan and his paralegal Heather referred to as the “dynamic duo” by other legal professionals, and they will help you through the panic and frustration. I had the honor of having Farhan Hassan as my divorce attorney . Farhan takes the confusion out of the legal process, all the uncertainty out of “what if’s”, and all of the punch out of the opposing attorney’s attacks. This man simply cannot be threatened. Farhan responded to each of my ex-husband’s threats and unfounded court summons with such dignity and airtight logic, that my ex-husband (who I once feared) and his attorney ended up looking rediculous as they surrendered every attack, gained nothing, and left a paper trail of misconduct. My ex-husband expected me to quietly leave my home of 20 years with nothing from the joint savings account and without my children. He had no intention of buying me out of the house, establishing a parenting schedule, or paying spousal/child support. In his mind, everything we built together belonged to him (you know the type). Instead, Farhan promptly established temporary spousal support so I could leave the environment, ensured that 1/2 the equity in the house was paid to me, negotiated child support and other child related expenses, established a parenting schedule and set up a 3rd party communication system so conduct is documented and personal interactions limited, and negotiated permanent spousal support with a cost of living adjustment. Additionally, he secured my financial future by requiring my ex-husband to carry enough life insurance to protect my spousal support in all eventualities. Farhan is an amazingly capable attorney, and has more integrity in his little finger that my ex-husband and his attorney combined could muster up in a life time. If you are looking for a cut throat lawyer who will stop at nothing to hoard money and make women suffer, then he is not the attorney for you. Farhan fights against people like this. If I could give him a 6th star I would, with a 7th star for his paralegal Heather.

My experience with Brian throughout my divorce solidified the fact that I will continue to use him whenever I have a need for representation that he can fill. I would also provide his name and contact information to any close friend or family member who needed a solid referral. In my case, I believe the results speak highest of Brian's skill and ability. He negotiated terms that were highly favorable to me. In private meetings, he always presented both sides to me and talked through all of our options and potential corresponding outcomes. However, when it came time to sit at the table with opposing counsel, he was firm, professional, and effective and my biggest advocate. I have engaged Brian since my divorce was final for additional needs and will absolutely continue to do so. My experience with Jacob Erickson was excellent. This is a person who knows his craft and will walk the extra mile for you. He gave my case all the time and attention that was needed to be successful in court. He was a calming and confident presence during a very nerve-racking process. He was completely understanding, and professional and worked very diligently to the end and I’m so grateful!  Although my case involved fighting to maintain my current level of child support I receive, and I don’t make much money myself, I never once was treated as anything other than a valuable client by Mr. Erickson and the entire SPOE staff. I had a tax situation which I tried to find help in resolving. I was in debt of $84,000 to the IRS. I found many companies who took a retainer and did absolutely nothing for me except take my money. I tried other supposed reputable sources who again were useless. Finally, My accountant recommended Wildes Law Firm, ( Tax Tiger of Minnesota) so I was skeptical, but saw they had great reviews, so I arranged for the free initial meeting. I met with them and they were terrific. They, at first recommended I try to resolve the situation myself since I had some knowledge and that they didn't want to take my money unless I absolutely felt that I wanted their help. They spent a lot of time answering my questions so I decided to let them help me. All through the process, they were patient, professional and knowledgeable answering my concerns about the process. Because of their knowledge, expertise and experience, my tax issue, which had caused me much anxiety was resolved with the very best outcome possible. Thank you again I am finally free.

The first thing I must say is I am beyond thankful to have stumbled across the incredible human being, Rick, who also happens to be one hell of a lawyer. There is no one I would recommend more as a lawyer than Rick and the firm itself (Universal Defense). If you’d like to read my long story book as to why, see below. Unfortunately, last year I found myself needing to find a criminal defense attorney due to unforeseen life circumstances. This was my first time in my adult life personally experiencing the state court system and I had no clue what to expect or how to navigate anything. I had paralyzing anxiety and nobody seemed to have any answer’s to help. After hours of online research, I ended up locating Universal Defense and many other offices so I called and left dozens of voicemails. (This was very late at night.) Rick returned my call quickly and took the time to explain to my clearly overwhelmed self what the next steps looked like. He was extremely empathetic and kind throughout the whole process. Rick treated my fiancé and I with the kindness you would expect from close family from day one. He always came to court prepared, well-dressed, and on time. Rick and his office team made sure we had all documents, courses, and court date information as needed. It was clear in court when representing us that Rick was very knowledgeably in regard to criminal law and court proceedings. He carries himself well within the court room and comes across charismatically to all parties. (Which is a phenomenal skill in the legal world, IMO) Throughout the whole court process, Rick was able to offer recommendations and file motions to remove a NCO ultimately leading to my family being reunited. I truly believe without Rick’s expertise and assistance I would still be fighting within the court system to have my family back together. Thankfully because of all the assistance of Rick and the Universal Defense team, I get to spend my nights at home cuddling my mini zoo (3 dogs and a cat) and my fiancé again. Forever grateful for the assistance of Rick and Universal Defense for helping me get my life back.

I worked with this wonderful team Katie and Amanda for my divorce. They were so helpful and patient. It was a difficult divorce and many times, they not only took care of the legal matters, but they also helped me calm down and understand what was going on. Andrew and me had a first introductory meeting wherein he listened to my issues deligently on B1/B2 denial I have been facing. His understanding on the whole situation, being complex and making recommendations on my case has been insightfull. His recommendations on my case are usefull and hope to achieve success. I worked with Lee Orwig and Kailee Gallagher regarding a dog bite case; I appreciate that, despite the high likelihood of settlement, they still gathered evidence and prepared to go to trial. Furthermore, Mr. Orwig handled the negotiations without much effort from me but kept me involved during every step of the settlement process, taking no action without my explicit approval.
