If you have an unfair, tough, on going, & pro longed custody case with your kids biological parent (wether you're mom or dad) - You will not be disappointed with this firm. I consulted with John initially, and thought I couldn’t afford him. To my dismay, I retained another lawyer who was decent but didn’t safeguard issues the way John had outlined in our initial consultation. Unfortunately, due to lack of prevention in my initial trial proceedings, another motion was filed against me, and I then retained his services. I spent over $10k from not utilizing his advice and suggestions. I could have spent less than half of that, if I would have retained him the first time. I cannot promise you that he can save the world; but he will advise you appropriately. He will not let you indulge in the abyss of desire that will never come to fruition. He and his associate, Tom, were up front and honest about what to expect and predict. I’m pleased with his practice and services. He’s reasonable and down to earth. If you need answers to simple questions, subscribe to his YouTube Channel or newsletter. I learned the best way to save money, is to go to him prepared with your documents organized. He’ll handle the rest.

I would highly recommend this law firm. I was very happy with my experience at FFLS. My now Ex and I went through Mediation with Laura and I was impressed by how simple and logical she made the process. All communications were timely, all instructions were clear and she really helped make what could have been a very difficult situation much easier by being great to work with.
I was so happy with the work she did to help us through the mediation process that I actually went back to the firm to help me with another separate civil matter. Once again, I was extremely satisfied with the representation I received. The case was not an easy one, and it took a lot of communication and coordination, but the quality of the attorneys (I worked with two including Laura) and staff at FFLS lead to a positive outcome.

I came on here 6 months ago confused, hurt, and looking for help when my husband who walked out on us 3 months prior filed for custody of the children. My husband was abusive verbally, emotionally, and physically but I unfortunately had very very little proof. He is extremely narcissistic, and I honestly never thought I could escape him, even after his leaving he continued to haunt me by trying to snatch the kids I worked so hard to protect from him just to hurt me (knowing this is my weak point) to make matter harder, I couldn't file for divorce because of religion, which he knew exactly how to use against me. I am saying all this just to show how completed this case was, but Sarah Jennifer Jacobs (with JacobsBerger in Morristown) was GOD SENT. And that's even an understatement. I came to her with my case and she was extremely understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She took so much time studying my case and religion as to be prepared for this case. She answered emails regularly and promptly herself, even on holidays. Made sure I was comfortable with every step she took, stayed super late to make sure my papers that were submitted were to my liking, and even the day of trial, asked me to do the zoom from her office (so I feel more confident) and offered to get me lunch. She's a true human with a soul and not a money thirsty lawyer that just wanted to prolong my case so she can keep earning. She faced a "NJ top lawyer" that specializes in fathers rights, and she didn't even stand a chance against Sarah. She was strategic, knowledgeable, prepared, and have a hell of an oral argument that made the judge see right through the myriads of lies and fake evidence my husband had against me (because ofcourse he wouldn't settle and wanted to take it to the judge). She was able to capture 17 years worth of incidences in a precise written statement that made me cry reading it, because it was as she lived it with me. can't possibly say enough about this amazing lawyer and human. I honestly hugged her after the trial as if she was my angel that gave my kids back. I promise I am not exaggerating here, if you've even dealt with narcissistic, you know how horrific that experience is, and to have a lawyer that as good as Sarah, made this almost easy.

Like any divorce, it's never easy. You win some, and you lose some... but ultimately, in divorce, everyone loses. When you have an attorney, that is kind hearted, genuine, and that has good morals, it makes the process easier. There were times, and are still times that I call just to vent... And Sarah has always listened to me, and told me the way it is...never once has she mislead me. Sarah has become much more to me than just an attorney, but one of my closest friends. I couldn't imagine having gone through this process with anybody else.

I write this review with my case still on-going. I feel that no matter the end result, my daughter and I received the best representation possible. I had a previous divorce attorney before hiring Mario. After exhausting my entire retainer and always feeling like they worked for the other side, I started my search for a new attorney/firm. I hit the jackpot with Mario and his firm. I know everyone involved in divorce believes that they are right and their ex-partner is wrong. I now know the difference when you hire an attorney that also believes in your rights and fights for your best interest without ever over-promising.

Candace is a excellent lawyer with a great staff that support her and her clients. When I first came to her I knew nothing about divorce or what I was getting ready to do. I explained to her my situation and that my first priority was protecting my children. She did not sugar coat anything. She explained the cost and how long this could take with this being a hostile divorce. She was spot on in the end with cost and time. She was very responsive always took my calls if she could or returned them quickly and the same with emails. When going through this kind of divorce you need to deal with lots of different people from therapists to investigators and real estate people and everyone in between. She knows them all and helps you find the right one for your case. When you start learning about divorce law in NJ it can make you very angry especially if you are the main earner in the house. Candace was very good at letting me vent my frustration with the law. Then she would calm me down and explain carefully to me what I need to do within the law to get through this divorce. It was kind of funny looking back at some of the simple things she did that got me through this. While meeting with a mediator she could hear in my voice or see my posture change and she would grab hand and give it a lite squeeze basically getting me to be quite before I said something I would regret. She came through for me and I got to keep my boys and as a bonus I got to keep the house. She worked with me the whole way through in all aspects of the divorce.

I have to say though not the situation I ever wanted myself to be in William was beyond amazing. He was always in more corner through my divorce. Not only did he close my case in 60 days, he walked me through everything. I hired another attorney and that was a mistake, he was able to clean up their mess and end a very bitter divorce. He always seemed to truly care about what was important and not just making a dollar off of me. Carolyn was a great advocate from the beginning. She was firm, smart and detailed. Carolyn took the time to understand my complex financial situation that involved me being self-employed as well as having several complex trust matters.
I was willing to "give away the farm" at the onset of proceedings, but Carolyn was able to settle my case for a much less than I had anticipated.
I originally chose Carolyn because I felt she could "play nice" in a settlement scenario, but also be fierce should we have had to go to trial.

Made math errors while having all the detail that cost me thousands of dollars. Promised to meet me for the closing and never called. Then shared that the Judge made his decision and the closing wasn't important. I watched the other side press an outstanding closing and not leaving a stone unturned. He told me the Judge doesn't like you. Several attorneys later explained it had to do with the delivery and the closing is as important, LAZY!

Sofia helped me with a prenuptial agreement ahead of my wedding. I cannot recommend The Law Office of Blair Zwillman highly enough. When my then 19-year old son got his only traffic ticket a few years ago, Mr. Zwillman pulled off a miracle. My husband and I are both non-practicing attorneys and almost lost our minds when we sat this ticket. It was over two feet long and contained 6 or 7 separate violations adding up to a more than $700 fine and so many points that my son almost lost his newly minted driver’s license. The NJ cop who pulled him over was clearly on a mission to more than exceed his quota that mouth as many of the violations he was cited for were clearly discretionary and over the top.
Long story short, we contested the ticket and Mr. Zwillman represented my son in traffic court. He vastly exceeded our expectations and got the ticket down to about $100 fine and just a few points. As a former traffic court judge myself, I can attest to Mr. Zwillman’s incredible skills in working with prosecutors and judges to achieve the best possible results for his clients. He is one of the best attorneys I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
